I think AD can neutralize Jokic better than any of the remaining centers and it will be a replay of the results of the bubble series.

If we compare the stats of Davis and Jokic, we can notice that Davis' strength is his defense in the paint and ability to grab rebounds well, while Jokic's strength is his ability to adapt and be a versatile player on the court. So it should be interesting to see which one of these two guys will dominate in the paint, but I think Davis is unlikely to be able to completely neutralize Jokic.

Curry is very good these games. What strikes me about the games of the Golden State Warriors is that the scores vary enormously. If you win the first match by 25 points, it is almost impossible to imagine that you will lose the next match, for example? Or is it mainly a lot of snapshots in basketball and that it is often 50-50 games that can go wrong, for example? I think Stephen Curry is a real phenomenon. He is so fast with and without the ball.
What? They got beaten badly by Lakers on the next match even they were up by more than 25 points on both Game 2 and 5. Steph Curry is always consistent but that’s not enough to win the game if the rest of your team mates is performing well. Poole and Thompson stats is very awful against the Lakers when they are needed the most.

I think Warriors might reshuffle again on next season since they sacrifice a lot of bench players just to maintain the original line-up plus Wiggins.

I honestly believe that having Stephen Curry is probably a bad thing for the team right now. Because the team seems to be depending on Stephen Curry too much at the moment. And that is actually the thing holding them back in my opinion. They are expecting a certain level of performance from Stephen Curry. That is actually probably the thing which is also making the players feel relaxed.

The Warriors will have to do something about it. Otherwise, this situation is not going to change. It doesn't matter how good Stephen Curry is, he is not going to be able to successfully carry the team in all the matches.
The Warriors are going to look very different next year. Draymond wants a max extension as does Klay. The team isn't going to trade Steph period, and the cannot afford 2 max extensions with a massive luxury tax hit.

I look for them to trade Draymond and maybe Poole or Wiggins and open up some rook to max out Klay Thompson. Steph will likely retire a Warrior, he is 35 now and only has a few years left at most.

Anything can happen in basketball, a very weak team can win a game just by playing well, or the best team can lose the game because they played poorly that day.
Curry is of course a very good basketball player and I respect him. But the playoff series is something very different, just playing well may not be enough. We saw that in this series as well, even if they are good, they can lose the series Smiley

Competitions are often exciting. Difference in number of points also varies a lot. I can remember a game this week in which only 160 points were scored. That is of course very little. In addition, a team then scored 13 points in the 4th quarter. Teams are very dependent on certain players in a team, perhaps even more than in football for example. Basketball players are also paid sky-high salaries every week, I think it's much higher than most football clubs. Also has to do with the fact that Basketball is the number 1 sport in the USA. That's where the most commerce and the most money is.

I dont believe such idea because if they were really that too dependent then they cant really just able to win up multiple nba championship, it wont really be that a solid reasoning about Curry is carrying up the team all this time. Yes, its partly true that they might really be that feel that relaxed but you could notable be able to see on what other members been doing or into their specific role.

It is really just that it turns out that they've been had able to face up a team which successfuly be able to isolate their three point kind of game and been had been dominated under the basket
because of Davis. We arent that blind on how Lakers did successfully able to stop them.
Well, there's still another season and its impossible that they cant really be able to see and wont really be making out some adjustments for the next one. This is really just like on what Lakers
had experienced in past season which they didnt able to get through playoffs.

Just a few hours and we will witness the Eastern Conference Semifinals - Game 7 between the Boston Celtics vs the Philadelphia 76ers! Which team do you think will step up their game?

Breaking News: Ja Morant is now trending on Twitter again because he was seen flexing a gun on his Instragram Live.

Ja Morant is trying to be a rapper rather than a NBA player. Shannon Sharpe was right in his claim that Ja was "hustling backwards."
Oh crap, not again. Let's wait for the confirmation if it's a real gun or not.

But assuming it is. The question of "Why?" will come out.
Why does he always bring a gun? Is America not that safe anymore? Are they back to being the Wild Wild West? Is he on drugs or did some screws come out? A lot of money is at stake in his name and he will be wasting it if ever the NBA decides to cut him from being a player due to this problem.
I want to hear what Jalen Rose will say about this. His last statement for Ja Morant and his father was an eye-opener not just for them but for all the players who are in the same state as him. But this is strike two and he should've learned his lesson from strike one. Also, his strike one is not like a flagrant foul in NBA but more of painting black on his image that is being idolized by kids.

We will see where this will go.

Well seems like Ja didn't learn from his suspension. Maybe he enjoyed the time off from basketball.

Wouldn't surprise if this time it will be a real suspension.
What are these people thinking anyway. Pretending to be a gangster even though he grew up in a normal family at a normal school and everything. Why does he want to be something he is not. He has everything anybody can wish for but still causes problems like this.

The Grizzlies will be the villain for years to come I guess.  Grin

The Grizzlies just suspended him again for the video. What an idiot. Ja won’t be happy until he loses all his endorsements and gets murdered by someone who isn’t larping as a gangsta. It’s so weird how they can’t get this suburban private school kid to stop acting like he’s Nino Brown. This next generation is so weird. They do it all for the gram.
Last time the NBA commissioner had to step in and lengthen the suspension. I think this time Ja is looking at a minimum 1 month. The NBA is not going to play a round with him and the wanna be thug image he is portraying. It wouldn't shock me if he is suspended for the whole next season and loses all endorsements like you alluded to.

Honestly since this is a for profit business and Ja is one of the big tickets across the league it will be a slap on the wrist.  A one month suspension in November is nothing.  If this was a nobody the team would have dropped them already but like I said it's ja, at a certain point you almost have an iron curtain around you.  Dude is clueless though.  Has the world by the hands and is willing to risk it to be "the man" around his buddies lol.  Classic.

I absolutely love seeing Steph Curry lose, especially at this point in time where you can tell the whole teams needs blown up.  Steve Kurr came out and said that this team was not a championship team, which was evident from earl on in the season.  Curry is still a super star, but Klay and Draymond seem to have fallen off a cliff in a big way.

I was pulling for the Lakers, and can't wait to see this next matchup versus the Nuggets, though I was really hoping to see a Lebron vs Durant showdown.

If you win the first match by 25 points, it is almost impossible to imagine that you will lose the next match, for example?

Changed that mindset, mate. Even if we talk about a truly underdog team here, which is far worst to Los Angeles Lakers, against the Golden State Warriors, not that it's impossible to bounce back next game coming from a big deficit lose. First of all, that underdog team won't make it to the playoffs, surviving the play-in tournament, if they are not that good.

Golden State Warriors is really not performing well compare to their usual this season, especially at road games. They even almost break the record of the longest losing streak in road games this season. But that's not the reason why they lose the series against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Lakers won the series not because the Warriors are not playing like a defending champion but instead, they able to show good adjustment every other game. Aside from that, it's not just the Lakers' core but most of their support role players too stepped up even way back the 1st Round of the playoffs and that makes the team even more tougher in their offensive and defensive ends.

I thought Ja Morant got some help this time because he said it himself before that he will take what happened to him seriously for him to be a better version, but what happened is the better version is his worse. Seriously though, this kid should be surrounded with people that have real goals to help him achieve his full potential in the court and not being a gangsta when they aren't.

Remember that a real gangsta like Damian Lillard is not even bragging it, he knows what's the true meaning of it unlike Ja here who just wanted to be the next Ja Wick, but the worse version.

Suns fire head coach Monty Williams after NBA playoffs elimination
https://sports.yahoo.com/suns-fire-head-coach-monty-williams-after-nba-playoffs-elimination-013546547.html
Quote
The Suns fired Williams on Saturday, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, two days after their elimination by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals. That disappointing exit left the Suns with some uncomfortable questions, one of which has now been answered.

I said this to my friends after Game 6 ended on Friday against the Denver Nuggets. Coach Monty will be fired. No questions. And it did happen.
It's too obvious because the team sacrificed two good players Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson in exchange for Kevin Durant and TJ Warren, so they will be expecting a better ending than being eliminated in the semis. They want a ring, a championship but Coach Monty cannot provide so he will be gone.

But rumors tell this might not be the end for him.
Milwaukee Bucks needs a new Coach and he might be one of the candidates with Kenny Atkinson, and Nick Nurse. Although I would like to see if the Bucks will try to make history and hire Becky Hammon and earn the first woman to coach an NBA team.

This is what? The 4th coach down? Correct me if I am wrong.
New owners typically want results. Unfortunately, the Suns had injuries at the wrong time. Monty will find another job pretty quick, but he should have never been let go.

This is pretty much like what happened to the Milwaukee Bucks where they also fired their head coach, Mike Budenholzer. It's not that the team got a worse rating this season but they are just looking for someone who will take the blame, as we can see, these coaches that has been fired recently is not giving any statements on why they were fired because I believe they were paid to take the fall. Simple as that.

But I don't think Steve Kerr will follow suit to these trend because he just gave the franchise a chip last season, it will be unreasonable if he will be kicked just because they were defeated this time against the overrated Lakers.

@danherbias07, America is actually not safe for people. Anyone can own a gun. That gives anyone a chance to shoot someone that they don't like and say it was for self-defense. But that is for the average job living in America. As a basketball player, Ja Morant is already a part of the top one percent. So him having security or bodyguards already makes his life a lot safer. He probably needed some "extra extra" security I guess  Grin

@AHOYBRAUSE, I don't understand why these people want to portray themselves as gangsters. I am quite sure that they have not even met any real gangsters. Probably it's a status thing among the black community.

After being blown out by more than 25+ points in 2 consecutive closeout games, I'm pretty sure why the Suns fired him.
Yes he's been a coach of the year a few years ago, and has been in the playoffs ever since he coached the team, but that don't matter if you lost 2 times by 25+ points in the playoffs.

Some notable coaches this season, and in the past has been fired. Coach Nick Nurse who gave the Raptors their first title has been fired. Coach Vogel who gave their title back in the bubble has been fired. Coach Budenholzer who gave the Bucks their first title got fired, and now Coach Monty Williams who has been COY twice has been fired as well. Well like you said, the Suns had injuries, and let's face the fact that the Suns have the worst bench players out of the playoff teams right now, and it's pretty obvious because Durant and Booker played more than 40 minutes in most of their game. If they are having a bad night (like what happened in Game 6), no one can step up with the team offensively.

As for Coach Monty Williams never been let go, we know that the Suns owner Matt Ishbia is hungry of winning, and he can let go anything in the team. No one is safe from them. The Suns will build a team around Booker, and Durant, so chances of Ayton and CP3 being trade might be high if it will help the team to win that title. I'm not surprised either to see Coach Monty Williams letting go after his performance in the playoffs in the last 2 seasons. Now the question is who will replace him as the new Suns coach. TBH, I always wanted Coach Mike D'Antoni to coach again in the NBA because of his offensive mindset.

Maybe they are expecting more as they traded and got KD. But Monty did try his best, but I think him and Ayton has issues, I still remember last season wherein he and Ayton has somewhat not understanding each other.

But as what we have seen, Ayton got injured and that's it, the chances of the Suns to overcome Jokic went out of the window. I think Ayton will be traded, I have a feeling that with the way he show again this playoff, the Suns management might have seen the last straw and probably get a new set of center for the Suns.

If they will keep Booker, KD and CP3, they needed to have a good strong and reliable center.

Ayton way back when they reached the finals was really expected to bring that position filled but with how he played for the past two years I'm also on that same thoughts that the Suns management will trade him and will aim a reliable big man to help the trio of KD, Booker and CP3, still have a good chance next season if they will start working it out with the new head coach that they'll going to work with.
