Wade and LeBron, this two buddies will make the Cavs a lot more flexible and better overall.

But is it final already that D Wade is going to Cleveland?

Yeah that's done deal. He got promoted officially. I predict Golden State Warriors- Cleveland finals once again.

Once again, I think that is so boring.
I have a feeling the warriors will lose in the west finals, I'm rooting for the Spurs to beat them.
Same here, I believe we will see the same finals again, but this time I see the Cavs with a lot of depth in their bench, they didnt had that last year. Everytime Lebron had to come out the Warriors will make a run, and now, The cavs will have a pretty easy way to the finals again, just have to beat Kyrie and the Celtics. In the other side, the Warriors will struggle, the Thunder will give them a run, the Spurs and Rockets will do the same. Not going to be surprised if we dont see the Warrriors not making it to the finals.

They know each other very well, they played great in Miami and this good cooperation could give good result to Cleveland. However, Dwayne is 35 years old, he practically step with one leg into retirement and we will have to see how much power he has in his body. Anyway this is a short term solution for Cavs. Soon they will have to find younger super-star for pg position.

I really wanted Kyrie Irving to have stayed in the Cleveland Cavaliers but he was too intimidated with LeBron James and left but with the new team that the Cavaliers have assembled I think the NBA finals is going to be very more competitive than the previous year.

Kinda rooting too, but since they've got no significant additions, we'll be looking at how their core players improved throughout the off-season. I'd like to see more of Kawhi playing on another level.
Kawhi  keeps improving and he is very consistent and that is the reason why he is the favorite now in winning the MVP as per betting sites.
The spurs are underrated and but I like their attitude in the floor, they played at a high level and they respect each other, and even knowing that Kawhi is the main man in the team but he is so humble that's why he keeps improving.

I wish the injury will not happen again, he is needed to win his team, we could have seen a great NBA west finals last season.
Kawhi is also one of my favorite player mainly because of his attitude. If he does an amazing move, he doesn't bother to shout, show his bicep, or swag like what others did, no facial reaction. He's doing good every season pass by, his stats keeps on getting better.
any addition to spurs team which can add some help for kawhi? i personally love the spurs ever since but with how cavs make his line up to
meet what gsw have so far and how okc build his own super team maybe spurs needs to have another step up player not only the coach but
also the players behind.

And the Minnesota Timberwolves have showed how a terrific team they are showing the Los Angeles Lakers that they were not the team last season. Yes I know it is just a pre season game but winning at 108-99 shows that they are playing like a regular game in the season. Some points I have seen during the game.
  • All Timberwolves' players played under 30 minutes where Shabazz Muhammad played for 29 minutes
  • Were Muhammad scored 22 pts at 58%
  • The 2nd unit of the timberwolves in the game can match their starters
  • Seeing Gorgui Dieng and Taj Gibson play I don't know who will start during the regular season
  • Surprisingly Lonzo Ball showed some good all around game
  • Funny Note : Tyler Ennis' Jersey getting rip during the game
I agree with what you have said. I also loved how Tom Thibodeu played the Bench players to start to finish of the 4th quarter, even though Jordan Clarkson was still on the floor Thibs didn't show any interest on subbing anyone out. Shabazz Muhammad for 1.6 Million Dollars per year showed that his performance is bang for the back for the team. I just hope he will show his a game in the regular season and hopefully in the playoffs. Jeff Teague also showed us that he is an upgrade to Ricky Rubio which showed that making dimes won't be a problem without Ricky on the team.

The current NBA MVP Russel Westbrook has signed a new five year contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder in a deal totaling $205 million in all he is going to earn $235 million in the entirety of the contract, his contract extension has overshadowed his former teammate Kevin Durant's birthday which is today. I am sure this is no coincidence at all.

I think he deserves everything. This is the result of his last season's performance. He will carry this team once again but with the help of PG and Melo behind. Happy to see Westbrook got to this point of his career. He should thank Durant for that. If Durant didn't leave the team, then he can't performed the way he shows last year. And signing a big contract will surely inspired him to give another best this season. But he need to cap everything off with a nice ring around his finger. And it would be really good if it is against Durant and the Golden State Warriors. OKC-GSW for the West Finals.
They are a better team now with great addition and to see Westbrook playing again with his best will surely entertain us fans.
He get what he deserved for and with that big salary, I am sure he will be the most motivated man in the team, he can lead this team to step on the bigger stage and actually I have high hopes for the Thunder this season, I hope they can blend well and will compete with the Spurs or warriors.
Westbrook deserve this contract with that astonishing last season performance. Trade of Melo to Thunders is the greatest thing that could happened to him. I think that he and Westbrook will cooperate good. With PG they also have `big three`, only thing that they need now is good chemistry. I hope that they could play together on high, championship level. This could bring more excitement battle in West conference this season.

Finally within 2 days the NBA starts again!

Who will win NBA 2017/18?

Golden State  @1.55
Cleveland       @5.50
Boston            @9.00
Houston         @12.00
San Antonio   @13.00
Oklahoma      @21.00

I expect to see a final between Golden State vs Cleveland but much more balanced than last NBA

I don't want to see another finals with Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. I want to see some other teams like Oklahoma Thunders, they have what it takes and they have the guts to be in the semi's - finals. I think it's unfair that you'll not include other teams with your choices as you are undervaluing them though this list seems to be legit. Chances of seeing GSW and CV is there but I want to watch just another finals.

As much as we like to have a new team vying for the ring this year, Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers are the likely front runner to go against it once more. Teams have upgraded, acquiring new members so that they can keep up with the two teams. However, it seems that they are the team to beat in the West/East conference. I didn't say that other teams have no chance to get into the finals, but the two has up the ante and the other teams need to catch up with them. We are almost on the beginning of the season. Let's see how Westbrook game would adjust, can he make triple double every game? How about Wade? or Rose on Cavaliers? Will they have the second wind to perform better this year because they have Lebron?

They are contenders and candidates again for this year's season. But it looks like we have a beast that will stay on his nature and will definitely have the potential to bring his squad up to the finals. And that's why I'm counting them to beat most of the teams that can bring them to semi's and not only there but also in the finals, excited to watch the start of this season.

This season will be a crucial one for the Thunder. If they can find a good balance with the trio of Westbrook, George, and Anthony, they might finish in the second spot in the West and could persuade PG and Melo to stay a little longer. Meanwhile, San Antonio would still be good but they clearly have to trade away LaMarcus Aldridge and find somebody else who fits better with their system. Houston could be good enough to finish 3rd, while Minnesota would finally find itself playing in the post season after a long long time.

I think the LaMarcus Aldridge issue with San Antonio really came in with his performance against GSW. He was supposed to be the no. 2 man but he didn't responded. With Leonard injured everyone in the team was expecting something big from him, unfortunately he did not. So San Antonio needs to find a way to trade him because I do think that he is frustrated over there and it looks like he doesn't fit well in the Popovich style of play. Anyway, the season will be starting soon so let see if San Antonio will get rid of him in time.

I also just read this in the news. Does he have the biggest contract in nba history now? He beat the $201M contract that Curry received last July.

Nice that's a big contract, I have read the news about it when I saw your post about it. Oklahoma City Thunders doesn't want to release this beast as he is the one that will bring the team to the finals. They are one of the underrated teams as of the moment because of several change rosters to those defending champions. I hope that they will make it and will nail the championship on this season.

They have a better roster now with melo and pg13 on the team but still needs a deeper bench.

Yes they are even stronger today so I still don't know why there are so many people here are underrating the OKC as they have the potential and will be able to make it to the top. But this isn't going to be an easy road for them, the chemistry should be seen for each players, teamplays, hard work and other stuffs that will affect their confidence while they are inside the court.
