Nuggets in 5! That was my original thought. Nuggets finished all series in their conference pretty fast. The expectation was Bucks, Celtics or Sixers playing in the Finals but Heat made one of the biggest surprises in history. They could only win one game though. If other teams had been here we might watch a longer series. That doesn't matter anymore. Nuggets got the well deserved first title.
Predicted the same as well. I thought it will going to be 6 games when the Nuggets got their first home loss in Game 2, but they came back with 2 straight road wins, and eventually winning the title. I guess it's pretty obvious that the Nuggets have the upper hand here in terms of stats, and players as well. Anyway, a well deserve title for the Nuggets (and it's their first time in the history of the franchise), and a well deserve Finals MVP for Jokic as well. Now he can go back to Serbia now, and spend his time with his family.
Miami Heat deserves some praise, they are underrated in the whole playoffs but they proved them wrong.
The Denver Nuggets also deserve the praise especially Nikola Jokic, the media keeps on bashing him as an overrated player and there was even a time he was called a "stat padder" because of the amount of triple-doubles that he recorded. That's not right, they cannot just accept he is a real genius.
Who expected that the Heat team will reach the NBA Finals?
TBH, when I saw that they will face the Bucks in the first round, I already predicted that the Bucks will sweep them, but I was wrong. When analysts predicted that the Heat only have 3% chance of winning against the Celtics, they proved them wrong. Kudos to the whole Heat team. I wonder what will be their moves next season. They will give better contract to their undrafted players? They will trade Lowry? They will get Westbrook? Will they trade Butler after having a bad NBA Finals series? The Heat will be the one that I will be looking for this off-season, because we might see them making some big trades.
