There's a big chance that they should have won the game 1 only if JR Smith just take the shot.
So true! they are tied and he's close to the ring even if he missed there's a potential call for that shot.
That's a lot of space he created before the 3pt line from the defender.
Yup, he wasted a lot of time. Have you watched when Lebron is quite shocked and teaching him to take a shot already cos' they are running out of time.
That is a mental lapse for JR Smith and for sure the ghost of it will haunt him in the succeeding game. Anyway, scenarios like that always happen in basketball no matter if you are a pro or not. That's only chance that is given to them by the Warriors to win at least a game because in the next game Andrei Iguadala will be ready to suit up for the Warriors.

Yeah, this is one of the most unacceptable mental lapses that have seen so for in an NBA finals. And Lebron was really frustrated on  JR and its very obvious during the interview I haven't seen him pissed like that before. They had a lot of opportunity and steal the game from GSW homecourt but it wasn't mean to be.

Well, that's part of the game, It's really frustrating to see that choke play made by JR but nonetheless LBJ even though he is tired and frustrated he still has JR's back. There were a lot of lapses to both teams but it's clear that the GSW took most of the advantage out of it. In addition, Tristan Thompson's suspension for a game would literally hurt the Cavs. Let's see how will Lebron and the Cavs play in Game 2, I'm sure that Golden State will play differently and much more aggressive than game 1.

Lebron is really tired and is really frustrated, he got 51 points and I think he really did great. I do not know what happened in the last seconds though, when JR smith get the ball at the last seconds. Lebron is giving the ref the sign for time out but the ref did not call it. This game shows the coordination of GSW and how Lebron will carry the team but I think Lebron will hit his limit in some time, he is just the best player I've ever watched.
He deserve a rest and forget what happen in game 1 so he can focus on game 2.
The way they play, there is a sign that they can win this series, if JR will still play, I hope he will improve and be attentive all the time so can still play
in the next season.

JR Smith: "I was trying to get enough to bring it out to get a shot off. I knew we were tied, I thought we were going to call timeout. If I thought we were ahead, I'd have held onto the ball and let them foul me."
Mistakes are hard to admit so in able to hide it you have to think of some reasons to cover it.

It is his error and assumes that the statement is real but in a game where you are tied and you have the ball, why not just give a lay up shot on it.

Better luck next time, even LJ made 51 points for this game it isn't enough.  Undecided
Yeah it is his mistake and he will never admit it on public. Let him be. He got the ball already and instead of shooting it because the basket is only few feet away from him, he run away and go half court and dribbling like crazy Grin. Foolish move and now telling reasons for covering his mistakes.

Even Lebron made his career playoff high in finals, it wasn't enough with the Big 3 of Warriors. They scored more than 20 points each and add also Green who has significant numbers in Game 1. Game 2 will be warriors again Smiley

I'm a GSW fan but kudos to Lebron James, this guy is really great but no matter how great he is, if his teammate won't contribute that much like on the other side, that's a no. Hope about the eye isn't that serious coz he continue to play in game 1.

I'm expecting a more physical play in the next following games.

"I was trying to get enough to bring it out to get a shot off. I knew we were tied, I thought we were going to call timeout"
- J.R Smith have 2 options, calling a timeout the moment he got the ball (not by running too much up to the halfcourt lol) or going for a game-winning shot. If Im not mistaken he even didn't wave a signal for time out.

Come on JR admit your mistake rather than giving an explanation. It's really a frustration for LeBron James that after giving a 51 points production, still your team lost and not just a simple lost. Looks like LeBron needs to score 80 points for Cavaliers to win lol.

Overall the game was intense. I even didn't think that Cavaliers would make this game close.

Still thanks for the +12 handicap for the Cavaliers and a good profit:). Easy x3 (3 persons).  With the performance of Cavaliers I think no one now will able to bet on me with handicap for Game 2.

Wow his really an idiot for not admitting it.
He shouldve just said "Yeah put it on Shaqtin a fool". Grin

All issues now are with the referrees. I disagree with this. All of us can see the slowmo of every plays while they cannot.
Their eyes dont have that power. Every call is as just what they see. It is live. If it is not below 2 minutes then they cannot review do they cannot take it back.

About the "should be" charging foul of Durant, they reviewed it because 2 refs call it differently that is why they took the call back after review seeing Lebron at a illegal defensive position.

But if both called an offensive foul then they will just review it if Lebron is out of the restricted area.
That is the problem about analyst that are arguing about that.
See how hard it is to be a ref. Why not be one?

I agree. Being a ref takes a lot of responsibility of focusing on what they are doing on the court and even if we reason it as "it is their job", they are still human who make mistakes. A lot of people are calling these refs siding to GSW but I think there are some angles that refs can't call because they can't see the area that we see on Camera. Well, about Lebron's foul which is Durant's offensive if not reviewed is a good call since we can see Lebron moving but it must not be moving to call Durant a offensive foul.

JR Smith is not really doing well in the playoffs, even the series against the Celtics. |
It was Lebron all alone with some support from TT and Love, this is their last series, they need to support Bron if they want to have a good fight against the warriors.

Half time break.
Cleveland is doing a good job at first half even with the homecourt advantage of GSW which is really loud.

Lebron must be really in good shape now getting a lot of good shots. He is almost perfect on the floor before 2nd quarter.
But again their lead was tied by the furious 3 pointers of GSW.
Steph Curry ending the 1st half with a BANG! to get the tie game.

What a sad ending. I feel like the Cavs and Lebron was being robbed tonight. That overturned call late in the game cost them the so much and a couple of uncalled fouls against the Cavs during the first 3 quarters. Plus Jr. Smith's stupid move.
I taught that the Cavs will steal Game 1 too in Oracle arena. Its just the last 2 plays didn't work for them. First is the illegal guarding of Lebron against KD that put him on the free throw line. Second is the STUPID MOVE of JR smith handling over the ball with the game tied. He didn't see Lebron who is asking to give the ball into him and its too late for Smith to realize that it is a tie ball game.

Many are saying that there are many uncalled fouls but lets respect the referees maybe. What is important is Warriors win because I am a warrior fan  Cheesy Cheesy

Tons of fouls not called for cavs. They got fleeced. That call on Durant was a charge should have never been reversed. NBA is rigged. JR didn't help the cause anyways but that block foul was ridiculous.
Don't worry guys, and because of this I now believe that this series will go longer as for sure the cavaliers will be favored at home.
There's so much stake for game 1 due to a huge moneyline, I think the sportsbook will be losing huge money if the cavaliers can pull at upset.

I am laughing at his shots, not only in this game but also on the last games. JR Smith is having a bad time making buckets and I don't know why he is still on the court, he's still even being passed by Lebron and making him shot but he is missing a lot. I do not know happened to him, he's like McGee on the side of GSW, good at his defenses but in terms of offense, they suck.

I think Jr Smith thought Cavs is leading thats why he ran away from the basket. Lebrons game again is phenomenal with 51 points 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Just by looking at the Cavs stats for the day, you will see that Cavs is heavily relying on Lebron. There's 2 other players who made 2 digits Kevin Love and Jr Smith, the rest is single digit. Good thing I didn't push through with my plan to put my money on Cavs.

Odds in Nitrogensports for GSW is -1220 while for Cabs its +679. I have this feeling again to place my bet on Cavs this time. But last years finals might happen again when GSW started the Finals strong till the last game.
Last year is last year and this year is this years finals, although comparison are inevitable. Give it a shot for Cavs, I guess Lebron rested well and prepared for the first game.
It’s definitely worth a shot to go at it and win the game by Cavs. It doesn’t mean that they have a lot of star players doesn’t mean they can’t handle it. It’s a team play and good teamwork to overcome obstacles is the key. We will see. It’s always them on the finals.
The Cavs lost but we've seen the game went through an OT.

Golden State will win it again 4 - 1 or 4 - 2. Wink
Hehe good start, GSW won.

Plus Jr. Smith's stupid move.
Everyone's blame is on him right now. Too bad, I don't know if he's high or he's just nervous and pressured.
