Denver Nuggets lost in a blowout at Memphis. Looks like the long rest affected them and they cannot find their outside shots. 0/4 3-pts for KCP which is rare considering he is 45 percent on downtown shots.
Jamal Murray also not doing well with 3/13 FG.
Tillman defended Jokic pretty well which will stop the offensive plays of the Nuggets, good work for him stepping up his game while Adams is out.
No, this is their second game already after the All-Star break. Their first game was against the Cavaliers on the road, and they won that game.

Let us not overreact. Memphis is not a bad team, so it's no surprise that they won via a dominant performance. They can even dominate on the road, so how much more when they are at home. This team is good, but it's not as consistent as the Denver Nuggets, so let's give them credit for their performance in this game. They deserve it.

It's just a bad night for the Nuggets and they were not able to bounce back after the first quarter. Interesting numbers is that they average 31 points in the first quarter alone, but against Memphis, they just scored 20.

So give credit to the Memphis team for their good defense, not just on Murray but held Jokic as well to 15 points and just 3 assist.

This is just one game though for the Nuggets, they are the top team in the West, they can surely bounce back.

What a great game in Philly!
Jayson Tatum made the last shot before the time expires and won the game. Joel Embiid lacked a little bit more time for the last prayer to be counted.
I was shocked it went in and I even thought he did make it before the buzzer sounded but as the referee checked, it's a "no basket". It could've been better if it went to overtime.  Cheesy
They have given us a picture of what could possibly happen if they meet in the playoffs, which is good, especially if they both reach the ECF. Boston was able to take the lead, but the 76ers came back. Unfortunately, that last shot eliminated their effort to come back and win. Anyway, it was a good and very entertaining game that was definitely worth our time.

I really missed that words from Mike Breen. "Puts up a three... BANG!!!!!!" at the final seconds of the game Cheesy. The last time I've heard is was in Game 6 of the NBA Finals between the Celtics and the Warriors last season.

Like you, I was shocked on the sequence of events especially on the final minute of the game. Sixers got a double digit lead on the 3rd quarter then the Celtics made a huge run on the same quarter and got a double digit lead in the 4th then the Sixers made a run as well. On that last shot of Embiid, even him knows it already that it doesn't count even though the fans are kind of shocked and happy. What a thriller game indeed. Cheesy

If that Embiid's shot counted, that would be better than Lowry's half court shot against the Heat back a few years to put it into overtime. Cheesy Anyway, just good game for both teams.

Just a complete blowout indeed.

Jokic, Porter Jr, and Murray only played for 25-26 minutes. They just shut down Jokic and Murray completely on this one. On the other hand, the record is still on for Jokic because the Nuggets are still 22-0 when Jokic has a triple-double.

Finally, Kevin Love has already scored as a Miami Heat player. He scored 13 points in a game against the Hornets, but unfortunately it was in a losing effort. I'm not sure if they are just experimenting with Kevin Love, because giving him huge minutes has resulted in two consecutive losses already. Maybe they will make an adjustment, but I'm not sure how long they will stick with this lineup.

Kevin Love was only a reserve player for the Cavaliers, but now with the Heat, he is a starter. This is a huge difference and I don't know what Coach Spoelstra sees in him.

They've got 2 back to back losses and like what you observe I also not sure what coach Spoelstra is trying, he's giving Love good minutes playing might be possible that he wanted to blend the team togehter.

Jimmy and Tyler is providing them the offense but they also need some good defense to stop
the opponents offensive attacks, things that they needed to adjust to start winning games together.

I was always expected better from Heat since their performance in the bubble but they keep disappointing me and their fans. They can't show their full potential in my opinion, or they are simply not good enough. I will disagree with your point in one aspect, Heat doesn't have so much of a deep squad right now and if one of the key players can't perform well in a game, they usually suffer quite a bit and usually lose.

Besides Butler, Adebayo and Herro they also have Oladipo, Martin, Zeller and Robinson. Bench is full of good players, that looks pretty deep to me. Kevin Love addition was a wise idea and they will reap the fruits of this next games. Kyle Lowry was out because of his knees, that was kinda expected at that age. They don't use Ömer Faruk Yurtseven much but when you check the roster they have decent 11-12 pieces. Naturally expectations were higher for this squad. I believe Heat still has a chance to go up to 6th spot and directly go to play-off.

I know as a knick fan I probably look at the team a little skewd.  But I feel like they can make a push in the playoffs.  They own the second best record on the road in the entire nba.  They can sneak a game or 2 on the road (if they make it) and could possibly win a series.  They would need to avoid the 7/8 slot as that will probably end up matched against the Bucks or Celtics.

Knowing the competition in the Eastern Conference, your New York Knicks can surely make a playoff entry this year. Doesn't seem to have tight competition for the bottom playoffs spot and even in the play-in tournament. However, it would be a hard attempt to end up in a specific position just to avoid strong teams in the first round.

Referring to Celtics, Knicks are 1-1 at them this season and both games are tough. Referring to the Bucks, Knicks are unable to get a win in their 3 meetings this season even though 2 of those games are home-court advantages. Well, what matter is, they will able to secure a playoff spot.

Lakers are certainly looking "better" but at the end of the day they are still nowhere near where they should be. This team has Lebron, and on his last years nevertheless, so they should have been a much better team. They are not even at a position where they were before they acquired Westbrook.

I mean they had KCP, Kuzma, maybe Danny Green wasn't that much great but he had some great days and was awesome on defense, hell Rondo still provided some help, and Caruso was a fire cracker off the bench, that team won a title, maybe not enough to win a title now, but still better than the current roster. They haven't fix anything yet, they were terrible, they are just bad now.

I think the fire and desire by that team to win a championship is present, everyone is contributing both in offense and defense. But when the Lakers let go of that players and only left AD and Lebron, it was a very different team then. Even getting Westbrook didn't help them either and it become worst.

Now it's a much better upgrade, but I still don't think the current roster will be enough to push them into the playoffs. It's kinda late, but if they stay for the whole season next year, it might be a different outcome for them.

Westbrook though, he got a pretty decent stats in the game today even if he's still adjusting to the team. He got 17 points with a 53.8% FG and 1/4 3PA which is 25% beyond the arc. Like as expected, he's just there to open up a spot for the main guys but he's not really restricted to shoot the ball whenever he got an opening.

Overall, he did a great job. The problem with the Clippers is their defense. Imagine, they allowed the Kings to score 176 points in double overtime. I mean, if there was good defense, no way a team would reach even 150 points in two overtimes. I guess they need to carefully look at their defense as that has been their problem so far, in my opinion.

This is actually the future of NBA. We are already familiar with games reaching 130+ points, especially games played by offensive heavy teams. It is just a matter of time before 150 points in 4 quarters are regular scoring.

A really disturbing stats for the Clippers. They have a very high turnover this game, 25. I think it is not very Clippers to make that many turnovers.

The eastern conference is getting a breather with the loss of KD. I don't think Brooklyn can sustain its ranking and will soon get replaced by the other teams.

They are not the team to beat in the East anyway. It is still Boston, the Bucks, and the 76ers. Even with KD and Irving on the lineup, in a playoff series, I will still pick Celtics and Bucks over Brooklyn. The Nets did KD a favor by trading him to the Suns. Now Suns have a bigger advantage over their opponents in the West, at least on paper.

Bucks is going great even without Giannis. They look like a full team, just like the Pistons in '04. When Giannis is out, everybody take responsibility and contribute to the score. Middleton do great in his limited time. We even saw Meyers Leonard after two years. No wonder why Bucks is in second place now. 13 game winning streak is a great success.
Miami Heat isn't playing well based on their roster. I expected more from this team. They could be higher in the East with these star players and deep squad but the results they get don't reflect their value.

Bucks on the other hand plays like a very solid team indeed. It is quite respectable that they managed to play good offensively without Giannis and also keeping the Heat below 100 points. I respect their organization a lot. One might say that they have one of the best GMs at the moment.

The match was a very close one. I really do not understand why a lot of people are so upset. This was a very close match. I believe both teams played really well and the clippers of course could have done better. In this match, Leonard absolutely popped off for the Clippers. Without him, the match was probably not going to be so close anyway. George was also really good. But in the end, it was not enough. Fox and Monk were heroes in this match for the Kings. I believe this loss is going to be bad for the Clippers.

The fact that this a close makes it more trivial for discussion especially for the fans since the Clippers has a lot of opportunities to end the game given with this double OT.  I didn’t watch the game live but seeing a 175 and 176 score points on the NBA scores today makes me intrigued to watch the reply. Everyone gave their best especially Kawhi and Fox to carry their team but at the end of the game there’s only one team that will gonna win.

If I’m not mistaken. This is the first match of Westbrook on Clippers which makes this game very hot for Clippers fan because Westbrook is a very controversial player due to its questionable performance on LA.

The Sacramento Kings got an upper hand when it comes to consistency because the team is not wasting any possession and surely, they would like to sink it all if they could, just like what Malik Monk did but eventually, that's what helped the team rather than losing a possession because of the turnover that was committed mostly by the Clippers. The Kings this season is just like what the Boston Celtics did in the past season, they just rose up suddenly in the rankings and is now spotted in the 3rd seed.
^I am not so much fan on basketball but as I saw it is great to see the Sacramento Kings performing consistently this season and making the most out of their possessions. Limiting turnovers is a key factor in winning games and it is good to see the Kings being mindful of this. It is also impressive that they have risen up in the rankings and are currently in the 3rd seed.
However, it is important to remember that consistency is a long-term effort and the Kings will need to continue playing at a high level throughout the season to maintain their position in the standings. The Boston Celtics' success last season was certainly impressive, but it is important to note that each team's journey and circumstances are unique. The Kings will need to continue working hard and making the most of their opportunities to have sustained success.

Thoughts?  Or am I just being a Homer fan

It was one of the best regular season games ever. The one thing that stuck in my side was the way it ended. Kawhi was wide open to take the last shot for the win but Nicolas Batum decided to hoist it up. Kawhi was visibly upset by the shot and after the game he’d played it seemed clear to everyone he would be the guy taking the shot. The play even appeared to be for him. A terrible ending to an amazing game.

Of course, the Clippers could have played much better in the final seconds of the game. They shouldn't have made the three-pointer at all because they were only down by 1 point, and I think the best thing to do in that case was to just try to score from the paint. In any case, we shouldn't blame Batum for missing the decisive shot because there were only 2.8 seconds left when he got the ball. I mean, even if Batum had passed, Leonard probably wouldn't have had time to throw the ball.

The Clippers vs Kings game has now entered double overtime.

Clippers bettors should be happy now because there's still a chance that the spread will be covered. Good luck, guys! I'm enjoying the game so far. It looks like the Kings are for real, and they are a threat in the West with the way they are playing.

That game was nuts. A shame it didn’t end in regulation. I thought for a minute that Russell Westbrook was going to make the game winning shot but instead he ended up fouling out in double overtime and the Kings managed to go up by a point for the win. That has to be the highest scoring game of the year. Both teams shot insane percentages.
Yeah, it must be a record-breaking total score in the regulation and even in the overtime games. I doubt someone lost their bet for also betting on "over".  Grin Their game was damn exhausting, I never thought there will be another overtime as the Clippers had their good lead until the Sacramento Kings punished them for being careless.
They are persistent, Malik Monk didn't want to give up, he kept on sinking crucial three-pointers and he is the one who still have enough energy to make them. Sabonis was fouled out too.
Westbrook also made crucial shots. PG13 was a monster. Great game even though they lost at home and on WB's debut.
It's not like they didn't play defense, both teams just had a good night.

The Sacramento Kings was really good at taking advantage of any other team's weakness, the Clippers got a good run but suddenly, they became careless of their actions and that was the turning point why the Kings got their first lead in the 2nd half. Other than that, the Kings showed a lot of courage and that they are not threatened just because the Clippers got another additional.

Overall, it was a good game and that is a rare one. Even me got tired of the game even if I'm just watching it, I can't fathom how the players of the respective teams are feeling right now after such a long high scoring game than ended up in a double OT.

What did we just saw just a few minutes ago?
We just watched a game for the ages. Cheesy I mean the league now is focusing more on offense, but in my whole time watching NBA games, it's my first time to see both teams having that high score.

To add to your trivia that you said, this is the first time the Clippers had a double overtime since February 13, 2020. I want the game to go to triple overtime since the Clippers don't have a game where it went to a triple overtime, but as I watch the players, I can feel the fatigue to all of them both physical and mental.

Westbrook got fouled out, but he got 14 assists on that game. That 14 assists is tied for the record for most assists in their debut game with the Clippers. I have nothing to say, but that game is a game for the ages. We will see a game like that after years again.

Yeah, that was one of the most epic games in a while. It's impressive how well the Kings are performing this season since even Leonard's 44 points and George's 34 points weren't enough to beat them. As for Westbrook, it looks like he's a good fit for the Clippers since he had a double-double in his debut game. However, there's a little nuance, Westbrook also made another 7 turnovers. Grin

Yeah those turnovers at least if it leads to easy buckets will be an issue he needs to tighten them up.  But after watching him on the Clippers and the Lakers this definitely is a better natural fit for him.  Think russ is gonna be a good addition to the team.  With AD and Lebron the Lakers didn't need another alpha type attitude, they needed good role and bench players.  I think both teams got better post russ leaving and coming.
