Once you play under the coaching of Pop you will have to abide with his style, there is no individual play in the Spurs
it's a team play and that's what made them successful and they have to stick with it.
Well, that’s what you call a perfect team. It’s not just rotating to one person but the whole team has a role for someone and that’s okay, knowing that you have other players that you can depend on. They are my favorite team towards the plays all in all.
The last season if they were able to have Leonard back and play healthy, they would have a chance to beat the warriors.
But it's very unfortunate, he was not able to play and he don't show interest anymore to play with the Spurs that is why he wants to be traded.
Let's see what Demar DeRozan could bring to the team.
They would have the strength and power to compete against the warriors. It’s just that they say he was injured, and “can’t” play. I didn’t expect it at that time but I guess it was really time to be traded.

He wont really have any choice but to go with the flow because this is how the team do play or how pops do handles but rest assured he can easily adopt yet his capable enough on what would be the adjustments.
I like on how Coach pops handle a team and using up an old style (defense-type) doesnt really fade up.Clashing it up with a strong offensive team will be quite entertaining.

Yes. That is correct.
Actually just telling it here already excites me.
I want some changes with that guy. Yes they did go to the 2nd round of the playoffs but it is hard for me to see that the Raptors coach is benching DeRozan when he is much needed.
Yes, let us say he is off game that night. But it ain't a good reason to bench him for a quarter until the end of the game when it is Cleveland which they are against.

You can't have Derozan and have a defensive style. That's what  I'm curious about this season and before too long we'll find out. I think Derozan will go all in on offense and sit on the bench for a significant period of time each game.

One question though.
Have seen any player like since Pops?

All of them have defense on their back. Name it. Parker? He is good with steals.
Ginobili? I think I dont need to tell how good his defense is.
Duncan? No explanation needed.
Kawhi? Hmm..

They are all in steroids when it is defense. I do think Pops specialize there or do prefer a better defense than an offense.
2 points will be easily achieved once you do a great defense on the other end.

Lol timberbulls is a great name Cheesy whoever came up with that is a genious. However truth be told most of those players are going to be bench warmers if not limited minute players. The only person who is going to get minutes is jimmy buckets, aside from him none of them will get decent minutes. Derrick rose is not what he used to be even after the injury and keeps getting injured each season and he will probably not going to play more than 70 games this year neither. Deng is already done and playing out last seasons of his career and no one would be shocked if he calls it a career after this year. Basically its just a ghost of what it once was.

I'll change the discussion somehow since most of you are talking about Lebron. How about DeRozan? do you think that this season is going to be his?
I think the veteran experience of Pops will help DeRozan in Spurs. He will be the captain of the team along with Aldridge and the young players.

I think DeRozan will be a good fit at Spurs. He just need to blend with his teammates. Maybe he can do what Leonard did in Spurs since Leonard came from Coach Pop and now DeRozan is under him too. He will play better there too for me compare to how he is playing in Raptors.

I agree, with one disclaimer. I don't really think that DeRozan and SaS will achieve the same or similar level of competitiveness on the West (at least this year), because except for the Demar they have much worse roster than 3-4 years ago.

He will definitely improved as a overall player. We are going to see him elevate his game under coach Pop. He might developed like Leonard is, when he is with Spurs. Of course there will be adjustment on his side, but it all good. Probably 20++ points or close to that. Wanted him to mature and not choke in close games just like he did last year against James and Cleveland.
Can't wait to see him play under Coach Pop. I think he would be like that also but also the Spurs team would really be team players. It's a great opportunity for him to have that position as well. Well, the pressure that players experience are different whether they are in the finals or the clutch games or something. It's going to be an exciting season.
It's exciting for both team, but I'd love to see more improvement on the Toronto Raptors because we know the Spurs are really a good team
and they do not need a superstar player in order to win. DeRozan is a good fit because he loves to drive and he plays very physical, that's the game of the Spurs.

I think if we are talking about coach pop and we are talking about a player of his playing good, we can be certain he will get most out of him. Maybe derozan will not be forced to play 40+ minutes to win a game like in toronto but he will still be a big part of the team.

Coach pop is a firm believer of "team is family" and he will not ask too much out of his players unless it is obvious, he will not push them to death to get a W, he got his W already with 5 rings, he will make sure everyone involved is happy and loving their situations. I think derozan will have a great efficient year while still not putting too much pressure into his body.

Well this time he may be able to get over lebron always besting him in the playoffs. Playing for a well established system like pop's would definitely make most superstar better and it a scorer like demar is better off playing with a good big man like aldridge.

He just needs to go with the flow. The system on how the Spurs plays their game. Mostly it is an old style of a game. Defense before offense which is mostly working before until now.
He will now learn on how to be a good defender just like how Kawhi did. He can also have the MDP of the year. He is agile and got the skills to see how the game flows so he can make steals and also stay in front of an offensive player.
Better forget about offense for now and focus on defense. He will really change there.

It is hard to predict but I bet he will be better off with Pops. Experience wise and also discipline, that man may change the way DeRozan plays and maybe give them a better game or better a championship game.

DeRozan is really a good player. He just needs to be sharpened when it comes to team playing which he doesnt have much.
Agree, playing with coach Pop will able to enhance his mentality, if he will able to adopt the system and blend well with his team mates, he can showcase
his talents he just needed to adjust and play according to the system and become matured and enjoy the trade.

The #Timberbulls need to buyout Noah's contract and complete the full circle.  Grin

Too bad it's gonna last no more than a year. No way in hell Jimmy stays to play with Wiggins and KAT.

ROFL.

That one is really hilarious.
It is like they just transferred the Bulls roster on another team.

Who else is missing except for Noah?
I do not know about the Bulls management. It is like they cannot take care of their good players. Just one bad injury and they start letting them go.

This makes me laugh seeing these bulls kids playing in other team. Seems like they don't learn a thing from the past. Taht they cannot win the championships with this line up.

I've watched some of his highlights and I was convinced that this year is going to be one of the best for him. I hope that he will show his best to the full potential with his current team.

I'm just excited and moved by the video highlight that I've watched.
We don't talk about DeRozan because not majority of us here believe that he is a real good player.
I am an NBA fan and I watch DeRozan play along with Lowry and they are a good combo actually but not as good as great players like Lebron, Irving, Durant, and Curry.
