It was Melo who mess with this team, they are a championship contender in the past but now they are struggling.
Lebron James is willing to let Melo play alongside him though he did not ask the front office to do it, does this mean that the Lakers is doom to be messed if Melo will be listed on their roster? I personally think so, Melo will always be Melo. A player that can't guard even a chair and it would be better for him to just retire or play ball overseas where he can hug that ball as long as he wants. Just my thoughts on him.
Lebron is willing to get Melo because he is his friend but the Lakers management has no interest in getting him. One more, Melo is playing in a PF spot and also Lebron is playing on a PF spot. Melo is known for his over-ego and he don't know how to adjust.

I think no one will get Melo in NBA now but if there is, it will be from a lower standing team like Cavs maybe or Suns.

Not PF dude, they are not suitable in PF position but in SF. The only difference is LeBron plays all the roles that is needed by the team, be it PG to center position. But then I agree with you that the Lakers management is not willing to sign a deal with melo due to a bad omen which melo brings whichever team he goes.
Ohhhh sorry my bad. I'm not that good in positions of different players. Anyway, Melo will not go to the Lakers since they are not interested in him. Maybe somebody will get him but now in a lower value.

On other teams, the Hawks defeated the Nuggets which is embarassing because the Hawks are struggling and the Lakers defeated the Grizzlies with a huge lead. Also the Celtics won on the road against the struggling Bulls by a a huge 56 point lead. Largest deficit of the Bulls history.

Bucks just traded Henson and Delly for George hill. I do not really think this really helps Cavs at all, what are they getting with Delly and Henson ?

I doubt it is a move for tank neither unless they got some good picks for it. That is what Sixers did, combining an 11th and 16th pick to get the 8th pick type of stuff always works out so I hope Cavs got something like that. Aside from that Bucks getting George Hill is not something for a short term gain, they are not after making a run this year obviously but they have Giannis and they need to build a team around that guy and hill will be up for free agency this year so Bucks will have a lot of cap space. They are probably hoping to sign someone major in this upcoming free agency.

Think about it bucks have one of the best young weapons in the league and east is not as strong as west and 2019 free agency will have a lot of big names, even if they get 1 big major player they will be a major east finalist contenders and if they get 2 or 3 that means they are at the finals %100 if they don't get injured.

Gobert just light a fuse under Utah if you ask me. I mean they didn't win because Gobert was out, they totally could win with him as well but there is this old trick Pop always does (which doesn't really work that well anymore) where he yells at the ref like crazy and gets sent off and that makes the players play a lot better so they wouldn't disappoint Pop when they go back to the locker room.

Back in the day that was a great tactic whenever Pop realized they might lose and did it on third quarters. Gobert just had an unfortunate game where refs really aimed him a lot and he was rightfully furious about it so Utah just picked the ball up and played their hardest for their teammate and managed to win the game for him, about the same logic. Sometimes regular season becomes really boring and players start to play like its a 9-5 regular job Tuesday work but when these things happen it lights a fire under those players and they play a lot differently.

Could be. But you can see in his eyes that he is really furious about the ref call.
He just couldnt sit there and wait for another 7 minutes before the 2nd quarter comes and he could be back to the floor.
It might be a tactic or we couls also say that he is just mad and the 2nd unit was given a chance to showcase their skills.
GSW have the same fire when their stars are out but they still loss to the game.
Their 2nd unit though made a pretty job to stay on the game and not giving the opponent a chance to win it in an easy way.

Chances. I say use the 2nd unit more and not just for garbage time. They are paid. Let them play. They also worked hard for it.

Cavs are doing great compared to suns lately so I guess the suns should take a chance to get Melo as they have nothing to loss base on their current record. There are stars that will no longer survive and I am sure Melo is gonna be added in the list, he cannot adjust then he needs to leave NBA as time passes things are also changing.

He hasn't proven anything, unlike the real stars like The King, Curry, and Durant who made back 2 back championships already.

What the hell just happened?!!!

Houston vs. Utah

Gobert was out in the first quarter in disappointment for 2 fouls in just 5 minutes.
And then the rest is freaking great.

Damn Utah ate Houston for 30+ point lead without Gobert. Is their chemistry better when their center is out?!!  Grin
Love how Favors played them and he got double double. Ricky Rubio is also on fire and same with Joe Ingles.

Exum also showed how great he played.
Quin Snyder might want to overhaul his player rotation by now.  Grin

Utah is not a bad team to start with, but 30 point lead is not what we see everyday. So I guess, the rockets lossing that large of a gap might be in a bad shooting night and the jazz just sinking their shot in an easy passion.

We don't know about that. They might be having a bad day or having a problem behind their team these season. All I know is that they are losing a lot lately and I don't know whether they will be the same team that is faced off against the reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors. They might not be able to make another appearance on the Eastern Final Conference if this continues.

Yes. We could say now that other teams are really getting stronger. Even those without names are being given one and proving they are worthy to be a NBA player.

How about the Philadelphia 76ers.
They also won against a strong Detroit even without Embiid playing in the floor.
Suddenly I have seen a better Ben Simmons in defense. I think he got 4 blocks against Drummond. He is going to be better the next few years. He just needs that perimeter shooting.

Timberwolves had the biggest win this season so far by defeating the Houston Rockets and overcoming the 19 point gap showed a great performance from the team overall. They have shown terrible offense and defense in the first half but luckily the Rockets started missing some buckets and they slowly took the lead in the 3rd quarter. Harden also got pissed (which probably messed up his game) that he ain't getting any trips to the free throw line every time he tried to pick up some fouls. RoCo was a great motivator to the game and I am seeing that he has replaced Jimmy as the leader of the pack.

Quick Notes
  • Chris Paul only made 5 pts (including 2 FTM)
  • Rose scored nothing (4 FGA)
  • All the Wolves' starter scored double digits (Yes including Wiggins)

I watched some high lights of the game and it looks like the Timberwolves has played perfectly against Houston. Yes they were down but suddenly they played good defence and shot 3's to closed the gap in the 3rd quarter and never look back. Although Houston attempted to come back and cut the lead to single digits if I'm not mistaken, Wolves able to hold that rally and then took Houston out for good.

Nah! It's just 1 win though and all I think is will they be able to get to the playoffs. I am not belittling the wolves but I guess it's too early to celebrate and what I have observed is that the rockets are not giving their A-game in these one.

And Rockets just lost again. I think it will be too late if they don't give their A-game. Lol. And it looks like they still feeling the Melo ghost inside their dug-out because they were blown away by Utah. So its going to be hard for Rockets to duplicate their performance last year.

The ejection of Gobert is a blessing in disguise for them. I didnt expect that the Rockets will play like this where there are all healthy. Favors had a double double and showed that he is a good center too. The loss of their 2 defenders is their loss. If they sticked to their roster last year and didnt made some trades then there is a chance that this will not happen to them.

They are a disappointment and many are feeling it. Rockets are not playing like they did last year.

Look at the Rockets, they get rid of Melo and now you can see them standing in Rank 2 and possibly will stay at number 1, that's because they have a good flow of offense now, we saw PG level up his game and Dennis Schroder as a back up of Westbrook.

That was a blowout loss for the Houston Rockets while at the same time really embarassing. And to add for that, Utah Jazz cager, Donovan Mitchell, showed an off-night performance on that game producing only 6 pts on 26 minutes but still Utah managed to pumped up the lead.

"They got off to a really good third quarter. We didn't make shots. They made shots. We had a couple mental errors on defense and they capitalized."
James Harden

"Starting off the third quarter, we were down eight. They went on a 9-0 run quick. We just got to be better."
Chris Paul

"They had 15 points off our turnovers in the third. That fueled them. They hit 3s that we gave up. We just didn't contain our guy. They just played a lot better than we played. Just driving and kicking, being more athletic, getting to the rim. They just beat us in every which way they could."

From being one of the worst teams of NBA to being in the playoffs is a big step, of course nobody did process like Sixers, they literally build a whole team thanks to waiting however Dallas has done it incredibly well as well, they were champions just 7-8 years ago and right now they are jumping back up again.

GM knew what he was doing by giving away next years pick as well because they are really fighting for a spot at the playoffs so their pick wouldn't worth as much as getting Doncic. I doubt they will matter or contend for championship for couple more years but if they keep this up in 5 or so years they will become one of the big names in playoffs for years.

Jordan is temporary he is not that young anymore but DSJ and Doncic can really make a difference for another 10+ years.

Doncic has been playing like a true superstar from the beginning of his career. Dude literally plays like the best player in Dallas and he is just 19 years old on his rookie season. He never shakes when its an important point and doesn't shy away from big plays neither. I really believe this guy can become one of the best European players we had in our game and that says something huge considering we had so many amazing European people (even his team mate is all time great Dirk).

I think if he improves upon this play and puts more on top of it, he has a chance to be top 3 player in the league in 5 years or so time and stay around those levels for 10 years straight. Lets hope he doesn't get injured badly or start to not care about his training or something because it would be shame for that talent to go to waste.

Love watching that guy.
Ever since I saw him do some nasty moves on the game I got pulled into watching more of him.
Yeah, this is the start of him becoming a true star. He got to a team that makes him bloom more.
Let us face it there is not much going on at Dallas anymore after their championship game. Nowitzki is also getting weaker. Doncic is their new star.

Mark Cuban should keep this guy just like what he did for Nowitzki. Plus, he looks like Captain America.  Grin
I am also a fan of this guy, although I cannot watch his game regularly but I always look at the replay and the box score.
IMO, Dallas is more improve this season compared to last year, and one big reason is this guy and of course, also give credit to Jordan.
If they can make the first round in the playoffs, that would already be big for them as an achievement.

I think lebron needs to take on a higher scoring load if his team is going to succeed.  Especially in the clutch , lebron likes to differ to teammates instead of taking the big shots himself.

Lebron could of easily broke kobe's 81 point record if he was a more selfish player.  I'm not saying kobe's playstyle is good but sometimes Lebron needs to be more assertive.

No need to changed style a bit. He's in the league for 15 years now. He has proven to literally changed a weak team into a better one no matter how bad he is on clutch or a flop queen like others say.

Let's put it this way; any suggestions given by others that he must do "this way" or "that way" will always lead into criticism.

He won = he got bashed
He loss = he got bashed
He achieved something = he got bashed

So no need to adjust as every action got criticized. He just have play on his usual style.

Doncic really got my attention (well since Im a Mavericks fan) because even prior to draft pick, his name is one of the popular names that is expecting to joined NBA this season. He is one of the best players in EuroLeague that's why he created a hype.

Good thing, he was not an "overrated" player and really meet the expectations to him unlike.... never mind... I see he will be the face of the Dallas franchise for the next 2 to 3 season if everything goes well.
