Finally the NBA made the right decision for Draymond Green.

Draymond Green’s suspension is good for everyone

Quote
It was fairly shocking on Wednesday night, when the NBA announced an indefinite suspension for Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green. I had anticipated a fine and probably a one-game suspension after Green struck Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkić in the face on Tuesday, resulting in a Flagrant 2 foul and an ejection in a game the Dubs would lose by three points.

He's on indefinite suspension and it's not certain when he'll come back, but most likely it will a long period of time.
Now, the Warriors will defenitely struggle on their defense without him as they were playing a small ball when Draymond is a significant player for their success, without him, their playoffs hope might be done this season.
This was long time for coming, Draymond deserved this long long time ago, and he lost a whole ring because of this and yet he still didn't learn from it. We all know that Cavs managed to make that comeback because Draymond was fined that game and couldn't play, his suspension for was just one game but that game was the finals game so it was a huge deal, and he kept on playing dirty after that too.

The problem is not that he did something bad, that's of course not nice and requires a lot of self reflection but the main problem is that he always finds and excuse, and I am 100% guaranteed that he is not lying, he thinks he did nothing wrong. This time it was "I just wanted to sell the call" and we all know his kicking of the nether region was "shooting motion" and so forth. He needs to be banned for a long time, lose his contract, sponsors, and just be vet min journeyman career from here on out.

He'll be back for sure, it's just an indefinite suspension and the NBA management should done better with that decision. This isn't the first time that Dray did that to another player, good thing that Nurkic doesn't hold a grudge on what he did. If it's other players that are too hot to handle, well, it's gonna be a war.

What's better with indefinite suspension is, a total ban and that's for sure going to suffice all of the mistakes that he has done for all of these years with all of those intentional physicalities he did to other players.

Now, the Warriors will defenitely struggle on their defense without him as they were playing a small ball when Draymond is a significant player for their success, without him, their playoffs hope might be done this season.
They have to suffer the consequence of his actions and I guess that even if it's an indefinite suspension, they don't have that much pool on their bench players to replace him with his role.

Great and impressive win by the Clippers, even without PG, they defeated the Warriors. Although Golden State make it close in the 4th, but they didn't have the defense inside as they allow easy shots to Powell.

I was also impressed earlier, I mean, they are doing what the fans expected them to do because they have all the necessary players to dominate the other teams and they winning 7 straight right now which indicates that they are going to have a playoff spot if this will gonna continue. That would be better than not making it despite they have this great player with them. I really hope they play like this because those 4 players are one of my favorites when they are playing like how they used to be in their early years in the NBA.

I don't think anyone will deny the fact that Green is a dirty player and always has been throughout his NBA career. In my opinion, the NBA management made the absolutely right decision by suspending him indefinitely.
I wonder how long it will take him to realize and accept certain conditions of the team and the league before he can return. There are doubts that he will change something in his mind and be able to control his emotions in some other way.

Good, at least the NBA has reacted to really suspend him as he is out of control. Although he has the history of those kind of cheap shots, remember him kicking Adams in the nuts? That's already some sign that Draymond is doing it intentionally. But this time he went to far, with the Gobert choke and now hitting Nurkic. And I guess the Warriors are going to suffer for it, and just like in the games against the Clippers, Green services is missing as they lost that game. Although Klay was hot, it was not enough as the Clippers closing them in the last minute of the 4th quarter. So another close lost for them and it's going to hurt them more without Draymond in the lineup.

Let's play with stats. I don't have any of the stats but based on my observation, on games without Draymond Green, Warriors aren't winning most of their games, which means now they'll experience the same.  They were already playing without GP3 which is a defensive specialist, and now they lose another defensive player, I don't know what to expect on the Warriors anymore.

Guys, if you are gambling, I suggest don't back the Warriors as they are not the same, instead bet against them. That's a friendly advise, play with the real numbers and forget the hype from Curry.

I think maybe we can bet on them when they are playing in their homecourt, but usually when they are away from home, they suffered close end game defeat or even a blow up. And up to know, Steve Kerr is really putting a lot of things to really make it work for them, specially that Green is indefinitely out.

He even put the rookie to start in place of Wiggins, and it did work to some extend. And Klay trying to cover for Draymond, hitting 7 threes in this game. But they still fall short as the Clippers has the confidence right now as they are on a winning streak. Just too bad that how Green is really a bid headache to the Warriors after signing a big contract.
Draymond is quickly becoming an embarrassment to his teammates. I think the NBA is going to give him a lengthy suspension this time around. 15-20 games if not longer and he deserves every minute of it. You can't just go apeshit on players multiple times and expect to get a slap on the wrist everytime. NBA needs to send a message to all players that this type of behavior will not be tolerated and ban him from the league permanently. Maybe that will open some eyes.

What he did on Nurkic is not a cheap shot anymore he blow out his head in purpose that's why he really deserve that indefinite ban. He need to learn from that since he acting so vicious recently and didn't think about his team or other player if they will be in bad position. Lately he's not doing good basketball that's why its good for Warriors to decide if they take action on this since if they let Green be in their roster and continue to act like that for sure it continue to destroy their team.

They need everybody on court but for facing a lot of controversy for sure it stress out all players in the team that's why they are now facing a huge loss because they maybe can't get enough help and Dray's presence is so good but he choose to became if not worst a bad player and sit out then wait for his penalty to be lifted out.

That was long due I guess. Maybe  the NBA are just waiting for a very obvious reason to suspend him. Green has been so aggressive, I don't know if he was frustrated with what is happening to his team because they are used to be a top team but this season, we've seen their inconsistency. Actually, the Warriors are playing well with Green because his energy makes the team to play better but due to his stupid move, now the Warriors will be undermanned and that would mean their season is at risk now, at risk of not getting into the playoffs.

I thought they would improve this season when they signed up CP3, but it seems like they'll be worse compared to the last season.

Maybe it is time for the draft lottery mechanics to change. I do not agree anymore that these worst-performing teams should get the highest chances of getting the number 1 pick. I would like it more if all teams that failed to qualify for the playoffs should have an equal percentage of getting the number 1 pick.

I don't think they'll work on changing the current rules with your suggestion. What the NBA is trying to achieve here is on balancing the NBA, and that every team are going to benefit and the fans would be interested in watching. Just like the 76ers before, they had a bunch of number 1 pick before they actually become a good team, so it's quite helpful that way.

Spurs may struggle so hard this season, if they'll get another first round pick, then most likely they'll not end up at the bottom again.

I also think that Spurs do this on purpose since they want to get another first round pick that's why they are not really bothered to lose this season again since as stated they are in rebuilding mode. And they are just leaving this season to develop Wemby that's the reason of all of there negative performance show in this conference. If this is the real case here then maybe there's something to investigate about and if there's a proven case of something like this happening maybe there's some changes needed to do so that they can make the league more balance and no teams would do this actions and make the league more balance then competition became more tighter since this is what fans actually like to see on each game they watch.

It's weird though if we assumed that Spurs management is doing it on purpose though. They have a great organizations, they have proven that they are a championship caliber team already. So it's very hard to think that coach Spo is doing or letting his team to have that losing streak or the worst team just to be able to get another first round pick. They will have to win and then developed Wemby so that the Spurs will be back on top again. So it might take years though to developed their young player. But if they found the secret formula or at least they know what the blue print is, then definitely they will be back in the number 2 seasons. So let's see how and when they are going to break that losing streak. Who knows, maybe before Christmas they will have a "gift".

Meanwhile, The Spurs will play again tomorrow against the Lakers. The Lakers are on the road but at 1.40, this should be easy money again. There's no way Lebron allows his team as the reason the Spurs' worst losing streak ends. Cheesy

And the handicap at the start is -5.5. But they need to be careful, because last game they've almost let the Spurs take the win from them. They are comfortable sitting in a good lead until the Spurs comes back late in the 4th so it was a collapsed.

But as you have said, being the in-tournament champion, they have the bragging rights. But if they let themselves being the victim of San Antonio here and breaking their losing streak? It's going to hurt them mentally. Ham though, see what they need to improved as to not to collapse in the last quarter, he acknowledge it already, so expect him to make adjustments in this game.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a franchise-record 64 points to help the Milwaukee Bucks outscore the Indiana Pacers 140-126 on Wednesday night.

Antetokounmpo broke the team record of 57 set by Michael Redd in 2006 in a 113-111 loss to the Utah Jazz. Antetokounmpo’s previous career high was 55 in a 123-113 victory over Washington in January 2023. He had 54 at Indiana on Nov. 9.
https://www.nba.com/news/giannis-antetokounmpo-sets-bucks-record-with-64-points

Michael Redd. Oh yeah! I remember him.
What made this career-high of Giannis? Well, the Pacers lack an inside player who can protect the rim and when they are up against a team whose main focus is a big man like Giannis, they will probably be defeated. Just like what happened against the Lakers in the In-Season tournament where Anthony Davis dominated the game beneath the rim. Offensive rebounds, post-up play, and getting and ones that made Myles Turner fouled out.

Anyway, in that game against the Pacers, Giannis was supposed to rest with 3 minutes remaining in the game, it should've been a blowout game until the bench of the Bucks made a lot of mistakes that made the deficit go low to single-digits. They have to put their stars back in just to make sure and put the dagger.
Milwaukee Bucks is scary, an offensive threat in the paint, another threat on outside shots, and a good shot blocker like Lopez. They are complete at both ends of the floor. They might make it to the Finals one more time if healthy.

Yeah, Michael Redd, lefty right?

As long as the Bucks is going to play it right, they will be a scary team. And this is what we should have been expecting from them in the beginning, Him and Lillard teaming up to be one of the most formidable teams.

But it take some time to really have that kind of blending, and then the roster settling down on their roles, like Middleton and Lopez. We might see another breaking scores from other players too this season and this could just be a start.

There is nothing to investigate though since the Spurs are playing according to the rules. Coach Pop can make all his plays for Wemby to give him exposure. Like letting Wemby to the dribbles, allowing him to assist or even try to set a play. Everything the Spurs are doing is for the development of Wemby to turn him into an all-around superstar and the NBA cannot take action against it even if the plays are not capable of winning.

In Europe, their soccer leagues are relegating the weakest bottom teams and then other teams will enter the league. If this will be done in the NBA the competition will be better. You can rebuild but not like you have no plans of winning and are only looking forward to taking the best talents during the next drafts. Just imagine if 3 of the weakest teams in the Western and Eastern conferences are removed and sent to the lower leagues, that will make the NBA games more exciting to watch.

Meanwhile, The Spurs will play again tomorrow against the Lakers. The Lakers are on the road but at 1.40, this should be easy money again. There's no way Lebron allows his team as the reason the Spurs' worst losing streak ends. Cheesy

And Amir Coffey is the star for the Clippers as he made a lot of 3's in the game. Klay Thompson breaking out of his slump in this game, but it was Steph who had a bad game, scoring just 17 points way below his average. Clippers now, winning 6 in a row and I guess Harden feeling good with his new team now. And the criticism has subside a little, as he led with 28 points and and 15 assists.

Wemby is getting way too much pressure on what he is doing, he is not causing the team to lose, he is all alone as a single 18-19 year old kid can't do anything, he needs other players to help him as well. Dude is a centre, he is 7'5 and can dribble like a guard, shoot threes and blocks like it's nobodies business and we are going to see him as the responsible person for this losing streak?

I think by now we should know that he can't carry Spurs, he is still a rookie and the last one if we are going back in NBA history that a rookie carry his team is Lebron James, enough said. He had a good mentor though in coach Spo, who is also known to make good players become great one. So give Wemby some time to develop and not be pressured this season.

I mean sure it looks terrible on a resume, and yes Chet is doing so well when you consider those two are compared, but the reality is that if you trade Chet and Wemby, then you would still see OKC doing awesome and Spurs doing terrible, there is really no reason we consider that Wemby is the main reason why they are going to end up losing.

Chet is on a different team, players like SGA is their franchise player, so there's no pressure on him. He just have to show every game his best performance and he is being magnified every game to the point that he is not the leading candidate for the Rookie of the year as per odds.

I don't think anyone is claiming wemby is the reason the Spurs are losing.  They just don't have a good team.  Okc is a couple years ahead of them in the rebuild.  There is no one on the Spurs that can replicate what sga can do for okc.  Nobody is expecting the world from this guy.  If he just plays a large majority of the year and stays relatively injury free that would be a win.  Spurs are a couple draft picks AND a couple free agents away from competing at a top level.

Oh my goodness! Victor Wembanyama is making history for the San Antonio Spurs franchise. Longest losing streak at 18 now. I just checked the worst NBA team losing streak and it is made by the Philadelphia 76ers at 28 straight losses. I guess the Spurs should not reached that 28-losing streak. There are 4 games that they have a chance to win against Portland, Chicago, and Utah.

Fun fact, Joel Embiid was a rookie when Philly had 28 straight losses. Luckily for Embiid, he was not healthy and never played a single game during that season. Grin

Wow! I never heard of it happening just recently in my time, I thought it was in the '90s Cheesy Grin

What exactly is the problem here? I mean what they are missing?

Because you cannot reason out that Wemby is just a rookie because he also has teammates that he can rely on. It seems like they are having trouble and they are just getting played at whenever they step on the court. they cannot afford to continue this scenario because it's too embarrassing since they don't have enough reason why they are being like this.

We really don't know what's missing except that the fact that most of their players are really very young and inexperienced and most likely in close games, their mentality is not there. But we all know that coach Pop is a great coach and motivator. He just have to really push this kid to their limits and know what and how to become a great player. Wemby is good no doubt about, by maybe it's just his mentality though.

Let's see who will be their opponent that they can beat. Yeah, the next 4 games we might see them breaking that spell. And so bettors should be looking to throw some money on them because they are going to be a big underdog against those teams but they could have a good chance to take a win.
