Anyone has seen this podcast? It's about Giannis reiterating that he might leave the Bucks to search for a team that will give him championships,

https://twitter.com/RossGeiger/status/1701592311392797006

"I'm a Milwaukee Buck, but most importantly I'm a winner… If there is a better situation for me to win the Larry O'Brien I have to take that better situation.”

And with that, I think Giannis will leave the Bucks after this contract has ended and as what we have discussed already, might be looking for teams like the Warriors,  Grin

He can probably go to another team, Giannis wants a championship, Milwaukee has no choice but to bring good players to the team, if they don't, Giannis will leave the team.
But I don't think he will go to Golden State.

Warriors need to dispose a lot of talents before he can get Giannis on their team then might it can cause them a lot also a tittle contention since they might lose their valuable pieces for getting him in trade block if that's gonna happen. Also we consider their cap space so its not really possible for now that this Giannis goes to Warriors discussion is not really possible for now. Maybe on other contender teams like Lakers,Suns or Nuggets maybe they can do something to get Giannis and maybe he can work well with this teams.

Could be him postering too, to get the Bucks to put more around him.  I wouldn't take too much into it but if I was a Bucks fan I'd be concerned lol.  He was the best thing to happen to that franchise.  He would look great in a knick uniform:)

Draymond is just dreaming. Yes they are a decent team but to win 2 more titles? I do not think that would be possible, Curry is an amazing player but the rest of the team is not as good anymore. Klay is not the Klay he used to be after the injury, and he does help the team on defense better than I assumed, and shoots a lot and all that, but the lack of attention to him is the most important reason for that, which means that they find him open and that's why he can score. When it matters, they defend him and things change a lot.

I am guessing that injuries play a big role too, when your team is this much older, you are going to have a lot more players that gets injured and they are not going to be doing that fine.

Kevin Porter Jr.'s career in the NBA has got to be over. His alleged attack on his girlfriend who played in the WNBA, Kysre Gondrezic has left her with a broken neck. He’ll be lucky to avoid a lengthy prison sentence in my opinion, but even if he does I would hope that the NBA never pays him another penny after this incident.

Its a shame, KPJ looked really solid with other youngins on the rockets. Its gonna be bad for him since Houston will be needing him and on rebuilding phase but they still have Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun and of course that dawg Dillon Brooks whos been in super saiyan mode on FIBAWC .

And also Fred Vanvleet and Jeff Green is solid addition for the rockets since they will be also need Veteran presence. The Rockets will be doing good next season

With all the news coming out now about incidents with the team and throwing tantrums at clubs, destroying property, etc. It’s pretty shocking that they had him on the team in the first place. He doesn’t strike me as talented enough to be a major problem to his team like that. Pretty sure we will never see him play again.
CBS created an article about this and it's a good read about the history of Kevin Porter Jr.
Quote
The question before us is how, after so many red flags and warnings, the Houston Rockets allowed him into an NBA locker room again in the first place. And, why, after this latest alleged act of violence, there would be even a remote question of anyone actually thinking of taking a chance on him again.

Throughout his career, the only thing more constant than Porter Jr.'s promise on the court was the promise of trouble off of it.

Back in college, he was suspended at USC for two games for "conduct issues." In 2020, Porter was involved in a one-car crash and charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, failure to control a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana. Though all charges were eventually dismissed, the concerns surrounding him were not.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/sadly-the-allegations-against-kevin-porter-jr-arent-shocking-why-didnt-more-help-didnt-come-sooner/

It ain't shocking anymore. So he can really do it without even thinking twice about his career or his future. IMO, he is a good player, probably a competitive one too when I saw him challenge Steph Curry back in the day but he was swept by Curry like dust. Too young, and too hot-headed, that's what I see in him.
Now about the case, if ever everything will have proof that he did it all, I am sorry but his career in basketball is all done. I don't think the NBA would just ignore this anymore. It's too much unlike the previous violence that he did way back in Cleveland.
Another big waste of talent and I wish a lesson for young players that their every move might affect their career and multi million contracts.

Yeah, I think he is done with the NBA and I think that the Rockets will have to drop him soon with this allegations and if proven true, then jail time as well. It's just sad to hear this kind of stories, but I don't know, it seems that athletes in general are hard heated and they have a temper?

Anyhow, wasted talent it is, but for sure the fans are not going to missed this kind of basketball player. There are a lot of college player who wanted to be in the NBA and even those in the other leagues. But Porter Jr was very lucky that he was in the NBA but wasted with this kind of actions.

According to betting companies, the championship favorite of the 2023-24 season is Boston Celtics!
Maybe they can be this year, but it's hard to say for sure, because other teams are also favorites this year. One of my favorites is Phoenix Suns.
This year’s championship is definitely the Suns’ to lose. The only things that could stop them is injuries or lack of team chemistry. If they can stay healthy and get a full season in, I don’t see anyone stopping them.

Seems too much to ask, I'd say. Lack of chemistry might be a problem but they can always fix that as they will have a lot of room to adjust while the season have just started but hoping that they won't be injured? Only time can tell and as far as I can remember, they are really struggling about that because they cannot skip a single season without facing any hurdles.

Giannis today saying he’s going wherever the odds of him winning a championship are the best might as well have been a goodbye to Milwaukee.
He already gave a sign and it will be the Milwaukee Bucks call whether they will take that lightly or not but if they cannot make this season any interesting, they better be ready when Giannis will be forcing his way.

Looks like the cracks rare starting to form in New Orleans. Brandon Ingram has said that he has no plans to sign an extension this year and after the season will start evaluating his options. Basically, he’s not going to wait around to see how the Zion experiment goes. I don’t blame him since I think Zion wants out as well.

Neither the Pelicans management nor Ingram can rely on Zion because of his injury-prone nature. So it's quite possible that Ingram is tired of being on a team that doesn't improve its roster and can't make significant progress in the playoffs.
I wonder if Ingram will stay with the Pelicans for 2 more seasons because his current contract will expire only after the 24/25 season or request a trade next offseason.

How does it be like that when they already messed up every time also they seem like getting rust compared to the Phoenix Suns who acquired many more star players to bring them to another championship game. Maybe it is because the Boston Celtics don't have much competition in the East because the Nuggets and Lakers are in the West. that's what they are counting here.

We never know, but it's too early for that and seems that they are just providing this kind of prediction to hype the team as early as now. Maybe the competition in the east is different from the west.

Super teams mostly around the west, which are composed of well-known teams and stars that are playing from this
side, while there is also good competition in the east, but most of the time they are just facing common rivals
and compete with each repeatedly.

It's not the Boston Celtics who are the top favorites to win the championship next season, but the Denver Nuggets. However, the odds are very close. You can check the details in the following link:

https://www.vegasinsider.com/nba/odds/futures/

The top three teams are:

Denver Nuggets
Boston Celtics
Phoenix Suns

Matter of time with inflgram but at this point they don't look like they have any direction I'd leave too before he ends up like Dame in the late part of his career with the team never really putting the right pieces in place.  As is they can't compete at a high level.  This is Zions make it or break it year.  On the court he is incredible but that's the issue he is never there.  Shame that body can't hold up in the nba

I guess many bettors sees the acquisition of Porzingis a good thing for the team since they now have a big three of Brown, Tatum, and now Porzingis.

TBH, it's quite surprising that the Celtics has been the favorites of some bettors to win the title where in fact, they always get defeated. Well, they're just one series win away 2 seasons ago when they reached the NBA finals, and 1 win away from clinching the NBA Finals last season if only they didn't lost to the Miami Heat. Without Grant Williams, and Marcus Smart, the defense of the team surely will drop, so I don't know how Coach Mazulla will do something about this. I just also hope that Porzingis will not get injured, and will sit for a long time in the regular season. The Celtics are tied with the Nuggets to win the title currently.

The Suns are 4th, currently tied with the Bucks to win while my team, the Warriors are 6th with +1400. I don't want to get biased, but why not many people are rooting the Warriors to win. I mean they have the greatest shooter, and arguably one of the best Point Guards of all time as well. Maybe the history of CP3 is one reason, but I'll bet for them still to win. As for the Suns, the acquisition of Beal really made them one of the favorites to win the title as well.

Looks like the cracks rare starting to form in New Orleans. Brandon Ingram has said that he has no plans to sign an extension this year and after the season will start evaluating his options. The once I called the "Dark Horse" team last season are now crumbling.
Well, I can't blame Ingram as well because he waited how many years for Zion to be healthy, but he can't get himself healthy. Ingram is a great asset for the Pelicans, and a great shooter as well. If he will try to find another team next season, for sure many teams will be interested in him. He just needs to play like how he played last season, and many teams who are in need of a shooting guard will definitely try to get him.

As for Zion, he still has this upcoming season to redeem himself or else, he will get traded. On the other hand, being traded sometimes is a good thing for that player.

The NEW PLAYER PARTICIPATION POLICY has been approved and official.
https://pr.nba.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/46/2023/09/NBA-Player-Participation-Policy.pdf

It looks like they have everything covered including independent medical reviews in case some teams attempts reporting fake injuries for their players.

There are plenty of reasons or qualifications to get approval for not playing but what I find most interesting is their policy on back-to-back games for star players.
Quote
2. Pre-Approved Back-to-Back Restriction: If, due to the reasons described below, a star player is unable to play in back-to-back games.

a. League-Approved Restriction for Team-Designated Back-to-Backs League approval for this restriction would be based on:
i. Age (35+ years old on opening night – October 24, 2023); or
ii. Career workload (>34,000 Regular Season + Playoff minutes or >1,000 Regular Season + Playoff games played).
News article sources say there are seven players that qualify for the above exceptions namely LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Chris Paul, James Harden, DeMar DeRozan and Mike Conley.

You know what the interesting thing is? I feel like if USA brings in that amazing squad, they will not be able to beat everyone with 40 points. I get that they are going to be fine, but I do not think that it will be all that simple. Lebron is older, other nations do have players who he will not be able to guard that well as well.

I think it's quite important to remember that because we are talking about a situation where it is not going to be that easy for them to score. So all in all I believe that we are not going to get that much of a good result, maybe they will get the gold medal again but not as easily as people think it will be. I feel like this is different from the redeem team period, basketball has improved.
Obviously the 10 players we see are or were great players in the NBA at 1 point in their careers, but like you said Lebron is older. Not only Lebron is older , but KD is getting older, dame very old, Kyrie old, and Draymond old. They are still valuable players on their respective teams, but youth is going to wear these old guys out.

If the US sends to Paris a lineup full of mid-30s players then it might end up in a disaster. But I guess it'll depend on the outcome of the playoffs which players are available after a grueling tough season.

Lebron James is the one calling now to join him at the Paris Olympics. It's a bit odd since he's never been in the US team in the last two Olympics which were led by Kevin Durant. Also, Jason Tatum was the second-best scorer after KD in the last Tokyo Olympics. So it's like Tatum (unless he is not playing in Paris) will be sitting on the bench to accommodate Lebron in the starting line-up.

Instead of naming their line-up as a "Redeem Team 2.0", might as well name them in advance as the exact opposite of it because sending a full roster who already on their mid 30s will not end up good. Sure there will be some hype because the names is a blockbuster hit but they cannot live up to their name specially if they will be given a less time to prepare.

Plus, it will be more intense specially if Serbia will call up Nikola Jokic to play with them. We know that they are already a dangerous team and adding Jokic to it will make them deadly as they can be.

Those players in thier 30's that would play on Team USA are still far better than the vast majority of players around the world.  Not to mention they are absolutely significantly better than players on teams that aren't even in the NBA.  Saying this will not work out well for Team USA is a misstatement IMO.  Lebron, KD, Steph might be older, but they are still FAR better than most players on the planet.

If the US wants to win the olympics, they can and will.  That will never change.

Agreed.  For a season long strategy to have all older players never works.  But for a 2-3 run, they are significantly better than throwing cam johnson, Josh hart, Bobby Portis, etc out on the court.  It's not even close.  Now the other teams might also but agreed on the talent level.
