Wizards are one of the big disappointments of this early season. Last night, OKC on national television beat them pretty badly to go 1-7.

They have the worst opp ppg @ almost 124 pts, at times last night I felt like they did not want to be on the court, there was no effort at all to play defense, to play together. Not sure whether it's Scott Brooks or they have other locker room problems, but they're nothing less than a pure embarrassment at this moment. sigh...
Maybe they need to do what the Cavaliers has done, changing the coach or changing the players but I don't think its the coach's problem because last season, they are a good team. I think the problem is with the players, the acquiring of Howard and trading of Porter maybe.

I'm not a Wizard fan but I know they are good but I agree that this is a big disappointment for them.

Again, the San Antonio Spurs showcased some good plays against the Pelicans.
The ball rotation didnt stopped. They keep on having new kind of plays.
Out of all those good plays there is one that I could not stop thinking. A play that mostly Ginobili does.
They did it using Marco Belinelli and he did it perfectly. As he goes to the basket for a lay up he almost looked like Ginobili. A quick cut to the middle with a quick lay up and he got the plus 1.

I also thought they can win at home because they have been losing badly on the road.
This is something they have to review and do necessary adjustment because their offense and defense are not working pretty well now.

Wizards are and have been quite an unpredictable team in the last few seasons, I always thought they needed something else to get them to the next level, i.e. ECF, perhaps a better bench or a good 3rd player like Beal and Wall... However, I don't think anyone expected them to be bad this season.

I'll give you a reason why they suck, it's called - Dwight Howard. Remember what happened in Orlando? Well, he got Stan fired. Then he went to the Lakers, they were pretty terrible, I don't remember well but I think Mike Brown was fired too. Moving on to Huston, Kevin McHale fired. Then he went to a pretty good Hawks team - just above .500 team, coach Budenholzer was gone after 1 more year. Hornets - Steve Clifford fired. Everywhere he goes something bad happens.

Wiz needs to cut/trade Dwight and get back to normal.  Grin
I can tell you are a real NBA fanatic, you know the story man because you follow them.
Howard is not playing yet I guess, but I don't think he can make a difference on this team on a positive way, he is not as aggressive
as before when he was still playing with the Magic, this guy has become a liability.

I think Dwight is one of the victims on how the whole NBA game has change for the last 5 years. The game has evolved so much that true NBA Centers are not the focus of the game anymore. Its more of a run and gun type of game, with 3's is the most weapons that NBA teams are going now.

Plus he might has some attitude problem as well. Remember he and Kobe doesn't go along with the Lakers so he was traded. And the same thing happen in Houston with James Harden. If he doesn't evolved then he might be another name in NBA and may be forgotten.

It is really getting to the point where we will see the real standings. I mean so far there has been the early days of NBA and we haven't seen the teams playing with all their systems intact and fully built but right now all the good teams who started bad started to win lately and all the bad teams who won started to lose again.

Magic Johnson apparently berated Luke Walton, the first thought was it was because of the bad start and everyone said the team has Lebron but all others are not enough to make the team win many games however apparently the point was that Magic Johnson wants Luke Walton to build that warriors system (Luke Walton was assistant coach for Steve Kerr) into Lakers and have a "system" they play in, right now everything just happens and there is no system but if Lakers build a system and improve with new FA next season they can be really good.

My first thought when they created that line up. It may be next year that this team will do good. But there is also a problem. Other players contracts will be done and they will add more which might wreck their chemistry again.
The veterans specially might be traded again. I dont think the Lakers management will be absorbing them again even if they do good this season.
They better win that crown if they want to really let the team be intact the next season.

If it just for experience for the young ones then it is working too.

This is what a healthy D.Rose can do. He is getting back just like the old time. He's now the topic in NBA and often saw about it in different pages. Hope, he stay healthy and really wanted to see more of explosive D.Rose. He's now starting to get back the shine, form, etc. he has before.

It is really great. I mean, it is been some seasons before Rose get back to his usual self in his starting seasons. I am really hyped up to see Rose in this state while, well, Lakers, the King is not that much now.

It is really great to see Rose getting back. I am happy, hyped up and also, worried. In his starting seasons, he is also explosive as he is in this game and we all know what happened, a lot of injuries, a lot of failed experiments but we see him doing his best. I think that is the reason why he is so emotional at this game. The years you are trying your best and it just gave you the result.

His reaction is priceless!

I admire him for having a great play. We want more of D.Rose and I guess after his last game, he's now the most beloved player. Most of the sentiments on social media are very favorable to him and he's even compared to KD's getting the ring. I hope he's going to play consistently, we want more of this type of D Rose.

Rockets have been doing terribly this year.

I do not believe just because they lost Trevor Ariza they have lost all their power and suddenly a bad team. I think there must be something more to the story than just losing Ariza. They still have Chris Paul and James Harden which was the big cannons last year too and they managed to make it to western conference finals against Warriors and almost won.

Ariza wasn't the best player on that team, he probably wasn't in the top 3 in that team. He only had a defensive help which is always loved but that can't be it. Even Eric Gordon started to shoot a lot worse this year. I think there must be some team chemistry issues that needs to be addressed or there must be some new thing Pringles is trying, I don't know what the deal is but I hope they get back on that horse.

Its just Anthony bringing his jinx on Houston.  Grin. I guess a player leaving really left some vacuum on a team. I mean Ariza may not be helpful inside the court, but perhaps everyone loves him off-court that's why there's some missing pieces right now in the dug-out. Anyways, there's more room for improvement even to a team like Houston. Harden still needs to prove that his MVP is not a fluke so I'm sure that he will rise up to the occasion and carry Houston again.

DRose is back, scoring 50 points tonight and help his team to win against a good team is really fun to watch.
I'm just holding tears back watching him play, this Halloween, the 2011 DRose is back, shame on the Utah Jazz for waiving him, I hope the games gives him a good momentum on the games to come.

Yeah, its one game that we see the old DRose playing as if he is the reigning MVP. Well he is a good prior to the injury and maybe his regaining some form specially in his jump shots and he really turn back the clock with his vintage performance.

I do really hope that his play continue until the post season. I am a fan of him in his early games, in fact I own his first kicks released in 2012, the Adidas Adizero Rose. In that time they said it is the lightest kicks, I don't believe since there are a lot of great kicks that time. After that, a lot of injuries and it is really disappointing, not because he is not a great player but because he is a great player and his body is taking a toll on it.

Well for me the talent's always been there and there have been flashes of the old drose even back when he was in ny and cleveland. He probably needed a breakout game like this to make a comeback and i really hope he gets to sustain this kind of play. Happy for drose and his fans.

All I can say is AWESOME. His emotion during interview really touches the heart of those people who are still expecting to him. I can't believed he able to pull up 50 big points which is no doubt no one expected it (even me honestly). Although it just a single game, Derrick Rose proven that he is still have it. Take note also that he has a wonderful performance in their recent games "coming off a bench".

That 50 points not just came from doing perimeters and outside shot that's why it's special for most fans and even for those not a fan of him. We seen his signature move of diving into the paint challenging the defense lots of times. That move is injury proned but still he continue to do it.

Others NBA players also appreciated it, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant etc.

Yeah just watched now when I read it here.
That is real emotion.
He really loved the game. He want his old gameplay to come back and he did it.
I just hope this continues for he still got a lot of fans even though he had been thrown like trash after his injury.

That face of him which is real gave me a tear too. Kind of still thinking of DRose by now. I will follow this guy.

That game is a great boost to his confidence knowing that people don't expect a lot from him nowadays. As the saying says that you are only good as your last game then we could say that DRose is back. Just hope that he continue this and avoid those career changing injury. I am a DRose fan and wanted to see him wearing that championship ring.  Smiley

~snip~
He needed this break as everyone thinks that there is no tank left in his tenure as an mvp in the league. But what did you expect? Him being this good and creating his all time high? He even almost broke KAT's record of the most points scored in a game for the franchise which is 56 points. He did everything today and he even blocked the shot which will send them into overtime. I understand why he was so emotional as he proved himself today that he still got it, I'm so glad to see that his fans as well as his teammates are happy for the win. Plus they get to wear the most popular jersey design for the team as well. Wink

Shocked at how the Portland played Houston.
They played defense like it is the playoffs already.
Is it really that huge impact when Harden is there for the Houston. Coz now that he is injured it seems like they are lost.
That is a big lead from the Portland playing an offensive team. They could do better than that.
So a 1000 times dribbler Harden lost is a punishment to them. They must do more, it will be 2 weeks of healing.

Portland may have just taken the opportunity and that is why they play hard D.
