According to betting companies, the championship favorite of the 2023-24 season is Boston Celtics!
Maybe they can be this year, but it's hard to say for sure, because other teams are also favorites this year. One of my favorites is Phoenix Suns.
How does it be like that when they already messed up every time also they seem like getting rust compared to the Phoenix Suns who acquired many more star players to bring them to another championship game. Maybe it is because the Boston Celtics don't have much competition in the East because the Nuggets and Lakers are in the West. that's what they are counting here.
I guess many bettors sees the acquisition of Porzingis a good thing for the team since they now have a big three of Brown, Tatum, and now Porzingis.
TBH, it's quite surprising that the Celtics has been the favorites of some bettors to win the title where in fact, they always get defeated. Well, they're just one series win away 2 seasons ago when they reached the NBA finals, and 1 win away from clinching the NBA Finals last season if only they didn't lost to the Miami Heat. Without Grant Williams, and Marcus Smart, the defense of the team surely will drop, so I don't know how Coach Mazulla will do something about this. I just also hope that Porzingis will not get injured, and will sit for a long time in the regular season. The Celtics are tied with the Nuggets to win the title currently.
The Suns are 4th, currently tied with the Bucks to win while my team, the Warriors are 6th with +1400. I don't want to get biased, but why not many people are rooting the Warriors to win. I mean they have the greatest shooter, and arguably one of the best Point Guards of all time as well. Maybe the history of CP3 is one reason, but I'll bet for them still to win. As for the Suns, the acquisition of Beal really made them one of the favorites to win the title as well.
Looks like the cracks rare starting to form in New Orleans. Brandon Ingram has said that he has no plans to sign an extension this year and after the season will start evaluating his options. Basically, he’s not going to wait around to see how the Zion experiment goes. I don’t blame him since I think Zion wants out as well.
The once I called the "Dark Horse" team last season are now crumbling.
Well, I can't blame Ingram as well because he waited how many years for Zion to be healthy, but he can't get himself healthy. Ingram is a great asset for the Pelicans, and a great shooter as well. If he will try to find another team next season, for sure many teams will be interested in him. He just needs to play like how he played last season, and many teams who are in need of a shooting guard will definitely try to get him.
As for Zion, he still has this upcoming season to redeem himself or else, he will get traded. On the other hand, being traded sometimes is a good thing for that player.
