There are many talents in the NBA and mostly Americans, so I guess those agents from different teams will give priority to their own talents than those foreign ones. If you are a foreigner and you will not exceed other talented american players then expect nothing less than being a junk in that league. Afterall it all comes down to business.

2019-20 might be his last season. As for me, I'd rather seen him retired in Toronto Raptors' jersey.

NBA players are improving in the last 10 years so more likely Jeremy didn't have the tools right now to stay on the high level of playing.

More new and younger players are improving but Jeremy is unfortunately the opposite of improvement, it's pretty evident on his stats.

That was Lin's plan if ever no NBA team will consider picking him this season. Although he's not comfortable with it, he will consider it. Jeremy Lin, although a pure American born citizen, will never escape the shadow of being an Asian. I don't have any evidence to support my claims aside from his poor performance why no teams now in the NBA wants to sign him but he is an ASIAN and it means....

Kobe is different. He had been a Lakers for almost his entire career and that is achilles injury which happens mostly for those who worked hard in their career.
Let us make Durant as an example which also have an achilles injury by now.
Yes he is one of the great players out there. But there is no loyalty unlike Kobe.
So taking him have a higher risk than what happened with Kobe. For the Lakers if Kobe doesnt come back then it will be like a thank you gift for a lot of championships.
But Durant? Will you really risk 35 million USD for someone who could not play and maybe not play anymore in his entire career.

It's already been a trend for years now, players who didn't land a team will go somewhere else, and then they know that ex-NBA bring fans to watch them so definitely, a win-win situation for Lance here, not much money but at least they can continue on their career and still be well loved by basketball fans.

An athlete would always be an athlete and his passion for the league will never be gone. But the league itself isn't giving him more opportunity so its time for him to look for that opportunity somewhere.
And on his case, since he's a Chinese, the CBA would be glad to adopt him and for sure that he's going to be taken care of the association. Another thing is if he has family living there, he's in his home town.

The Linsanity fever has long been dead. It is very obvious. In fact, even Jeremy Lin himself has taken noticed of how he is not given enough amount of playing time anymore. I think he interpreted it a mile more and thinks the team does not trust his game anymore. Aside from a little of jealousy that you can hear from other players particularly from someone saying there is nothing special with the man only that he is Asian, which is a terrible statement of course given his performance and stats before, his injuries made the situation even worse.

His injuries are not so serious unlike the injury of Kobe and maybe some other players who really affected their usual play.
The only thing that Lin is needed is playing time, of course he can still play with more playing time but if the coach would not give you that, you can't do anything about it since they believe there are more players that are deserving.
