They really change a lot when their rooster changed, it seems their trades are pretty much effective because they overhaul their rooster and get a good supporting cast to help them on their important run to reach their target. Its good to see them to reach on playoffs since this current rooster is now what we can say a title contender compare before.

Now the curse is on the Clippers because they have Westbrook. Two consecutive losses in overtime - that hurts. I guess the most important thing is the plays in the dying minutes; it looks like they are struggling in those moments. They should improve in that area, otherwise their ranking will slide down.
Curse? On what part? 2 consecutive losses only and you are saying Westbrook is a curse to the team already.

Maybe you just use the wrong words to it, but saying that Westbrook is the curse of the team is a irrelevant. I mean he's performing good on his last 2 games. Don't blame solely to him that's why they lost. On the game against the Kings, fatigue got them that's why they lost. In this game against the Nuggets, the Nuggets are simply a better team than them and knowing that they played on their home court where the Nuggets are the best on the home, they already have a high chance of losing.

I think now is the time to not blame Westbrook solely for the losing of the Clippers. After all, it's a team sport, and it's everyone's fault if they losses.

Congrats go to Dame on his career night with one of the highest single game scoring performances in NBA history. The craziest thing about the story though is how the NBA pulled a vial of his blood immediately following the game for blood testing. Dame said it absolutely killed one of the greatest moments of his career and was the first time he ever had to give blood for a PED test.
It's DAME time!!!!!!

Lillard is the oldest player in NBA history to score 70+ points, and the 8th player in NBA history to score 70+ points. It's just unfortunate that he's on a team where there is little to no chance of playing into the playoffs. His loyalty towards the Blazers is at it's highest.

Hey! C'mon!
Westbrook is not playing during the overtime against the Nuggets. It was just a competitive game and Jokic, Murray, and Michael Porter Jr. instantly switched on their monster type of game while for the Clippers, it was just Kawhi Leonard who is answering.
Jokic especially, who can stop that guy? 99th career triple-double, 23rd season triple-double. That last assists for a Bruce Brown alley-oop dunk put the dagger to end the game.
Michael Porter Jr. is growing stronger, now he is attacking the paint too which will make him a scary player with lots of options to score

People have to realize that the Nuggets lost to Memphis because they had a bad shooting night. Now, they beat the Clippers, and this is how they play. They trust each other, and that's why they are very dangerous as a team. The good thing about the Nuggets is that they have reliable players inside and outside, unlike the Clippers, who do not have a dominant center like Jokic.

Jokic is a back-to-back MVP, and no one can stop him except Giannis.  Grin

So let's see if James can pull this one out again in history for him.

A big achievement this season for the Los Angeles Lakers is being made with that comeback win. According to the current season record, teams are 0-138 this season when trailing by 27+ points. Not just because of Lebron but Anthony Davis and their best role players and teammates do a great job.

However, that achievement will surely much make sense to celebrate if they will keep establishing more wins as they badly need it to even make it to the play-in tournament which is for now, still need a tough work to make it happened.

Well, it seems that the Lakers carved its name again into the history books and proved that their team can still be worth the trust even if it's already down by 27 points. That gap was really hard to comeback especially in this case that the gap ballooned that much in the 2nd half, it was sure hard for the Lakers but they still managed to do so. It was a team effort after all and not just LeBron James alone, now they're on their 3rd winning streak but the next five games will be much tougher for them.

That's a good sign that the Lakers have improved after that trade. They beat a good team, the Dallas Mavericks, so there's no reason they can't win against other tough teams. They are sharing the ball well, and LeBron does not have to carry his team; he just has to play his normal game. There's not much pressure on him, but they still win games because they follow the system.

They really change a lot when their rooster changed, it seems their trades are pretty much effective because they overhaul their rooster and get a good supporting cast to help them on their important run to reach their target. Yeah, the new roster knows how to play defense and they are not afraid now to take the shot unlike before they are waiting for LeBron
to take charge and he mostly declaring the game.

We have seen a game play today. They are rotating and finding the open man, but for sure, the big difference is when you have a good
defense, they manage to give a hard time with Luka, not to allow him to make an easy basket.

They are now close to reach the top 10 spots, almost reaching the last spot for the Play in, there are games to win which are really important
for them now.

Atlanta Hawks - Brooklyn Nets

I'm watching this game on stake.com and it's being a very balanced game, with the Hawks having a little advantage, at this rate the Hawks can win this game by a small difference in points, and the nets need to stay focused and calm and avoid making mistakes, every time they are only 2 points apart or even with the same points as the Hawks they start to make mistakes and the Hawks manage to stay in a 5 point advantage, it has been like this in every game and I am not seeing changes, so I see the Hawks winning this game but for a small difference in points, I'm waiting for the odds to increase so I can take the risk of betting on the Hawks to win the game

It's gonna be a close game, but I will also agree with you that the Hawks has a good chance to win this game on their homecourt.

2 minutes to go and they are leading by 4, but to increased the odds though, the Nets will have to comeback and tie or even take the lead for that odds swing. The good thing with the Nets right now is that it has balance scoring, from Bridges, to Dinwiddie to Cam Thomas to Cam Johnson.

New set of players that brings more from the Durant trade.

Edit: Trae Young with a difficult buzzer beater, Spencer behind him and almost block the shot.

in the last minutes of the game if the nets hadn't made many mistakes they would have won the game, but as I said before for some reason whenever they got closer to the hawks and the difference in points was reduced to 2 points the nets would do something stupid that it gave the possibility to the hawks to increase the difference of points to 5, in the last minutes until the hawks reached 7 points of advantage, I really thought that the game would end with a big difference of points with the guaranteed victory of the hawks, but the nets again they found a way to reduce that point difference to 2 points, my mistake was not having bet on hawks when they had the same point and the odd for hawks to win was @2.00, I would have made a good profit, it didn't take many minutes for the odd to drop a lot, it made me irritated, I watched the whole game waiting to have the same opportunity again

Mavericks 108 - 111 Lakers

in the first period we were massacred, the lackers insisted on the 3-point launches that only failed, Kyrie Irving from the Mavericks was our biggest nightmare, in the second period we lost again, but it was only a defeat with a difference of 2 points, in the third period recovered and we left with a comfortable victory and in the fourth period it was very disputed, but we managed to win

It will be the biggest comeback and no team has made it when down 27 points or more.

Is this in general or just only on the Lakers' game history?

This season, Lakers 2-5 now, when trailing 25 points or more. They were also down 25 against the Portland Trailblazers.

And biggest in James comeback in James career.

I agree with what has been said on AD, he seems to be responding on what James said previously that as a team they need to perform very well. And with the likes of Vanderbilt, very resilient in defense and offense too could have a positive impact to Davis.

it was a great game!
The difference that AD makes in the Lakers is totally clear, together with LeBron, I believe that one complements the other, I almost forget, but lately, Schroder has been helping the Lakers in some games.

They've been doing good and it's really nice to see them winning against a strong team like the Mavs despite their struggles in the first half, they managed to fix it and ended up winning the game. I really hope to see more of these kinds of play by the Lakers and since Westbrook is out, they have been winning much more than they have him on the team. Now they really need to work harder and better to take care of their physical health because they are a few games away to steal that number 10 spot which might be their ticket to convert it for a playoff spot.

Having a healthy AD and a competitive, hard work from LeBron, the chance of winning games against a strong team is possible. We see good adjustment with all the players and they are focusing on both the offense and defense.

Good to see that the coaching staff are really working on how to balance players that will play alongside
with AD and LeBron, they all helping these two superstars, nice win against the home team very close
and it's really a team effort that provides them the good outcome.

I quickly looked at the stats/statistics - Mavs vs Lakers game...
The Mavericks were very lucky, as the Lakers only had a 17.6% success on 3 point shoot, while the Mavs had 40.8%

Oh, by the way, I liked Kyrie Irving's performance in this game, he scored 21 points, 11 rebounds and he played 38 minutes in that game!

What a great game in Philly!
Jayson Tatum made the last shot before the time expires and won the game. Joel Embiid lacked a little bit more time for the last prayer to be counted.
I was shocked it went in and I even thought he did make it before the buzzer sounded but as the referee checked, it's a "no basket". It could've been better if it went to overtime.  Cheesy

That was a crazy game. It feels like it was a Conference Finals preview. I like how both teams play this season. Philly played strong until last period but when things get more serious Celtics showed they are more experienced and better generally. That ending was also great. Tatum played one of his worst games but still hit that buzzer beater. If Embiid was faster in the last ball we could've seen overtime. Nobody expected that shot to go in. I'm very excited about play-offs especially in the Eastern Conference this year.
Watching it again, Smart and White are switching on who will inbound the ball, I think that was a pretty good strategy to also confuse the 76ers' defense. It ended with Smart making the play for Tatum. Melton was wrong at not looking at where the ball will come, he is too focused on Tatum and in the end giving him enough space for a three.

They actually won. One of the biggest come back indeed.
Mavericks had a hard time looking for a shot. Vanderbilt giving Doncic a hard time shooting the ball, he is using his long arm span and his big body to make Luka miss most of his shots or just close the window for a pass.
Vanderbilt contributing big for their defense while AD is doing the rest for their offense. Mavs should start learning more screen and rolls.

This is what happens when your team focuses more on offense that you are lacking of defense.

They got the lead to as high as 27 points in the 2nd quarter, but on the 2nd half, turnovers, bad defense, bad rotation, too many and-ones, etc. The Mavericks can't stop that Lebron-AD duo out there. Well, they really are unstoppable especially Davis "when healthy". What's good about the new Lakers is that, both Lebron and AD already have enough support for their role players in terms of both defense and offense. Vanderbilt got a double-double 15 pts and 17 reb while Schroeder got 16 points. Some of their role players didn't score that much, but who cares. They just made a history against one of the worst defensive teams right now in the league.

I agree with what you said though that the Lakers are still a few games away from clinching at least the play-in spot so this win is nothing to them or at least it's not what they're focusing on. They're more focused on the remaining games and their adjustments that they will be making.

That atlanta hawks game Finnish was crazy.  They were up 8 with a minute to go and Nets came all the way back to tie the game with a 3 only to have trey hit a 12 footer with .1 seconds left on the click lol.  I thought it was going to get blocked no clue how he got that ball off with 2 defenders dropped on him.  Good for me, the Knicks are now tied with the Nets for 5th place.  Knicks need a big win tomorrow night against the Celtics.

Is this in general or just only on the Lakers' game history?

As far as I remember and following Dallas Mavericks for a long since then, they already blew a 30-point lead against Toronto Raptors before and that was big news as that was really embarrassing. Not sure about the exact year but that was during the season when Kristap Porzingis is still on the team and that was from 2019-2022.

Going back on that ongoing game between Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers seems that the Lakers will get the win. Damn what a choke happened to the Mavericks after that comfortable 27-point big lead in the 1st half. Sigh.

EDIT: Nice big bucket for the Mavericks and down now by only a 1-point lead. The Mavericks are still alive with 5 secs remaining.
EDIT 2: Final Score: Mavericks 108 Lakers 111

I think this season, Lakers overcome 27-point deficit to defeat Mavericks, complete biggest comeback in NBA this season.

The new look of the Lakers though, specially Malik Beasley and Vanderbilt who is instrumental in their huge comeback win from the Mavs.

And that chase down block by Lebron against Kyrie Irving is another highlights of the game.

Aside for LeBron and AD being the front man as usual, but the player of the game for tonight was no other than Jared Vanderbilt. His defensive presence changed the momentum of the game in the 2nd half as he gave all his effort to shut down Luka. Those 4 steals was a game changer, all his effort tonight paid off as the Laker as a team step up big in the 4th quarter.

I'm not sure if that was the biggest deficit for a team to comeback, but I don't think it was. Nevertheless, we've just witnessed another epic game after the 2 OT with the Clips and Kings last night.
