Just when it seemed like Durant was going to get the better of this legendary meetup, LeBron came through down the stretch and helped will the Lakers to a victory. This is much less impressive when you know that the Suns had two of their best players out with an injury, but I think it was a great showing. Not to mention the Suns covered the spread.

I thought the Suns had a good chance of winning that game, especially with their strong start. That 4th quarter run by the Lakers was the turning point. For gamblers who bet on the Lakers, the lack of effort to cover the spread can be frustrating. On the flip side, if you were betting against the Lakers, it must have felt like a winning streak as the Lakers struggled in the first 3 quarters to take the lead.

On the other hand, it's amusing how what Lillard showed during the preseason seemed like a gimmick. After a series of dull preseason games, he made an impressive debut with the Bucks, scoring 39 points. It just goes to show that preseason performances don't always reflect regular season performance.

And hats off to the 76ers' resilience! They never give up and consistently make comebacks, even if they fall short by just a point.

In the Lakers first game against the Denver Nuggets, you can see the Lakers playing like they are in a rebuilding process can't see any chemistry. They really need Dennis Schroder. Reaves and Russell are not that consistent, and I can't see any chemistry when these two guys are on the floor. Look at how Dennis Schroder right now carrying the Raptors. But fuck, the Raptors ruined my parlay. Lmao 🤣

ill also pick Lakers since D book & Beal will not play tonight.

A complete turn around for LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers to turn the game on its head, Kevin Durant had 39 points for the Phoenix Suns, but that wasn't enough to help them extend their winning streak to 2 of 2 to start the season.

The Suns couldn't find any bucket for almost all the entirety of the 4th Quarter they could only make 3 points for close to over 10 mins, and Kevin Durant had to take things personal but ended up making some really awful shot decision with the game still very much open, and all tied, he decided to go for an unnecessary 3 point attempt which didn't fall and made the Lakers take charge of the game.

What a great game between the Lakers and Suns. We've seen a vintage LeBron who exceeded his minute restrictions to avoid a back 2 back loses. Durant on the other hand almost singled handedly take down the who Lakers squad.
This was almost the same situation against Denver where they were down 18 and LeBron helped the team bring them closer to just 3 and then he sits back and the lead went back to double digit again. This time, LeBron played every minute in the 4th to secure the W as he scored 6 consecutive points to take them at a comfortable position.
Legendary performances by both Durant and LeBron though. Hoping to see more of these match up because LeBron in his 21 years has still have a lot left in his tank.

Yeah that was a great game.
Going in the 4th down 12 points is a tough task against any team, but against a KD lead team it's even harder.
They showed some heart, also the atmosphere might have played a big role. The arena was exploding when they made their run in the 4th, that's what we like to see.

Lebron really is scary. Considering his age it's still amazing what he can push himself to late in a game.

Sure is nice to have the NBA back!

What a debut game by Dame Lillard, and if I'm not mistaken, he has now own the record in Bucks history for most points in a debut game. He puts in a show with 39 big points, And Giannis with 23 points.

But you have to give up to the 76ers as well, without Harden they almost steal this one for the home court of the Bucks. But in the last 4 minutes Dame took over the game, perfect in free throws and then his beyond the arc attempts. Not sure what they stick with Oubre guarding him though, I mean Lillard is just going around circles with Kelly and then made those 3's.

I cant wait to see Lillard and Giannis, its gonna be the start of one of the most prolific duo in NBA history if they can match and have good chemistry.

In other things, yesterday it was not so good start for the young star of Spurs, i think he need to catch the NBA pace.

So far so good for both of them but the 76ers still not giving up easily in this game, it looks like a preview of the NBA playoffs in these two teams will dominate the Eastern Conference once again. I never thought BJ Tucker and Patrick Beverley were on the same team now, The 76ers just got themselves some real contributing defensive players this time no wonder the Bucks cannot stretch their leads further more before the 3rd quarter. now that the 76ers lead because of their high-class defense, no wonder they don't need James Harden in this away game because they can take any opponent with this team right now.

Most prolific is debatable but I get what you are saying.  Dame never really got to play co.sistently with so.eone of giannis's ability so let's see what he has left to give us.  Super excited to watch tonight's game hopefully it's not overshadowed by Harden and his antics.

Lillard hasn't shown much during the  preseason, and what he has shown is inaccurate shooting, especially from beyond the arc. Surprisingly, he had a good percentage in that area during his time with the Blazers. Well, let's see tonight if he'll have an impressive game in his debut in a Bucks uniform. I'm as excited as you are and can't wait to see how he performs. I'm also betting on the home team with the high spread.

Can Embiid carry the team on his shoulder and beat the new combo or Giannis + Lillard?

It's good game that we are seeing right now, The Sixers is up by 2 as I write this message. Lillard had like 25 points already, but Maxey has a good game as well with 26 points. So they didn't missed Harden in today's game.

So let's see if they can hold the Sixers in their home court. The atmosphere is very different, it's not like a season opener, but the fans are electrifying and maybe very excited for Dame's first game.

I would say Wemby could had a much better first game if he didn't get into foul trouble. That dude played just 23 minutes and he still scored 15 points, it was a little disappointing that he had only 5 rebounds, with that size you would expect him to crash the boards but he is looking to fast break more often than grab the board, however his scoring was already elite at his first game. If he didn't get into foul trouble and played around 35 minutes, I bet he would have scored closer to 30 points in his first game ever, not a bad debut. I bet that we are going to see him average 25 points or so this season, which is of course a little bit thanks to spurs not having any other clear option, but that's good.

I missed this format because this is how I watched them when I was growing up and it was really not that much of a difference because those other star players when they are with the other stars from the other teams, always become super team that could beat anybody because of how great they play when they are with some high rating players. that's why they are also not that easy to predict because they can really beat each other without a doubt. East vs West in this era will be much more fun than the last format they used.

It's worth noting that the All-Star match has always been primarily a show rather than a regular game. I also used to enjoy watching All-Star Weekend, but since the 9/10 season, this event has become more and more boring every year. These are just my personal feelings, and I don't claim to be true. However, I think there are probably a lot of fans who have also lost interest in the All-Star Weekend, and that explains why the NBA has been experimenting with the format of this event in recent seasons.

It became boring since there's no real action and its like they are lazy to defend their opponents that's why I don't get excited when they announce that to happen since for me its more better to watch the regular season games than watching those boring all star action. But since they are now going back with East and West format maybe we can see some changes then see if they can play some good basketball since if nothing change then still this might be just another boring presentation.

If some say its just a exhibition match and they need to protect theirselves from injury, well I get that point but since they are playing basketball they should give their audience some quality show since this is what we are paying for to see a quality game that could entertain us.

I'm sure many of you, like myself, miss the old format, and I'm really excited that the NBA is working to make it more attractive to the fans. Going back to the classic East vs. West setup, rather than the current format with team captains drafting players, truly brings back the essence of the All-Star game. It's a lot more reminiscent of the Finals where the best from the East and the West compete for the trophy. I have to say, I think it's a fantastic change.

Yeah, hoping that it will be considered and remove that format which allows the team captain to pick his squad, let the voice of the fans
bring the players in and give them the honor of representing their respective team.

I missed the way players compete with pride and not just a shooting competition against those stars who are known to be an offensive arsenal.

Let see if how it works and how the league facilitators will adjust if ever they will consider bringing back the old format of east against the west.

A couple of great games on today. First you have the 76ers against the Bucks. I think Damian Lillard and Giannis will be too much for the Soxers to deal with… Then you have the Lakers and Suns. I’m expecting the Suns to go 2-0 while the Lakers fall to 0-2. This will be a good test for the Suns though, as their new big man gets to go toe to toe with Anthony Davis.

Pretty excited for the Lakers and Suns game. It would be a test for the both team. It looks like the Lakers have improved their roster so does the Phoenix Suns. Davis has a bad season opener as he struggled in the 2nd half against Denver. They could have pulled that one off if Davis stepped up when LeBron bring them closer to within 3 and then sit out due to minute restrictions. I'm looking at if Ham will make an adjustments base on the first game outcome.

Ohh too bad, I just read the news, Booker and Beal will be out against the Lakers.

Looking at few games that has been played, I have to say not much has changed. Wemby got into foul trouble and didn't play all that well if you ask me, at 7'5 feet tall him getting 5 rebounds is a disgrace, dude plays like a guard. I mean I get it, if you have a player that is 7'5 tall and still can dribble and shoot that's great, but that doesn't mean that it's all he has to do, he should be doing a lot more, he has to be a lot more inside. I am not saying body people and finish over them, he is too skinny for that but at least give it a try man.

In the end, NBA has started and lets see if anything has changed. I believe that we are not going to see anything too major changes from last season and just a repeat basically. Hopefully Bucks could give people some run for their money and could make some changes but that doesn't mean that he is going to end up with anything that would be too different, it could be quite different on the long course of things.

Looking forward to Lillard's debut with the Bucks..... I'm hoping he'll step up and perform better than what we saw during the preseason. With Giannis having recently signed a contract extension, it's safe to assume he'll be giving it his all and aiming for a convincing win in this game. It's a bit of a setback for the 76ers not having Harden in the lineup.

Then you have the Lakers and Suns. I’m expecting the Suns to go 2-0 while the Lakers fall to 0-2. This will be a good test for the Suns though, as their new big man gets to go toe to toe with Anthony Davis.

I've got some doubts about this one. In their first game, they were missing Beal, and now it looks like Booker might not play as he's been reported as "doubtful" due to "left foot soreness."

Full report.
