Where are the Patrick Beverley fans at? There's bad news about him as he's been waived by the Orlando Magic.
Under that news and with the same team, Terrence Ross is waived too.

I've been watching this issue ever since they reported that the Trail Blazers had been giving him Toradol shots just to make him play the game.
Will they really give him back or will the Blazer just pay the fine and the trade will continue? I mean, it's not like the Warriors had given up a healthy James Wiseman (4-way deal), he is also prone to injuries just going back and forth after some games. I'd pick GPII over Wiseman but I guess it's the transparency about the health issues that made them mad.

Without Curry for their offense, the Warriors will rely mostly on defense and they badly need help on that end of the floor but with GP2 being benched too, this will be a big problem for them. It's like nothing was changed.

I was under the impression that when they got Donte Divincenzo, he is the one replacing GPII in the line up. And in some games, not just Donte provided defense, but also a good contributor, like 10 points or more.

Maybe the Warriors management really like GPII in their organization. They still have Thompson and Poole for the offense in the absence of Steph, it's just that they have issues closing the game for good.

On another subject, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, I don't know if he loses because of the name or if he plays in Oklahoma, but this year his personal rating is far below the value he deserves. He should definitely be in the top 3 of the mvp candidates. He scored 42 points today, scoring 82% from the field and 95% from the free throws. Flawless.

He's playing in a lottery team with no star teammates. His boosted stats doesn't mean he could be in top 3 in MVP ladder. He's already in Top 10 and that's more than enough.
Jokić has triple double stats and his team is first in the West, he's naturally no.1. Antetokounmpo has 32.3 ppg and 12.4 rpg, Embiid has 33.3 ppg and 10.1 rpg. Tatum and Dončić are other players in Top 5. That list looks fair enough.

Yes, he should. Kevin Durant will be the one who will have a big adjustment because he is the one who transferred and he asked for this too that he should be traded to the Phoenix Suns and now that he is already transferred, I hope he will give the team what they expected from him because just like the Nets,

That's for sure. But Kevin Durant should not do some big adjustments because he's not that type.

He just needs to continue to his usual game performance as that was his specialty. What adjustment does he need? Minimize that king of playing level?

Phoenix Suns know how he plays, instead of Durant doing some adjustments, why not his teammates instead do that part and take advantage of Durant's current performance level? If failed, then Durant is not just fit on their system.

The situation between the Warriors and Trailblazers with Gary Payton II is one I’m not too used to seeing in the NBA. The Warriors claiming they were misled by the health issues Payton has been having. They’ve basically been drugging him up to get him through the pain of playing. I think it’s likely their trade is reversed and Portland gets fined for not disclosing this.

Suns had that one season when they were pretty good, but CP3 has been getting older and Ayton has been quite unhappy at the team, so Booker himself couldn't handle the whole load himself. With Durant on the floor and Booker there as well, just those two would be amazing duo for any team, they will definitely be much better without a doubt. However, CP3 and Ayton are not bad for third and fourth options neither, could be harder for second position but when you add someone as amazing as Durant, then suddenly these two work out very well too. I think they are pretty good and could fight for a title but they still have many teams they have to beat first, but I would say they are the best in west right now, depending on how Durant will do of course.

That was their first year together, they went as high to the finals, but lost to the Bucks. And then we thought that they will make a run again the next season, but with all the Ayton drama, not getting a max rookie contract, they choke in the second round against the Dallas team lead by Luka. Booker's mistake that time is to trash talk him throughout the series, but Luka just destroyed them mentally. So let's see, it seems that they are in a momentum because of their price acquisition, although losing 2 of their core.

With a healthy KD as their reinforcement, I can say that the winning chance is good for the Suns, they can move to the next round
and maybe a possible another West side Semis or maybe more than that.

We can't conclude yet, but hopefully they'll manage how to work together for that
same goal in winning a title.

Durant will be more willing to help this team to reach the NBA Finals. When he was still with the Nets, he only got Irving, now he has all he needs to create a good team. CP3 and Booker can both be effective in the offense, while they have a good center at the same time. I can see that they'll not only pass the 2nd round, they'll reach the WCF the least.
Well, I believe anything can happen...
The Nets put together a super team but didn't have that return on performance that was expected, the same happened with the Lakers...
Well, I have no doubt that the Suns create a good team, we still need to see if the team will have chemistry with each other and after that we will have a certainty if the Suns can be the WCF or not...

We’ll find out right after the all star break. Most of the analysts seem to agree that it will be Craig. It was nice to see Booker back in action tonight against the Pacers. He helped them get the win with a pretty balanced scoring night from Booker/Ayton/Paul. They might already be making an effort to share the ball more evenly to set an example for when KD hits the court. It’ll be interesting to see the shot distribution.
Regarding the All-Star, have you sniffed some news about what will happen since Kyrie and KD were traded to the West? Will there be changes in the roster or will it just be the same as Lebron and Giannis will pick their own roster? I am just curious.  Cheesy

I guess it will all be an isolation play when they hand KD the ball and Booker will be on the play style with Ayton and CP3. There will be a lot of adjustments that they need to polish as this will be the first they will have two assassins in both mid-range and outside shots. Will be looking forward at seeing them rotating the ball more.

Probably it will be the same I reckon, the All Star should not be affected by the trade and what is going on with some players moving from East to West or vice versa. It has been written way before the trade deadline so it should be all set already.

For sure there will be a lot of adjustments, again, we can go back and hopefully Booker will learn from Curry on how he led KD to his thing with Golden State and still remain as the leader of the team.

Booker should be the leader here because he is the franchise player, but he has to make sure that chemistry will exist as that's the only way that will give them a chance in the NBA Finals. They have been in the playoffs many times but Booker sometimes are not consistent because he is checked easily by their opponents, now that they have Durant who are a monster in scoring, they should be very unpredictable comes the playoffs.

Yes, he should. Kevin Durant will be the one who will have a big adjustment because he is the one who transferred and he asked for this too that he should be traded to the Phoenix Suns and now that he is already transferred, I hope he will give the team what they expected from him because just like the Nets, the Suns sacrificed a lot for this trade too. Either way, all of them will adjust so that they will find that rhythm. I'm just glad for CP3 because now he got more choices and can focus more in laying up the table for the team.

The healing process of the players depending on them and how severe the injury is. And yes, they've been through with it and they also healed afterwards.
I think we're all giving the same hype to the team because what we're all expecting is that they really are a strong and contender to hit the championship.
But hopefully, they'll justify that hype that we as fans are expecting and giving to them because there is no doubt on the posture of the team composed with these rosters.

He comeback from one of the worst injuries for a basketball player is, however, he is injured again so yeah, I do believed that as he aged he will be prone to be injured, just like what Steph is right now, wherein they are in the age bracket wherein their body is just giving in because of the wear and tear.

However, I believed that the next 2 years will be the biggest for Durant, it will be a measurement if he is going to slow down a bit or still the same KD when he comes back as a Phoenix player and more likely, after the All-Star Break.
I guess that's already attached to the players when they're aging. Even if they're really good at taking care of themselves and invested a lot to their physique, still no one can flee from an accident and injury. Just like Lebron who invests a lot of money from his physical body and still, he's not exempted from it. As for KD, we saw some once great players but then slowed down with their career due to being prone to injury and that has limited the offers that they should take.

CP3 and Booker can both be effective in the offense, while they have a good center at the same time. I can see that they'll not only pass the 2nd round, they'll reach the WCF the least.

Of all the surprise trades, this one is the most trending because they all know how were the Suns in the last two years and their lack of star players that could help them reach the NBA finals again has arrived and that would be the best thing that happened to them this season. I'm sure adding KD is the best thing they can do and they will gonna have a high chance to win a championship right now if they can easily beat every opponent just before the start of NBA playoffs. because after the NBA all-star weekend, real intense games will start and that would be the best time to show their dominance in the league if ever they will gonna survive without injury before that.

After the All-Star game all the teams will be serious in each remaining game that they've got, for sure they will secure a good
spot in moving to the next round, winning games is very important now.

In regard to KD, his addition gives Suns a better chance for their chase for the title, they've got that chance before, but they lose it
against the Bucks

Now that they've got KD maybe it will be a different outcome when they start playing together.
The addition of KD makes the Suns the West favorites to go to the NBA finals, but being the favorite guarantees nothing. Dallas is looking good after acquiring Kyrie in trades also. Gonna be interesting if these 2 teams face each other in the playoffs.

Even being the favorite might be a bit much at this point in time. We haven’t even seen them play yet. As with most super teams though, it’s hard to win right off the bat. It takes time to learn each other and build chemistry. That’s why I think teams like Golden State might be a problem for Phoenix, because the Suns will be trying to overwhelm everyone with their talent and maybe not play the best team basketball.
Agreed, without chemistry they will not get far. KD has shown he can work with lots of players over his career though. Westbrook in OKC, Steph Klay and Green in Golden State, Kyrie in Brooklyn, and now will show he can work with Booker Paul and Ayton in Phoenix.

Kyrie and Doncic may not look like they had chemistry, but that is going to be an issue forever, not just the first few games. Why? For two reasons, first of all even though both of them are great players, both of them need the ball on their hands and when they don't have it on their hands, that means they are useless, not even as good as a role player, they just wait around to get it back basically which means it is not going to work at all.

Let's assume for a moment that they made it work, even then Kyrie is a locker room trouble and he has always been disliked by everyone and caused trouble for teams as well, it's really not going to be easy to get him to be accepted with his wild views.

As of right now, I wouldn't put much stock in the Suns' prospects of making the NBA Finals this year. Yes, Durant, Booker, and CP3 provide them a lot of offensive firepower, but it will take some time for them to gel as a team. Given his importance on defense, Ayton's performances this season will be a major element in deciding the Suns' fate.

I think they just have enough time to make that chemistry work. We have not seen Durant play yet, he is still healing his injury, but the moment he joined the practice, I'm sure slowly they will form a good band as these star players that are within the team are very much hungry to win a championship, especially for Chris Paul who has been in the league for awhile.

Durant's injury is the biggest problem here. Even when he recovers, I don't know if we will see him on the field with his full performance. I hope he can do something good, otherwise this team doesn't have a very good chance of winning the playoffs.
But if Durant can play well, I think we can see them become champions. The team has potential and the players are good enough, they will need to be good at defense as well Smiley

When a team acquires Durant, the goal should always be to win a Championship. The Suns kept Ayton and Booker and team them up with Durant, that is a Championship team right there. And with the veteran leadership of Chris Paul, they are a very dangerous team right now. Hopefully, this team does not just look good on paper but would be able to live up to the expectation. They have the pieces right, now it is up to the coach to move these pieces in the right direction.

This is the help Luka had been looking for, they may be defeated in this game but they showed how strong they are if there are options for their offense.
And Luka just got back so I won't expect anything yet from him and the chemistry with Kyrie.

Right, they need at least a few games to establish the chemistry they need. I am sure Kyrie wants to impress the Mavs with play so I think there will be no problem for Kyrie at this time. I do not see anything that could hinder these two superstars from blending smoothly.

James Harden got me curious.
Quote
James Harden not surprised Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving left Nets
https://www.nba.com/news/james-harden-not-surprised-kevin-durant-kyrie-irving-left-brooklyn-nets
Quote
“I didn’t just ask to leave for no reason,” Harden said.
Quote
“There was just a lot of dysfunction — clearly. There was a lot of internal things that I’m not going to ever just say or put in the media or anything, and that was one of the reasons why I chose to make my decision,” Harden said after scoring 29 points in the 76ers’ 101-98 victory.
Quote
“But now, fast forward to today, I don’t look like the crazy one,” he added. “I don’t look like the guy, or the quitter or whatever the media want to call me. Like, I knew what was going on and I just decided to, like, I’m not built for this. I don’t want to deal with that. I want to play basketball and have fun and enjoy doing it.”
What could be the possible thing that is happening inside the Nets management? Why would three stars just take off like that even though we all saw how the brotherhood between Kyrie and KD was too strong and yet they went separate ways?
Joe Tsai, maybe? Or Sean Marks?
Whatever that is, because of the statement left by Harden I am sure more players would be aware of avoiding being traded to the Nets. He may not say specifically what is the reason behind it but it sure is not good.
Before the trade, Kyrie had his chance to be left alone and lead a team, be the lone superstar if KD will still pursue the trade. I thought that was his wish but he still pursued to get out of Brooklyn first.

Injuries are the one thing that can derail any team's progress, but I hope the Suns can avoid that. As for Paul, his stats really get worse every season, and there's no doubt that Paul is far from his prime. However, as you mentioned, Paul should only play the role of a point guard on the court, and I'd say he's doing a good job of that, as he still averages 8.7 assists per game.

I got to admit that Chris Paul is a great point guard and for him to stay not injured is to just be a point guard but when the opportunity arises make a move for the points right now they got a scoring machine in Kevin Durant's body, so for the team of the Phoenix Suns many are really interested when Kevin Durant traded to them, now I really doubting if the Warriors would make it to the all-star because of this and they have lost to the New and improve Los Angeles Lakers,

Most likely as Durant will not be able to participate in the all star, it's just unfortunate he got injured, but at the same time he is also fortunate because he landed on a championship team.

Kevin Durant will return on February 24 and I sure wish he stays healthy until the playoffs or the finals, but I am doubting that the Suns will keep on winning without him you can say they have other players that are making a huge performance change and for good, but pretty much let's just wait because right now The Dallas Mavericks is showing potential aswell now that Kyrie Irving was there and an injured Luka Doncic is surely glad on the results,

Ayton always play good defense, if there's someone who needs to play good defense, it should be Chris Paul as he is known to be a good defender, but it's still positive if he is on the floor as he can facilitate the ball well.

Nope Chris Paul is not a good defender you can not trust him with the defense or some steals anymore, he is a ball handler and I think he needs to stay that way right now he is 37 years old and not like Lebron James that are moving smoothly in the court Chris Paul got very limited movement now, not like in his prime you can surely see it, if you stop him on his track he will surely blown out and the choking is now very prone for him,

What a great game in Sacramento! The Kings definitely stepped up their game here as the Mavericks have Luka and Kyrie and they are not easy to deal with. Fox made 36 points and Sabonis with his usual double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. It was so damn entertaining I forgot to put a bet for the Kings.  Grin They won the game in overtime.

This is the help Luka had been looking for, they may be defeated in this game but they showed how strong they are if there are options for their offense.
And Luka just got back so I won't expect anything yet from him and the chemistry with Kyrie.

This is just the first game of Luka with Kyrie, let them adjust first, of course, they don't have the chemistry yet but the Kings are really good, they are for real and they have a good chance to play in the playoffs this season. Eventually, this Dallas team will be able to adjust, it's new to us because usually Luka will easily score 30 points and sometimes have a double-double, but this time his production was reduced since Kyrie assumed the other.
