The 76ers won that trade as they are now a very good team, they are well balanced with offense and defense.

Simmons does not attempt to shot more, probably he had some phobia with his bad experience messing up in big game in the playoffs.
Well, base on how Harden and Simmons are playing right now with their respective teams, I think it's pretty obvious that the Sixers won that trade.

Nets received Seth Curry who is a great shooter, but the main product was Simmons because of his high salary. I don't know if Simmons is really a bad player, but it seems like he was not fully utilized by the Nets based on a huge difference in his stats in the 76ers and his current team.

That was Ben Simmon's stats against the Pistons hehe. It just doesn't make sense for a big PG not to make more shot attempts on a league that mostly favors offense now. It was less than 10 tries per game in their last four or five outings. This guy would be very lucky to have a contract extension that's close to his current salary if he keeps playing like this.
Tony Snell's stats in one game is far better than this one.
0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks in around 25+ minutes of playing. He's like having a cardio on that game.

Kidding aside, Simmons' stats right now is kinda questionable, but he doesn't have a stats like this all the time. Though we already know that he wasn't the Simmons that he was when he is on the Sixers, but the good thing is that he is playing already and trying to redeem himself. It's frustrating if you are a Nets fan, but one game isn't enough for us to judge how he is playing. His stats wouldn't matter if they won the game, but unfortunately they lost and worse is that they lost to a bottom seeded team in Pistons. Cheesy

Got it right for first half in Bulls game and I knew that Horners are a 2nd half team and this is exactly what happened. Unfortunately for me , I didn't click place bet  Grin Grin Grin and I woke up today so happy until I checked My Bet list and saw nothing haha...imagine my reaction Sad.
That was unfortunate mate. I remember a few years ago when I also didn't notice that I typed 1 more zero. So instead of 0.003 BTC it became 0.0003 BTC and I was disappointed when I woke up the next morning. Cheesy

Anyway , I'm also glad that Mavs won against Suns and Luka had another chance to show his magic and skills. Now , I remember well that last year , some players from Suns trash talked Luka and how did that end up ? With Suns taking a huge L from Mavs.
Luka only played 3 minutes mate as he was injured. Hopefully, his injury is not that bad and he can play as early as possible. Nonetheless, it was a joint effort by the Mavs spearheaded by Spencer Dinwiddie who stepped up the gas and was raining shots in his season-high 36 points.

There's always been talks and intrigue about these 2 teams since the Mavs made an upset and knocked the Suns out in the playoffs in 2021. It seems like some Phoenix fans and maybe even Booker himself hasn't moved on yet.

I guess the stigma is still with them and can't get over it mentally, because even if Luka is not present and it was only Dinwiddie scoring, they still can't find a win, hehehe. And Booker being a trash talker really back fired on them on that series and again still in their memories.

It was a sprained right ankle for Luka, we might call it as a blessing in disguise because they have snapped their losing skid.

On the other hand, it will be a big test for them if Luka can't play for the rest of their games. Next 3 games will be against the Jazz, Pistons and Pelicans.

That was just an unexpected loss because Detroit Pistons is currently in the last spot in the eastern conference and many have expected they gonna win easily but the result is the contrary. Too much for Ben Simmons because he thought he doesn't really need to shoot in this game that's why he average 0 points this time. He might be just playing his role as a defender but that wasn't enough to help his team to win this time. Maybe in their next game, he consider shooting the ball because they are not at the alarming spot anyway because they are in the number 4 spot which is really impressive.

Everyone thought, I mean the betting public that the Nets will somewhat win this game because let's admit it, they still have Irving. But he didn't get any support from Ben Simmons, although in his last game against the Nets, he has a good game (maybe he just want to proved something against them).

But here we went scoreless, although he has 7 assists to go. But 0 points is not acceptable in him, everyone in their roster that played had scored 2 points or more, only Cam Thomas who just played 2 minutes put up anything.

He had a bad game, but it's ver evident that his stats has declined compared to his performance before he was traded.

Don't know what's wrong with Poole but likely he's trying to prove he is good or just showing off, too bad for Curry to be triggered like that. I think he should behave more old on his seniors because this isn't the first time he did this kind of attitude.
Showing off most likely, I am glad it ended at his hands too because that erases the mistakes he done. But Steve Kerr should still point it out to him, all the turnovers and poor decisions he is making.
Speaking of Poole, after the game Steph Curry was waiting in the dugout to congratulate the team and Poole was the last one, he made a joke out of the frustration action of Curry throwing his mouthguard. Poole mimics what he did and also threw his mouthguard before he gets near Steph. Hilarious.

If they lose on that segment for sure Curry will get disappointed about what Poole done in that sequence but since they won and Poole got a huge recovery for the mistake he done well that somehow erase the pressure. But still as what you said Kerr still need to correct that since this could start up another heated argument to their rooster and might could destroy their chemistry so coach should do their job to correct their players action next time to avoid their player getting ejected on the game since this is crucial especially if this will happen again to curry.

But it was just one game, Poole was also thinking that he can make it but failed. Good thing in the end he delivered a big win for the team. Curry understand the urgency of winning as they are not in a comfortable standing, and it's a shame that a depending champion would not even make it to the playoffs.

More rumors coming out as the trade deadline is near.
Quote
NBA trade rumors: Nets willing to trade Seth Curry, Joe Harris; playoff contenders interested in Fred VanVleet
Also, the Knicks remain willing to part with Cam Reddish

Joe Harris. Hmm, that's a big fish for a team that badly needs a shooter. Lakers?  Cheesy Unlike Duncan Robinson, he is better at his defensive skills too.

Those two are interesting to be pick up by any them, because they are just pure shooters. Anyhow, they have Kyrie right, why shop for Fred VanFleet? and then they still have Patty Mills but I say pretty much disappointed with him when he went to the Nets.

Not sure though if Joe Harris is a good defender, but as a shooter, he can lights out same as Seth Curry.

Perhaps its the balance that the Nets are looking right now.

Yet another ugly loss for the Bulls.  They came in at -3.5 points which I thought shouldn't be too hard to cover with your team mostly healthy and playing a team with a record of 14-36.  I have lost all hope in the Bulls, not that they had a real chance at anything anyways, but just being competitive makes them fun to watch and they can hardly be that...not even playing .500 ball is sickening with a roster that talented.

Yes, really disappointed with the Bulls, they are really inconsistent, they are like good for the first 2 quarters only and then faded into oblivion in the next 2 quarters. They are the favorite with that handicap and we think that they can easily covered with Lavine and DeRozan.

I think next season, if they don't make it to the playoffs, we will see another roster upgrade here.

Maybe one of their superstars will have to look for other teams specially Lavine.

Every day it seems like I see a new article about another guy being potentially available for a trade with the Lakers. Today it’s “Ice” Trae Young. I gotta admit it would be interesting to see how well Trae would shoot from the arch if LeBron was dishing him wide open passes. I think any development there would be in the off-season though. It seems to me like the Lakers aren’t going to pull the trigger on a big move to try and get a championship this season, but I wouldn’t mind being surprised.
Trae Young would be an upgrade for the Lakers coz I really think they lack of some outside shooters. Lakers path this season wouldn't be that much surprising either way, be a champion or just another ordinary team. Even Lebron himself in Lakers does not make a huge impact for the team to win, he can't carry his team these days  Roll Eyes I'm a fan of him but I don't see him winning a ring this season. A complete Celtics would beat them up easily without AD. Sacramento would make a close them game to Lakers despite not having that all star in the team. But I still gamble on Lakers' game lol.
Trae Young would be a great addition to any team because no question that he is really good as a PG. However, the Lakers already have Lebron who would usually bring the ball, he would act as PG hence that makes Trae Young unable to fulfill his role effectively. I know they can make an adjustment, but the question is, does any PG of the Lakers become better playing with Lebron?

He did it out of frustration and who will not get frustrated with that play. They are at the crucial minutes of the game, your team got an offensive rebound, the shot clock is more than 10 seconds left and then you will just the ball out of nowhere? I mean that's a poor decision making coming from Poole, and clearly he is still unexperienced when it comes to times like that. Fortunately, he is the reason why they won and at the dugout, Curry waited for Poole there and Poole threw his mouthpiece as well and hugged each other after that. Player and mentor relationship Smiley.

Stephen Curry obviously should have been passed the ball at that time. But obviously, it was a little lack of experience and also I think Poole got a little tunnel-visioned. That's why he probably didn't even see Stephen Curry free. But in the end, he corrected himself and won the match for his team. In the end, it was also good to see that there were no hard feelings between the players. I always like to see when a teammate goes from "you fucked up" to "you are awesome! ". And I think we should understand why Stephen Curry did it because we all saw his reaction after the referee called a technical foul on him, we all got to see how passionate he is.

The list of the starters of each conference in NBA All-star game has been picked already.

Lebron has been in the all star for the 19th straight time, tying Kareem's number of all-star appearances. Now some might say that why they picked Tatum over Embiid and my opinion with that is, Tatum is playing better than Embiid this season and it's a numbers game. We also saw Donovan Mitchelll as a starter and it's his first time as a starter. I hope Durant can play in the all-star. Any snubs that you can think on?

I actually wanted to see Anthony Davis play. But of course, there are some injury concerns regarding him. Otherwise, I think we might have seen him in these all-star games. Obviously, a great thing for LeBron to be in the All-Star games for the 19th straight time.

The game is tied if I'm not mistaken when he throw his mouth guard out of his frustrations for not getting the ball from Jordan Poole, and the shot selection that he had made or miss,  Grin.

Of course, Klay is really pump up when he is facing the Memphis Grizzlies and you can see his emotions after he made that big shot and looking at the bench of the Grizzlies. However, I don't like what Steph has showed in his team mates here, yes he is the superstar but he should acted like that as if he is blaming his team mates for the mistakes that he had made, not passing the ball to him.

I'm gonna be honest, I think he should have given the ball to Stephen Curry at that moment. Stephen Curry was hitting threes after threes. I am quite sure that he would have also made that count if he had got the chance. But obviously, that was not the way he should have acted.

But I think we should cut him some slack because he had been scoring greatly for his team. At that time he was also in motion. That was something that happened in the heat of the moment. I think he was punished enough for that by the referee in that match itself.

Sometimes players makes mistake, the good thing with Poole is that he was able to correct his mistake by making sure he made the game-winner. They'll eventually forget that since the bond was already there, and I was glad when I saw Curry hug him after the game, if he hadn't made that shot, I don't know but I believe Curry is a humble person despite his superstar status.

Yeah, crap. I bet for -6.5 as I thought this should be the time to spark things up again and make a streak. They actually have easy 3 road games, Indiana Pacers where they lost after blowing a 21-point lead, then now against Charlotte Hornets where they are the favorite and fans are expecting better from them. Then, their next will be versus Orlando Magic.
If only they played better, they can do a 3-win streak, especially Zach LaVine, that's not the performance that I witnessed while DeRozan was injured, he was superb and stepping up his game big time.
If they can be defeated by those two low seeds then I doubt they can against the Magic which had been phenomenal in their last 2 games. I expected way too much too, but it seems that roster doesn't really work as a team.
