What a touching scene in Staples Center as they gave Dwayne Wade a tribute video.

At least somehow that video covered the embarassing moment of Lonzo Ball with a missed uncontested just below the rim. Well he did some highlights later on to also covered that embarassment (alley opps , dunks etc).

The game was closed especially at the last minutes where we can see some good highlights. LeBron hitting 3's , Kuzma's inside penetration, Wade's aggressiveness to the hoop, monster dunks by both teams etc.

That Kuzma will become a big name after some years, he really have the skills that can bring the game on fire, lebron trusting him a lot so we see good ball movements and the entire lakers are feeling the fun, this last game of Wade really shows how good players can be its all about the game but old teammates really cares good pals always being remembered.

Spurs are finally at .500 again but Derozan scored only 5 points, by comparison Byrn Forbes shot 5 three pointers and made all 5 three to help the team win today but this inconsistency at Spurs is killing them, one day Aldridge plays bad one day Derozan plays bad, sometimes their bad games collide and they lose badly. They need to find a way to bring their %100 every single game to actually matter in the league again.

Aside from that Lakers apparently is getting Ariza for sure, sources from Woj already said that earlier, lets hope Suns doesn't give up too much and get nothing in return, they are paying Ariza well but he deserves it, without him they might as well get some future picks, Suns is not going anywhere anytime soon but Lakers could contend as early as this year (probably next) so picks for Ariza would work for both teams.

I don't think that Ariza can bring any more to the Lakers. They already have Stephenson to guard the opposing team's forward and they pretty much blend in, the chemistry is already great so no need to disrupt it again. If Warriors is the team they'd worried then they have to think of someone who can guard Curry, but that's impossible.

It is possible but you cannot look at what is happening when GSW is on offense. You will have to keep your eyes to him. Screens are the killers. The team mate who will switch will have to let it go and just go back to getting back the scored point by Curry.

A fight against the screener might work but it will be exhausting.

Watched that game and at the last second of the game Dwayne just go running to Lebron that is like he is fouling him but it was just a joke then they laughed.
So good to see ex team mates having such a good time playing the game.
Wade made some good plays on that game that made him look younger again.

I was trying to check the internet for that video because I haven't watched their game. I just saw this one, the full highlights of the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8toouUPkrBA

Maybe it's going to be included in Shaqtin a fool? Lol. I think that's just human nature, once a wrong has been made, it sticks to your head and always remembers that. It shouldn't be seen like that. I have read some articles regarding Lonzo that he is not fit in the current Lakers.

Thanks for that link. I've been busy with my job here since the semester is ending and I didn't even know Dwayne Wade is having his last game against Lebron James. People said that they are great teammates Lebron and Wade, I agree but the era of the time that I knew a lot of basketball players is ending. The players I usually watched in the past that is still playing are now countable, time is quickly passing and I hope I can still see Dwayne playing even if it is not in the NBA.

Lakers winning again and I think the one that is improving is Kuzma, this young and very good shooter is going to be Lebron's best buddy.
Nice to see them winning consistently and still in the playoff spot, I hope the upcoming trade will help them improve as a team.

Also, the warriors are winning again.. They are completely healthy now.

At the very beginning that Kuzma went it he already shine with his superstar genius moves. Just underrated. Well it is NBA, they will pick only those whom they want ti be stars. Even Melo is still protected by that. Grin

Ariza had been in Lakers with Kobe and Walton does know him too. I thinkvit would be an easy chemistry for them adding this guy.
Defense and offense he can both give it to them. I remember when Booker was out with an injury, there is no one to rely in scoring for the Suns and then suddenly Ariza took that position and he can really score. It will be a good addition.
It's proven that he is a role player, what he did with the Lakers and the Rockets when he was still playing is something worth remembering.
He may not be for the future but while he still can, he can help the Lakers to compete with big teams in the NBA, especially the warriors whose Lebron's nightmare.

The problem is it's only only curry who is helping the warriors to win, if you stop curry completely, durant and Thompson will help him score.
It's a tough job really to win against the warriors, especially in a series, what I expect only is that the Lakers will give a good fight even if they will lose.

Really a tough job for defenders to stop the warriors. More often when people defend curry, they will make Durant and Thompson open. This is what makes the warriors difficult to defend.

Christmas is coming around which means we have already seen what we need to see from teams and how they are so far, the first couple games even up to 10 games could be flukes but after this point of the season I do not think anything will change unless there is an important trade. For example Chandler was a big major sign for Lakers that changed so much for them, without a backup Center they sucked so bad but they are much better now, unless something like that happens we saw what we need to see from teams.

From what I gather it will be another horribly boring season for the west conference and finals since Warriors are still clearly best team by a LARGE margin, I was hoping they will have some championship tiredness and will start to not care but the sheer talent of them keeps them away from everyone else. Maaaaybe eastern conference will have some fun match-ups but even that is doubtful so far.

I don't know how long Arizas contract with spurs...

Suns.

Is ariza better than all of their small forwards ?

Ariza isn't a scoring machine or main man. His specialty is being a pure role player. That his advantages to the other small forwards of LAL.  But since Ariza is over a halfway mark of his career now, it's not wise to deal with him on long term although I don't think it's really a long term. But no doubt, if that will happened, he can somehow boost the LAL firepower.

Don't think too much. It's impossible that LAL will just give up their improving young core players without thinking carefully. That's their future.

Anyways Ingram is not part of the rumored 3 team deal as far as the latest rumor details is concerned.

They should focus on improving Ingram with Lebron instead of getting another SF.

Ingram always have a good playing time. If you are looking for improvements, Ingram itself should work on it.

However if they want to do it, they will be capable of doing it since Lebrons close pal JJ is at Suns GM position and he will do whatever Lebron asks of him since he owes all his rings to him.

That was an issue and purely speculation. Cheesy No one knows here what's currently up on the table.

How about the Philadelphia 76ers.
They also won against a strong Detroit even without Embiid playing in the floor.
Suddenly I have seen a better Ben Simmons in defense. I think he got 4 blocks against Drummond. He is going to be better the next few years. He just needs that perimeter shooting.
Yeah, the Sixers won the game with Butler leading the charge but i have read an article wherein Embiid is complaining on his role on the team now with the arrival of Butler. Seems he is disappointed that he is not the go to guy for this Sixers team and this is not looking good. This is the scenario that i feel that will come to Sixers. Embiid with a diva attitude plus Bulter with a diva attitude. They maybe winning now but comes playoff time, relationship between players will be a plus factor to advance to the finals.
And they will be playing again tomorrow and Embid is going to play, that is why the Sixers are the heavy favorites in this game.
Well, for me, I know Sixers are a good team and Pistons are on the back to back game, the +7 is something that I like to take, I will also bet on the moneyline.

Revenge for the Pistons....

Embiid and drummond is always a good matchup though i guess we'll how well the chemistry would be between butler embiid now that the latter has voiced out his frustration. If these two could get along they have a very potent lineup along with the soon to be 2 time rookie of the year ben simmons 🤣🤣🤣

Apparently Lakers are interested in getting Ariza in a three team trade deal. I do not think that is a future transfer goal for them at least not for a long term plan. I don't know how long Arizas contract with spurs is but seriously when they have so many young players and already have a lot of small forwards it would be idiotic to go with that trade. Is ariza better than all of their small forwards ?

Easily but on a team even Lebron shifted to power forward most of the time so Ingram and Lance could have playing times it would make no sense to get another one. They should focus on improving Ingram with Lebron instead of getting another SF. However if they want to do it, they will be capable of doing it since Lebrons close pal JJ is at Suns GM position and he will do whatever Lebron asks of him since he owes all his rings to him.

Everyone compalining when there is a new player that is better than them. I think it is natural specially for starters like him.
The good thing is they have different position so he will just need to do his job as a center and do more efforts in defending the rim.
Butler is more of an offensive guy and if that is what Embiid is complaining about then he is not a real team player.

Bucks and Raptors. What a hell of a fight. Lowry not doing well with his shooting but they still have massive offense when he does great passes.
Bucks though. They are getting stronger and the addition of Hill might make be the key to their missing link. Let us see more of what will happen with this new addition.

It was Melo who mess with this team, they are a championship contender in the past but now they are struggling.
Lebron James is willing to let Melo play alongside him though he did not ask the front office to do it, does this mean that the Lakers is doom to be messed if Melo will be listed on their roster? I personally think so, Melo will always be Melo. A player that can't guard even a chair and it would be better for him to just retire or play ball overseas where he can hug that ball as long as he wants. Just my thoughts on him.
Lebron is willing to get Melo because he is his friend but the Lakers management has no interest in getting him. One more, Melo is playing in a PF spot and also Lebron is playing on a PF spot. Melo is known for his over-ego and he don't know how to adjust.

I think no one will get Melo in NBA now but if there is, it will be from a lower standing team like Cavs maybe or Suns.

Not PF dude, they are not suitable in PF position but in SF. The only difference is LeBron plays all the roles that is needed by the team, be it PG to center position. But then I agree with you that the Lakers management is not willing to sign a deal with melo due to a bad omen which melo brings whichever team he goes.
Ohhhh sorry my bad. I'm not that good in positions of different players. Anyway, Melo will not go to the Lakers since they are not interested in him. Maybe somebody will get him but now in a lower value.

On other teams, the Hawks defeated the Nuggets which is embarassing because the Hawks are struggling and the Lakers defeated the Grizzlies with a huge lead. Also the Celtics won on the road against the struggling Bulls by a a huge 56 point lead. Largest deficit of the Bulls history.

Melo's not doing so bad when he started at denver though. He's probably stereotyped as an underachiever because his batchmates have had good runs with a lot of them with rings already. He's an nba caliber scorer and he's proven that a lot of times and probably needs to have a system that can fully utilize what he can do.
But this time is difficult if he wants for the coaches to adopt with his system of play.

It's not gonna work in the long run because team play is more important now, unlike the past that popular players are inside players.
With the warriors, they changes the complexion of the game, even big man are now shooting threes, look at Blake Griffin, he adopt with the changes that is why he is successful and he is shooting threes now.
