I just viewed the current West Standings and that is when I know the Minnesota Timberwolves are in a tight position as 10 teams will be battling for the 3rd - 8th spot in the Playoffs. Making the path of the Timberwolves harder is Jimmy Butler's return won't be until the playoff rounds which is doubtful as of the moment. Currently they are sitting on the 6th seed and their next game would be on Friday against the Boston Celtics I am hoping that they will have a firm grip on any of the west playoff spots as I really need to see them end the playoff drought.
I can say that the Minnesota Timberwolves can easily secure a spot at the western conference but if Jimmy Butler won't return until the playoffs begin, i doubt if they will survive the first round.

The Rockets are playing well but Mike D'Antoni's best teams always did well in the regular season. It's in the playoffs where they have struggled in the past.

The Golden State Warriors have a much better defense and a much better half-court game. The Rockets look real nice right now but let's see when things slow down in a seven-game series. Not only has D'Antoni fallen short many times in key playoff series, so has Chris Paul.
This is too true as it happened last year. They made it to the playoffs but then seemed to spend all their energy and didn't have anything more left in the gas tank to get it done once in there.
Same thing I notice with the San Antonio Spurs.
Always makes it to the ball but then can not execute once there.
Same thing every season. Undecided

Well we have seen Rockets chokes out in the playoffs. Last year they lost to San Antonio and the veteran Manu blocks Harden to seal the victory for the Spurs.

But there is a big difference this season. They have Chris Paul now. Last year, Harden has the task of bringing the ball down and distributing it. So it lift a lot of burden from Harden's shoulder. So let see how it goes in the playoff. Gonna be critical but I think Houston will not choke this time.

Houston is much more improve now that last season and it Kawhi Leonard is not showing good signs of health. I can only hope regarding Chris Paul and Harden team work to improve better. They seemed not too good of a pair earlier.

Houston Rockets is showing also a good performance last year and they are deadly.

You know what is the problem? It's James Harden itself. Remember that Harden was one of the closest rival of Russell Westbrook for Season MVP last season and also acquired great numbers of triple double back then. But during the important turnaround game against the San Antonio Spurs last playoffs, Harden "literally choked" like what he did on his first final appearance in OKC. It's ok to loss but with that performance of him, they didn't gave a challenge.

Just hope that he will not be like that this year as they have a high chance to matched Golden State Warriors on acquiring the West champion title.

Hah.. Good point. He was a top MVP candidate last year, however his performance during playoffs specially against San Antonio has shown the chink in his armor. He literally choked and the block that Manu put on him was one for the ages.

Let's see how it goes though. Its want separate a good player from a legendary one. Legendary does choke it the playoffs actually they raises their game about one notch. Lets see how Harden will show his MVP caliber in the playoffs specially with Paul at his side.

Another loss by the cavaliers, now against the Denver Nuggets
This game is one of the high scoring game that they made and many are surely upset with what happened.

Cavaliers are a very unpredictable team. But I think with the absence of Price really did affect them in the last two games in which they have lost now back to back. Embarrassed
They are for every season if Price's absence does had an impact in your opinion. I guess we have to look out for the reason of their lose but the only thing that I'm thinking is that they are fighting against stronger teams and they need to play harder.
You can not really say that Price not being in the lineup isn't hurting their offence either. Undecided

He is a killer when it comes to shooting three-pointers and they really needed the offence to kick it up a notch as their losses where not by much and definitely not blow outs.
With those extra couple of points they could be having a hot winning streak as the Houston Rockets are having nailing their 15th win in a row last night. Cool
Oh well moving up from this past game of Cavaliers, they are able to recover against Detroit Pistons and let's see tomorrow if Lebron and his squad will be able to get some revenge against their opponent last time that did gave them a high scoring game, Denver Nuggets. What can you say people about this match?

Well, Cavs is not that consistent like before they had good game but most of the time they hava a bad game. Team's chemistry must be fixed as soon as possible. Though Cavs vs detroit, I was amazed by how Nance Jr. Showcase his talent in this match. He's now improving having 22 pts and 15 rebounds with a couple of assists. The addition of the new players like Hill, JC, Nance, is lifting the spirit of Cavs. To be honest, Cavs could easily pass Denver if and only if they will improve their on court communication.

As the season progresses, I see Houston Rockets has a great chance on making it to the championship. As of the moment, they are unstoppable and developed their teamwork on court. Their pick and roll is unstoppable and they have deep shooters that can also contribute inside.
As the saying goes, "first impressions last" so their performance is good for this season and I can't deny that they have a chance.

Honestly I think the Houston Rockets are going to be the 2018 NBA Champions. Very strong starting five, solid bench, strong core. Capela is killing it, I don't think I need to say something about Harden and CP3. Wish the Rockets all the best and a healthy remain of the season! Smiley
They are playing really well. If they stay healthy I can see a game 7 at Houston, because they can still get 1st place and play at home. 15W in a row. Im sure the Warriors are worried, CP3 and Harden are too good on offense and they can keep up with the Warriors.
That's very important, if they will play healthy after the next round then no doubt they can perform well, as I mention cp3 addition to this team really makes them a contender for this seasons title, though still too early to say if the defending champion will let them that easy but for sure a good and
interesting competition will happen, just looking forward for all the competing team that will advance to the next round.

It didn't made some noise and discussion here. Utah Jazz won against Orlando. Rubio's performance for this match is spectacular.

And they are going to be very deserving champions when that happens. They are one of the most consistent teams currently in the NBA and with both the Cavaliers and Warriors not as dominant as they previously used to be, I think the Rockets are going to swoop in and win.
They have a chance but they are not yet proven if they can keep up with good teams like the warriors and the cavaliers, it's a lot of fun this coming playoffs as we have a lot of good teams to watch, and there is a chance that we might not be able to see a warriors vs cavaliers rematch in the NBA Finals again.

In my opinion there's no doubt that the warriors have saving their strength this season and not showing it off especially defensively, also the Rockets may seem to be playing on their highest gears in most of their gamesalso  Their best players have played less than half a seasons worth of games. And even when they were, they were missing key rotation players. Rockets still have so much room to become much more stronger in finals unfortunately Matchups will dictate who wins and who will be the runner up I’m going off the Warriors history against Harden and Paul led teams. Warriors have the advantage.

The rockets are playing and extraordinary game, they don't look unbeatable but their ability to be clutch in the game gives them the edge.
It's a good season now since the competition is really good, teams in the East and the West are all performing, shitty teams in the past are a threat now.

Of course, No team is unbeatable not even Rockets, but the good is that everything looks perfect now, the pieces are falling into its position that's why they are riding a winning streak today. Gone were the days that they usually choke at the end and eventually lost the game.

It has something to do with the team upper management. Those 'shitty" teams are performing because the management has made a lot of drastic moves to change their team, to be competitive. And they are now reaping the rewards.

You can't yet conclude that though. Everything changes when it comes to the playoffs. There have been many times when a top team during the regular season ended up underperforming in the playoffs.

Indeed, Like what happen to OKC against GSW when KD is still with the thunders. They'd finished the season strong and dominated the 1st and 2nd round of the POs but they still fell short against the warriors. No matter how strong OKC was they were still outplayed by the warriors. In the same year GSW vs Cavs, warriors did have 3-1 early lead but again cavs did everything to even the series and ended up winning the NBA finals.
