The Clippers vs Kings game has now entered double overtime.

Clippers bettors should be happy now because there's still a chance that the spread will be covered. Good luck, guys! I'm enjoying the game so far. It looks like the Kings are for real, and they are a threat in the West with the way they are playing.

That game was nuts. A shame it didn’t end in regulation. I thought for a minute that Russell Westbrook was going to make the game winning shot but instead he ended up fouling out in double overtime and the Kings managed to go up by a point for the win. That has to be the highest scoring game of the year. Both teams shot insane percentages.
Yeah, it must be a record-breaking total score in the regulation and even in the overtime games. I doubt someone lost their bet for also betting on "over".  Grin Their game was damn exhausting, I never thought there will be another overtime as the Clippers had their good lead until the Sacramento Kings punished them for being careless.
They are persistent, Malik Monk didn't want to give up, he kept on sinking crucial three-pointers and he is the one who still have enough energy to make them. Sabonis was fouled out too.
Westbrook also made crucial shots. PG13 was a monster. Great game even though they lost at home and on WB's debut.
It's not like they didn't play defense, both teams just had a good night.

Edit : kings won by 1 point. Final score is 176-175.

A little trivia, this game is the 2nd highest scoring in the NBA history, the highest is 186–184 last December 13, 1983.

What did we just saw just a few minutes ago?
We just watched a game for the ages. Cheesy I mean the league now is focusing more on offense, but in my whole time watching NBA games, it's my first time to see both teams having that high score.

To add to your trivia that you said, this is the first time the Clippers had a double overtime since February 13, 2020. I want the game to go to triple overtime since the Clippers don't have a game where it went to a triple overtime, but as I watch the players, I can feel the fatigue to all of them both physical and mental.

Westbrook got fouled out, but he got 14 assists on that game. That 14 assists is tied for the record for most assists in their debut game with the Clippers. I have nothing to say, but that game is a game for the ages. We will see a game like that after years again.

Yes, I thought that the game was over because when I check the score in the 4th, it seems that the Clippers has control of the ball game. But looking at it, double overtime win and the score has one of the highest scoring game, as if we are still in the All-Star with that kind of scoring.

So good win by the Kings, solidifying their standing. WB with a good 17 points, but it wasn't enough. Fox with huge 42 points.

I didn't realize the Bucks vs Heat game would be televised.  I'm pleasantly surprised to discover that it is on ESPN right now.  Smiley  That means I get to watch Kevin Love's debut.  He got the start and already has 3 rebounds in the first 3 minutes.  Great to see him out there putting in work and playing like Kevin Love of old.  I hope this trade revitalizes him and shows that he isn't ready to retire, even if the Cavaliers wanted to pay him to leave their team...  Giannis is back from injury and while he's starting the game 0-2 from the field, Bucks fans have to be glad to see him back out there.
Kevin Love didn't have a point but he was helpful underneath the rim. This is okay because the Bucks are really a strong team even without Giannis who only played 6 minutes and we cannot expect too much from Kevin Love just yet. Their next game will be against the Charlotte Hornets, I hope to see some changes on their performance.
Bobby Portis is back, and this made the Bucks grew stronger on both ends.
Yes, Giannis did play, but he only played for less than 7 minutes. However, that was enough to inspire the team, and as a result, they dominated the Miami Heat, beating them with a 29-point margin. I would say they are sharing the ball very well, which is the main reason for their easy victory.

Kevin Love was scoreless during the entire 21 minutes he played in the game. I think it's the first time I've seen him scoreless, given that he's an offensive machine. It's very uncharacteristic of him. Hopefully, he will be able to make the right adjustments and blend well with his new team.

Are you inferring that Chris Paul is the issue on the Suns in the past?  Dude is arguably the best pure point guard in the league still.  One of the smartest basketball players I've seen in a long time.  If the Suns get dropped it's not going to be because of theor point guard play.
Well, commenting on this post too...
CP3 in the past was an excellent player, worthy of being an allstar, but he has been getting older, he is 37 years old.
One thing I would like to comment on is his health/genetic, he is already a player prone to injuries, I believe that is his biggest negative point.

On the other hand, CP3 is a very experienced player, I have no doubt that he can guide the team to the victory (both, regular season and playoffs).

It would be insane for the Suns to win this NBA season.
CP3 would receive his first ring and will also bring the Suns their first championship title.

I'll be curious to see how the team performs with Durant joining the Suns!

Yep understood but anyone who knows ball knows he isn't or never was dictated by his athleticism.  High flyers and crashing guard type players end up useless towards the end of theor career.  He plays a very calm point and would actually argue he has gotten better with age.  Maybe not on the steal side but setting up his team etc I would pick him over most every other pg in the league right now IF I'm looking for someone running a team.  And that's what's needed when you have Durant, book, a good big etc.  Someone to set them up you don't need 5 scorers on the floor at once.
Yes, absolutely!
CP3 is another type of PG, fast and explosive players for example Drose and Westbrook is another type of PG.

CP3 is a very technical player, he has an excellent vision of the game, and his experience as an NBA player is high.
I have no doubt, during the playoffs CP3 will organize the team and calm it down, that is, he will dictate the pace of the team.

I may be talking some nonsense, but I have no doubt that CP3 is one of the most experienced PGs in the NBA nowdays, I would even dare to say he is a top 3 PG currently.

With CP3 capabilities, yup, if he will maintain that kind of vision inside the court, adding KD will give him more options to set the play,
we all know how deadly both Booker and KD when they have an open look to take the shot.

CP3 can maximize them with Ayton inside who is also a good threat when receiving a ball
inside, the good thing with them is they are also capable of running and make a good defense,
we will all see how they will adjust to one another.

And I think his injuries are not career threatening as well, it could be just the result of wear and tear. Let's just look at the point guards in our generation and how they last as we can compare them to CP3 as well. Steve Nash - 18 seasons, Jason Kidd - 19 seasons, (in which both become NBA coaches  too).

So yeah, I think PG can last long in the NBA, specially not the athletic type of PG as compare to least say, Allen Iverson, 14 years but maybe in that last 3-4 years his game has gone down, or DRose or in the future we might see similar fate for Ja Morant.

Maybe it's time for that Westbrook "thing-y" to move on I guess?
I just want to ask a question regarding the Westbrook's previous team, the Lakers.

With only 23 games remaining, and with their better roster now compare to where it was before trade deadline, do you think that the Lakers will clinch the playoffs this regular season? What is the ceiling for this new Lakers roster this season?

I mean they have a chance. They are on the 13th seed right now, but the are only 5 games behind the 4th seeded Clippers. That's how tight the Western Conference right now. This is the tightest competition that I've ever seen in the Western Conference.  For me, I see them clinching to a play-in spot and the highest that they might probably get is the 8th seed.
The Lakers will probably have to win 15-16 games of their remaining 23 to get in the playoffs. That may not even be enough, it might only get them to the play in game. They have a chance and a lot still believe in Lebron. It's 50/50 IMO.
Yes, it might not be enough, but they earn a good win today against the defending champion in Warriors. And they play good basketball, it was Malik Beasley who lead the team with his outside shooting. But it was a team effort, a lot of them scored in this game.

Take note though that D'Lo scored just 2 points, Lebron James just 13 points.

But it was enough to take that big win.
Players are going to have to step up. Chemistry is going to be super important from this point on. The Lakers should be proud of last nights win against the defending champs and use that as a motivational tool for the remaining 22 games.

I hope the Lakers can improve their place in the standings before the end of the regular season. At the least, they still have time to get into the play-in tournament because they have the same number of wins as the Thunder, who are currently in 11th place in the Western Conference standings. The only thing I'm worried about is Russell's injury. It will be a fiasco for the Lakers if he misses a lot of games due to injury.

Yeah, I am hoping too that they could win 80% of their remaining games to secure a spot in the play-in or better yet in the playoffs. They were actually playing pretty good, they've got consistency with their offense and defense, it was definitely an upgrade for the Lakers seeing their last 3 games.
Russell's injury wasn't that bad (that's what I've seen in an article posted in the social media) so he'll be back in the next couple of games.

Oh so Russell got injured in this game? I wasn't able to watch the full game but some highlights and I saw him give someone a lob pass and it was perfect. But suddenly got confused on the minutes he played and the points he scored.

But I do agree, it was a huge upgrade, everyone is contributing whether in defense and offense.

The game that caught my attention though is the Jazz vs Thunder games, crazy ending. Utah winning in OT.

Plenty of reports that are saying we won’t see Durant on the floor for the Suns until at least Sunday, with a debut next Wednesday even a possibility. I want to see them in action, but with Booker just back in the lineup I can understand why they want to take it slow. I’m glad I’ll be able to see Durant play a lot more. Maybe even in person.

Yes, I also checked it out and indeed, Kevin Durant is reportedly set to make make Suns debut on March 1.. Fans are waiting patiently what would be the outcome of Durant's trade to the Valley of Suns and fortunately, we already have a date about it as he will likely make his debut on the road versus Charlotte Hornets.

Currently, the Suns is on the 5th seed of the West and just a game away from the 4th seed which is occupied by the LA Clippers. The next couple of weeks will be fun as the West is starting to get tighter because of the recent trade.

It's gonna be a wild wild west again this time. Everyone for sure have eyes on the Western conference. The Suns may never make a huge impact on Durant acquisition for the remainder of the season, but come playoffs, they will definitely be one of the hardest if not the hardest team to beat in the West.
Imo, they are not just really strong on papers, but they could make it work this time, most probably.

I do agree that the Suns chances to get themselves a spot in the playoffs has increased because of their recent acquisition of Durant and the same goes for their chances not to get choked in the 1st round of eliminations. We all know that Kevin Durant is a playmaker and in every team he lands on, it's expected that it will be a great team granting that he is now included in the equation. So hopefully, Kevin Durant will not get drag with CP3's problem as he tend be inconsistent once they get a series games.

I wonder if we'll see Russell Westbrook take the floor tonight for the Clippers.  A shame I won't be able to watch that game if he does play.  Should be a little bit of an event.  The Kings have been playing great as of late as well, so it won't be an easy win for the Clippers with or without Russell Westbrook.  I do hope we get to see some highlights of the Clippers new big 3.  Paul George reuniting with Westbrook and seeing how Kawhi and Russ fit together will be interesting.  I must say I'm curious how that pairing will go together, not just on the floor but socially off the court as Russ and Kawhi are a couple of interesting personalities.

I think having Durant, no doubt will boost their chances in the West, but still we wanted how they are going to fair with other strong teams in their division specially the Nuggets.

The match up will be great, Gordon could either work on Booker or Durant and then Murray against CP3.

Hopefully as this could be the last chance of CP3, things c an work this time.

CP3 definitely finally has a team that could win it all, they had that one season where it looked like everything clicked for a second but Giannis had different plans. But at the end of the day, they are a decent team and we all know what they are capable of and I do not think that CP3 ever had a team where it would be this good for him.

I am old enough to remember that there was a moment where CP3 was about to go to Lakers, and it would have been CP3, Kobe, Artest, Odom, Gasol on the floor at the same time which would have been insane to watch but NBA as an organization blocked that trade, ever since that day, this would be the best chance he could get.
