Well, the Lakers players are making it hard on themselves by performing so poorly lately. Fortunately, they still have enough time to find the reason for their defeats and improve their spot in the standings. By the way, the Lakers have been lucky so far in the fact that the win/loss difference between many teams in the middle of the Western Conference is not that big at the moment.
In my opinion, the Lakers are having this terrible performance year after year, but unfortunately this season they are terrible, and that is clear.
But the Lakers can still surprise everyone and I have no doubt about that, I believe, the Lakers will still get a seed in the playoffs of this season.

Rockets have Buck's number when it comes to games at Rockets home(Toyota center). They've beaten the bucks, 4 out of the past 5 times including tonight's win. Giannis with 48 points and 17 rebounds but it wasn't enough to get past the Rockets.

It's a normal team for a team to lose points against their opponents, no doubt about that. Watching the Lakers is consider no big deal. The Lakers is a top team and none of these random team will easily find it simple to defeat an elite formidable team like Lakers. They're in possession of the good big names and these players doesn't relent a bit because they know how important the club and the supporters needs them, they don't jeopardize chances and the only time they would failed to win is basically when they don't see any golden chances of winning and fatigue and critical injuries hits them really hard.

Agreed.  I think after watching the in season tournament Lebron is coasting to much in the regular season.  I know at his age he can't go hard for 82.  In the past when he was young he could coast and still win but not anymore.  Last year they started too late and never made that push they needed.  They better not get too far behind or they will be fighting for the playin.

Lakers were never that great to be fair, the in-season tournament looked like the only thing they could win so that is why they tried their hardest there, while other teams saw it mostly as just a regular season game, and focused on playoffs, Lakers acted as if that was the nba championship, and that is why they won. Of course, other teams tried when it came to semi finals and finals as well, but Lakers had to win just a few games to get there, only a few wins and they were great.

I think Lebron is being left alone once again, that is what happens when he goes to a team, that is always his trouble. He builds a team, he wins something, the players who won with him gets paid a lot more in other teams, he is left with scrubs when his initial winning teammates leave for more money. It always happens to him, except maybe Miami.
can't.

Perhaps the Warriors are playing against the worse team in the league in Detroit Pistons hence the need for the Steve Kerr to give more playing time to his bench and even non-role players enough minute, but I hope this proves the he should be able count on these guys more going forward, and the game is quite significant a statement for Jonathan Kuminga, Trayce and Pod as I mentioned after their loss last night!!!
They did well tonight. Podziemski, Jackson-Davis, and Saric all contributed pretty well to the win against the Detroit Pistons. There were some bad moments in the fourth quarter where the Pistons got the lead but Steph Curry was so awesome at shooting his specialty 3-point shots and that put a dagger to win the game.
The sad part is that CP3 hurt himself and had to exit the game. I hope it's not that bad. Also, Steve Kerr must think about a plan for how he can calm things down whenever his team is in the lead. Because what happened today is just like what happened with the game against the Nuggets.

Memphis Grizzlies upsets the LA Lakers. This is one of the big news today. Jaren Jackson Jr. stepping up his game making 5/6 in three-point line and 3 blocks. Marcus Smart was also helpful in their offense. 29 points, 8/14 in the 3-point range which is amazing. I think the Grizzlies are getting their right position on who's who. They are still inconsistent but this is a good start for them.

Another upset game is the Orlando Magic winning against the Denver Nuggets although this is understandable as the Nuggets played yesterday against the Warriors so exhaustion is a big part of their loss today. Plus, their bench is not playing well and they need to do something about it.
Was quite surprised to hear that the Nuggets lost to the Magic today.
Haven't been watching much of the NBA ever since the New Years. There has been some good games and with San Antonio's Wembly not getting the ball as much from his teammates which I didn't know was a problem.

Doesn't seem like he is gelling with them as much as most though he had been. But it shows in their record as they have had loss after loss recently.

Will be getting into these games more and more as the year gets back into the swing of things after the holidays are over for them now.

I am beyond surprised that Grayson Allen seems to be the guy outperforming expectations on the Suns.  I absolutely hate his play style and think he has no honor whatsoever.  Players like him don't belong in the NBA.  All that aside, the guy has had some monster outings this season for the Suns and led them to a victory over Miami yesterday with a 31 point performance.  A team with Booker, Beal, & Durant being carried by Grayson Allen just doesn't seem right to me.  I guess I'll have to get over it though because he is helping my hometown team win.  I just really wish he wasn't on the Suns...

So Kuminga is frustrated and we all know what happen as they meltdown in the 4th and Kuminga was in the bench and can't do anything.
After that frustration note, Steve Kerr gave him 36 minutes today, and look what happened? He ain't that big contributor anymore but he was there unlike the battle against the Denver Nuggets. Is he still frustrated or was it just because of his inconsistency? The actual problem of the Warriors is not about their chemistry, it's about the inconsistency of many players in their roster. Wiggins, Kuminga, and even Klay Thompson. It's only Steph Curry who has been doing all the work. He had a bad start and yet he gained back his composure in the next quarters especially the 4th quarter where he put the dagger to put the Pistons away in a three-possession game. I don't think Steve Kerr is an unselfish guy when it comes to giving minutes but as a coach, the player must prove his worth first. I like how Kuminga is stepping up his game, he is double digits in points for their last 11 games which I think is great.

Lakers continued their struggle, they had a good start in this game but could not end it the right way. It would be acceptable if they lose in a very close game, but that's not what happened, instead, they allowed the Memphis to dominate them in the 4th quarter. I don't when their struggle will end but I would like to say that they need to end this soon if they want to be in the playoffs.
This is a big problem for them. They just won the inaugural of the in-season tournament so all eyes are on them and many NBA fans are amazed at how Lebron is still playing at a high level despite his age. But, what's happening now is not looking good. Yes, Lebron is still making enough contribution for the team but there are 5 players on the floor and I doubt he could carry a team by himself. They have lots of injuries which is a big issue. DLO, Rui, and Gabe. They might want to use their 3rd team and start looking for a hot man who could earn them a win in their next games. Only 8 players played against the Grizzlies and it's not a good thing. They must trust the other players to show up if they are called.

Don't forget to vote for All-Star today. Votes count 3x.

I quickly picked Dončić, SGA, Jokić, Durant and Şengün for the West and Cunningham, Haliburton, Embiid, Tatum and Randle for the East.

I know some of them have very low chance but they all deserve it. Coaches will have though job about picking bench players. There are a lot of quality players and the competition is great this season. Statistics increased very significantly for most players.

And so the All-star voting is in the process I guess I will make a vote later, for the West for sure Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, De'Aaron Fox, and Luka Doncic, land for the East, Trae Younge, Tyrese Haliburton, and Cade Cunningham is what I want to voter right now as for sure there are many that are worthy to be in the All-star games but for sure even without here in the pick LeBron James and Stephen Curry will be in this game,

Yeah, with that kind of performance against Giannis last night, I think Wemby just shows that he still has a lot of tricks inside his bag. He might not be as good as Lebron at that age, but still he can go against the best in the NBA like Giannis.

Even Giannis admitted that Wemby is a great player, his height alone he says that he is definitely not 7'3. And then he can move with that height, score rebound and block shots, he is not overhyped for me. He just need more time and surround himself with players that can make his good or be instrumental in his career.

Yup! but his talents will surely go to waste if he stays in the San Antonio Spurs Victor Wembanyama is a talented prospect for sure and it is shown in his play but it is likely not enough as he needs a formidable team for his skills and techniques to exceeds for sure, he will likely not going to be something big in the San Antonio Spurs but that is if he got better players in that team that maybe can help him but for sure just like Chet Holgrem he can surely up his skills and become a better player in the future,

The Los Angeles Lakers had a great start and won the In-Season Tournament and I think it is because it got only 1 game to participate for sure the Lakers are good at analyzing the strategy of a team 1st hand but because they had players that are brittle and likely can get injured easily, for sure they came prepared for the In-Season Tournament but after the play-offs progress they surely have a lot of problems going further this season,

That energy during the In-Season tournament is gone. 4th losing streak. They are struggling against a team that is undermanned especially in the rim protection division. James did what he can, AD too, Reaves also helping out, but that will not be enough to win a game. If their other team mates are not a threat to any position of the floor then it's easy to predict where the ball will go.
Grizzlies just got Morant back which means chemistry building is happening for now. They are supposed to be not a strong team that can easily be beaten but I guess the Lakers will keep this losing streak especially with their schedule.
Clippers will be next, then Raptors, and Suns. How they will be able to defeat them is a question that is hard to answer.

I've already casted my vote and some were just the players that I like to see and be pat of this all star. I've also voted for Cade because IMHO, he deserve it.

You know what's more deserving for Cade? He deserves to be with another team. Being on that team is a waste of talent. I can't even remember when was the last time the Pistons win a playoff game or they can't barely make it to the playoffs and the last time the Pistons have actually had a good roster is in 2004 when they have the Wallaces, Billups, Rip Hamilton, & Tayshaun Prince. After that, the Pistons have never had a chance to redeem themselves for 20 years now. They actually gotten worse now lol. I hope the kid could find a way to be out of this team asap.

On the other hand, the Lakers have lost again against the Grizzlies and they are now entering the worst stage of their season again just like last season. I'm surprised Darvin still being the head coach lol.

And yet they just win by just 4 points, but still a win for them as it could erase last night collapsed against the Nuggets. And Denver getting their own dose of medicine as they lost to the Magic, as Orlando rally and beat them with just 2 points.

Tomorrow's game, Pacers vs Celtics, it will be at Pacers homecourt, but I don't know if it's going to be a big factor against Boston as they are again on a winning streak and just destroying anyone even if they're on the road. Although Pacers is a tough team to bet, but I think the Celtics can win and cover the spread.

And this is what worry me if you are a a Warrior fan,

Quote
After sitting for the final 18 minutes of Thursday night’s loss to the Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga has lost faith in coach Steve Kerr, and the 2021 lottery pick no longer believes Kerr will allow him to reach his full potential, sources close to Kuminga tell The Athletic, adding another layer of turbulence to an already complex Warriors season.

https://theathletic.com/5181608/2024/01/05/jonathan-kuminga-steve-kerr-warriors-lineup/

He was doing great against the Nuggets, but then again Kerr substituted him with Wiggins and then he didn't let him go back the usual in the last 6 minutes of the game. So Kuminga is frustrated and we all know what happen as they meltdown in the 4th and Kuminga was in the bench and can't do anything.

It's so hard to choose because it's like that many of them deserve to be part of the all-star but let alone the fans decide on it.

Coaches will have though job about picking bench players.
And that's where the next potential star player will come out if they will be able to choose the good bench players out there.

There are a lot of quality players and the competition is great this season. Statistics increased very significantly for most players.
I definitely agree and there are more talents that are needed to be scene and if luckily given the playing time, then for sure that they'll be able to make use of it maximum and worth it.

You know what's better. Jokic doesn't care about analytics, doesn't care about his stats, and only cares about his horses. Cheesy He's very humble as well.
That's why people loved him and loved him even more when he became a champ because he's got more platform to speak whatever he want to speak and people will definitely listen to him.
I guess if we're just on the same country as him and we like horses, we'd definitely to get along with him and befriend him.

And then he can move with that height, score rebound and block shots, he is not overhyped for me. Well, his height is the main reason why he was overhyped by the media. If you look at his stats, it doesn't stand out much compared to the stats of successful rookies of previous years. Anyway, Victor has a huge potential, and he doesn't even need to surround himself with other players because he already has Coach Pop, who will surely be able to mold him into a future NBA star.

Indeed. Wembanyama's height makes him easy to notice literally and figuratively. Although he can deliver, so far he still remains to be a student. He is probably not the kind of rookie that is going to be registered in NBA's colorful rookie history. Wemby is no Chamberlain or even Griffin. But he surely can be a great player. He's got the legendary mentor in Coach Pop. Of course it's not enough. He still needs more time playing against NBA players. That's what makes one a good NBA player.

He needs time and teammates that will support him, though he's being overhyped but I think he already prove his worth, even his team
is not performing that well but his stats shown his value to his team.

He got coach Pop and knowing the guy he will do everything to develop this kid, a single season with no known star with his squad, that's really
tough competition for him.

But, chances that Spurs is just waiting for a perfect timing to consume money to re-build their championship lineup.
