Hopefully russ and towns will click. Considering that they're in a very stacked western conference, they may have no choice or we'll see another big time player move out at the end of the season. Westbrook i think is more of a stat-padding type of player. You need to have efficient role players to make his style work, like the kind james harden has with the rockets. I hopenhe doesn't end up like another melo.
I dont know that T'Wolves is trying to make a trade for Russ but it might just work.
Here is the problem though.
When you are trying to get Westbrook, you are not aiming for a championship. He is just not "that guy".
I have told it here for so many times. He can make different record breaking acts but yet why the hell is his team stops at the first round or the 2nd round of the playoffs?
For a player who averages triple double every game?
4 years contract $171 million. As a team manager or a governor, will I really waste that much for this guy who doesnt really pursue for a ring but instead more focused on his outfit every game?
I dont think so.
But I guess Pistons might really be his good landing space. Why? He will not be the superstar there. He will be more like a wingman.
One more thing.
Go to the East and he might have a slight chance. The West is just filled with so much power teams now.
It cant be Houston. CP3, Harden and Westbrook? A big NO!
Miami Heat with Jimmy Butler? A big NO!! Why? Jimmy went to Miami to get the lights on him only. To be a star of a team.
Pistons will be his best shot and they are interested.
