What can you say about the new additions to the Dallas Mavericks? With PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford, the Mavs get PJ from Charlotte in exchange for Grant Williams, Seth Curry, and a first-round pick. Daniel Gafford, on the other hand, came from Washington in exchange for Richauln Holmes and a first-round pick. Watching their game against the OKC last night, I think they are a great addition for the Mavs. They can be a lob threat every time Luka drives. Gafford, a high-flying big man, is a good pair with the Mavericks' first-round pick, Derek Lively III. Imagine them in the froncourt and Luka playing as the point. Lobs are everywhere if that happens.

PJ Washington, on the other hand, is a versatile forward who can stretch the floor and also slash through the rim. What's good about him is that he doesn't use the ball that much to score; he can score off the ball, and that's good because the Mavericks have a backcourt of Luka and Kyrie who are both ball dominant.

What is also good about this acquisition is that both Gafford and Washington are young; both of them are just 25 years old. They are not in their prime yet, which is good, but with proper training and workouts, I think they can be better in the future.

Overall, the Mavericks won that trade, as you can clearly see in their game against the OKC.

He's a drafted guy and there's really talent on it. It's just that he's sort of clumsy when he plays and converted that by the fans into entertainment. Anyway, we're just waiting for some crucial time for the Bucks and let's see if Doc is going to trust him with some playing time if that happens.

Maybe he will.

I really like to see them try, and I hope he can also play For sure he played 11 minutes the last time so in his next game maybe play him a little more because you can not see the player's potential if you don't play him for a much huge amount of time, for this season, I truly believe that the other Antetokoumpo could have the same genes as Giannis but for sure they can not have everything.

Ypu might be right these could be playoff previews we are getting today.  I'm laying hard on the Celtics.  Shoukd be a good game but I don't think the heat match uo well and am not buying them being a contender.  Might be proven wrong during the playoffs but I can't see them hanging with the celts here today.  Taking celts -6.5

The other game I'm not taking.  In my head this game could go either way they seem like they matchup well against each other.  Can't make heads or tails of it so I'm laying off.

The Celtics did a great job but it was a close game, to say the least, the Boston Celtics had a great 1st half but the Miami Heat rebounded a little in the 2nd half, but the Boston Celtics' lead was really something for them to play through and without Jimmy Butler on the team because he was on leave so Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo was the one that is suppressing the Boston Celtics to move even further, but even though they are pressuring the Celtics while vice versa the Boston Celtics is doing the same thing to Miami Heat.

Warriors definitely got an inspiring win over Suns. They are on a winning streak right now, doesn't look like they will be anywhere out. 10th is the best they will probably do and it looks like we are talking about something that would be a little bit easy and tough at the same time.

We are going to probably see another Lebron vs Curry battle, Lakers are 9th and probably going to stay 9th as well whereas Warriors will be 10th so they will battle each other at play-in tournament. This could definitely be a tough thing for them and it would not be all that simple and should be going for a while. The best thing about this is that normally play-in tournaments do not matter all that much but this will be viewed.

With just 1 point lead the Golden State Warriors got their win and it was Jonathan Kuminga's game night while Andrew Wiggins was starting to return to his former self, after maybe hearing the rumors that the Warriors are readying to trade him because of his performance was not really that great back then but right now his performance was really returning like his old self was back. if this continues then the Warriors will not need to trade any of its roster.

The Kings are playing great lately so I like them to win today, but I can’t say I’ll be watching. I’m even a little surprised the NBA is having games today to compete with the Super Bowl. I’d imagine the NFL is probably not overly excited about that development.
There were only two NBA matches today. The NBA showed homage to American football, the king of American sports.

Without a major change like exchanging Draymond Green or Andrew Wiggins, I do not expect the Warriors to go any further this season. There are two or more months remaining and many matches however I do not see them getting along nicely this season.

The Lakers also are not doing any better. However, the Lakers are more determined than the Warriors to make some changes this season. The Lakers have freely signed Spencer Dinwiddie and perhaps there are more coming this month.

Kyle Lowry signed with the Philadelphia 76ers after being bought out by the Miami Heat. Bless his heart chasing a championship. I just don’t think he has enough left in him to help a team win a championship. I’m also not sure how much playing time he’ll get on the 76ers…
Their main PG right now is Tyrese Maxey but with how he plays, he's more fit to be a Shooting Guard than a Point Guard. He's more efficient being at the 2 spot. Well, Maxey being their main PG is still good because he will get some veteran knowledge from a player like Kyle Lowry. Lowry might not have that much left in him anymore especially now that he's injury-prone, but I believe his veteran experience will help Maxey, especially in how to be an efficient PG.

In terms of a 2nd title for him, he will not be a main piece on it, but if he will be on a playoff contender team like the Sixers then there's a chance. Now the problem with the team is their main star is still out for weeks, and it might affect their standings. Well, it's good that they won their last game.

Overall, a good addition to the team still, but in terms of impact, it will be less to none.

We have two games tomorrow and it's too early in my timezone, so I might not be able to watch it but I'm betting in advance.

First game Boston vs Miami
2nd game Sacramento vs Oklahoma Thunder.

This is a great match up, it's like a playoff match up.
Obviously, the favorites here which are the Celtics and Thunder could gain a lot of bettors, but I'm thinking it is going to be an entertaining game as Miami always play competitive basketball to Boston (except for the last time). Further, Kings vs OKC is quite a great match up too, they could meet in the playoffs if they'll be able to maintain their standing, so it's hard to guess on who will win, but OKC had a very decent home record.

Dennis Schröder had a good debut game with the Brooklyn Nets as he helped the struggling nets to cut their losing streak.

He had a double double with 12   assists and 15 points. I think this is what the Nets need, a good point guard that could make everyone spread the floor effectively. Looking forward for more upcoming wins for this squad, they are fun to watch now with a great ball movement.

Final score of the game,  Nets 123 - Spurs 103.
Top scorer nets : Thomas 25 points
Top score for Spurs : Wemby 21 points but only had 4 rebounds.

DS sure is under appreciated in this league in my opinion. There is a reason he was the MVP at last year's world cup and he shows it often enough why. If he gets a job with enough playing time he can be a valuable asset for any team.
Sure he sometimes makes controversial statements but he just says what bothers him because he is a real team player that also wants to win. If the locker room is not clicking he will say so.

Another thing, the Dallas Mavs. Man they looked insane against OKC. The 2 new additions, Gafford and PJ Washington immediately delivered big. They really can be the missing piece for a deep playoff run. If Kyrie and Luka stay healthy they will be a force in the west I think.

I also can't understand how he can't be consistent anywhere. On the paper, he seems like a great player and often shows this but he can't stay in a team for a long time. As you pointed it out, he was great in the world cup, showed his true quality and got the award. I feel like he should show this in NBA too but he generally couldn't. The euroleague MVP Micic also couldn't get enough playing time, when he just traded recently, in his first game he had also a good performance. These european players are not bad players at all, I believe they are great but sometimes they can't show their game in the nba. On the other hand, I think the biggest stars in the nba right now are all overseas players, like Jokic, Doncic and Giannis. There is no reason Schröder can't show his true quality, but somehow it doesn't happen.

I think sometime role given by coach is one of factor that can affect the game of the player so maybe he's not priority on the court for past couple of years that's why he show inconsistency on the court. But I guess if coach will just trust them and the way how he handle the ball then maybe this will not be the last time we can see Schroder perform like this since as said he is quality player which prove for so many times and achieve good accolades overseas and on his NBA career.

Also try to check your comparison the guys you mentioned is the starts of their team where the play is design for them. While Schroder is not and usually he receive the ball and then pass it to the star of the team so expect his numbers will decline. But that's fine since until we see him playing in NBA that means he's still in demand with teams and can provide good contribution to his team.

If there are people who have been debating who's the goat, I bet that everyone is going to agree that Thanasis is the goat right now. We all need this entertainment value that he brings not just for his team but also to us.  Cheesy

Let's just give it to him as he's truly enjoying his entire career and look at his brother with that drive he made, proud Giannis on the bench.

Who knows if there will be some good contracts he'll get through shoes endorsements.  Cheesy

Wait a minute, don't conclude yet that he is the GOAT of entertainment.. It's not only Thanasis now as Beverly had already joined the club. Both of them are going to be the energizer of the team, while Pat Bev on the floor, it will be Thanasis job to take care on the bench.

Enough for Thanasis, I think it was a great decision that Beverly was acquired in a trade. I'm sure the Bucks are more interesting to watch especially if they'll get Beverly some good minutes as he can do some hassle in the floor that is vital especially on close games or when they are trying to rally.
Hahaha, Bucks became the source of GOATs for entertainment. After all the drama about changing the coach from Griffin to Doc, now people beloved Bucks again thanks to the goat!

If there are people who have been debating who's the goat, I bet that everyone is going to agree that Thanasis is the goat right now. We all need this entertainment value that he brings not just for his team but also to us.  Cheesy

Getting the Sarcasm aside well this is the 1st time seeing Thanasis Antetokounmpo making 11 points toward the game, it was really amazing but maybe he is training with his brother who really knows, as all Antetokounmpo brothers are just game fodder or bench warmers but maybe he will change we can surely never know.

That was a great ending and an impressive win for the Golden State Warriors who have been playing really well since Draymond’s return. Stephen Curry showed he still has it tonight with that last second shot to seal the win. Might be some fight left in those old dogs.

I watched it over and over again cause I missed Stephen Curry taking those kinds of shots like how he used to back in the old days. looks like they really find their rhythms and they are finally winning some streak games. They have won in their last 4 games and they are 7-3 in their last 10 games winning against the Suns at this rate, is amazing to watch. Looks like they will gain some more experience and get used to the new setup of their potential opponent in the Playoffs in their next games since they are against the top teams if they win these games, they will finally be back just like the old-time GSW, and that would be a scary threat for the Western Teams.

I think Klay has already lost interest playing with the Warriors. He is on and off, and they can't allow a player hat is inconsistent. With respect to Klay, he had big contribution during the Warriors championship runs but he pass his prime, either he stay with small salary or go and look somewhere else, that should be the scenario once he is in the free agency.

I saw some video clips of him watching his teammates getting points but he seemed unhappy with what he saw. I think right now he had a problem with himself,  his expectation to himself is still high but numbers don't lie, his production has really dropped significantly and it's been 2 seasons, it's still not improving. Maybe the Warriors will get better without Klay as he missed a lot, in short, he is not the same anymore, while Curry his splash brother still doing his thing, Thompson is just declining hard.

This one too.. he is not happy.

Quote
Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson acknowledged that it was "hard" for him to get benched down the stretch of the team's 109-98 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night.

"To go from one of the best players…It's hard for anybody," Thompson told reporters after the game. "I'll be honest with you."

Curry, time and time again. How does he do it? His range seems limitless. Almost a bad pass from the rookie turns into a turnaround and shoots perfectly into the basket, by Curry. Taking Warriors up by 1 with 0.7 secs remaining.
That was insane, Curry did it again, a game winning shot and it seems like the Warriors are back into a championship form. They aren't outrebounded already but of course they still rely with their 3 point shooting and Curry could not miss in a game winning shot tonight.

Wiggins fouled the Suns player during their inbound. It is a tricky situation now.
That's fine, I think that was the instruction too because they have foul to give. The last play was just easy to predict and Durant could not catch it clean with 0.6 sec remaining in the game. Lakers won by a point, if Curry miss that Suns could win and cover the spread.
Indeed it was crazy. Damn, Steph Curry at 35 years old is still doing it. The pass was really bad, when interviewed he said it was just his muscle that reacted quickly when Podiemzki threw the ball. That was quick thinking from the veteran and that shot he made looks really good. Another addition to his long highlight reels.
Is it the muscle memory? Is it the right term? Curry is the best shooter and he's been practicing those kind of shots, so it's not surprising at all, and although we know he is capable but it's just amazing to see it against a team that is a champion caliber. And... I like Draymond look on Durant, I think he also said something, he really hate his old teammate.  Smiley

I actually disagree with the referee at that last foul. It cannot be just 0.1 seconds that will be cut in the time, obviously, they did it so that the Suns would have a chance for another shot.
But, it's either Wiggins fouled before the ball was passed or it should be after which takes out at the very least 0.3 seconds. I was surprised that just took 0.1 seconds which I think is a mistake. That fast? Cheesy
Anyway, Klay Thompson not showing up again, 5 points only. Just when they needed them badly against a strong Phoenix team. I am just glad that the Warriors have their defensive players again. Gary Payton II is really a big impact for their team when it comes to the defensive end. Very wise man and his hands are always active. 1 block, 1 steal, and 5/5 in field goals? That was good.

The back and forth was a treat. Kevin Durant's block was outdone by a Steph Curry's winning three. I thought the warriors caught a lucky break there as it was almost a steal from a bad inbound pass. On the final inbound, did you notice how Draymond was pounding his chest and screaming at someone? I think that was intended for KD.

That was a great ending and an impressive win for the Golden State Warriors who have been playing really well since Draymond’s return. Stephen Curry showed he still has it tonight with that last second shot to seal the win. Might be some fight left in those old dogs.

Yes, it was a lucky pass by Brandin Podziemski, but you know what, it seems that Kerr is confident with this young man, he was even in the game and Klay Thompson just sitting because he had a bad night. And so when Beal trying to overpower Curry, it gave Steph that just inch to throw that 3. And we know that during this crunch time, this kind of players thrive and so Curry hit another big 3 in his career.

I don't know what Green though is shouting on Durant during the last play where Draymond played good defense and not allow him a good looks. It seems though that he is telling the Curry is better than Durant, or something to that effect. And so GSW breaks into the .500 record and they are still in the fight for the last playoff spot or at least in the play-in.

Gets the ball, puts up the three-pointer. BANG!!!!!!!!!
I always love when Mike Breen is the one commentating a Warriors game because of this "BANG!!!!" at the end of the game. TBH, I watched the clip from Youtube 10 times because... I just love repeating it. Cheesy

TBH, it will be a different result if Beal didn't try to steal the ball. If only he stayed in his front and contested that shot, that would be better than just stealing it because there's a chance that Curry might've miss it. Instead, he risked it, tried to steal the ball and gave the greatest shooter of all time a lot of space to make a three-pointer. Anyway, a win is a win for the Warriors. Durant was also shown on camera smiling while watching his old teammate shooting a 3-pointer. Maybe he wants to be back on Golden State again. Cheesy

Aside from the Knicks who are clearly the winners during the trade season, the Mavericks are the 2nd ones.
I mean getting a legit center in Gafford, and a 6'7" player who can drive and shoot from three is a big one for them. Over time, their defense is slowly getting better and better. I just don't know if this current roster of the Mavericks is enough for them to be a playoff contender.
