I think the Golden State Warriors will get to the playoffs this season because last season, they only reached the play-in tournament. The reason I believe the Warriors will make it this season is that Thompson was really the problem last season, I mean in short Thompson out to GSW equals Playoffs for Warriors this year. Thompson wasn't as consistent anymore, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Warriors didn't offer him anything good and let him go. As for Buddy Hield, I trust Steve Kerr to find a way to make it work, but of course team chemistry is also important. I just think that by letting go of Thompson, Warriors run will improve this season.
I hope you are right on that analysis because chemistry for me had been a great deal for teams to win the championship or reach the playoffs. I mean, the Boston Celtics had that chemistry, and before them is the Denver Nuggets who also built a great team chemistry before they won a championship.

Since there's not much changes in the Warriors roster except for Klay Thompson, I think they still have that strong unity and they will only have to slowly add Buddy Hield to that rotation to make it work.
Steve Kerr's style is more like his former coaches who don't rely on just one player, I think it will be easy for him to make something out of their new player.

Still, I don't see the Warriors in the championship, for the West it might be Klay who will be up there with Kyrie and Luka or the Timberwolves for the West.

I agree that Buddy Hield will not be able to replace Klay, it's not the same thing, ten years of training together and just a recent trade is not the same thing.

I feel like Klay should have stayed, and neither will Klay do great at Dallas, nor Buddy will do great at Warriors if you ask me. In fact, I also think that Buddy would have done better than Klay at Dallas, and Klay was doing great at Warriors, just one bad off season shouldn't have resulted with him leaving, that doesn't make sense at all, it should have been much simpler situation. I think it's clear that we are going to do fine, and we need to see Buddy and Curry playing together. If they do as well as they hope, then the result will be fine but I doubt it.
There's going to be a lot of what if and speculation if Klay wouldn't left the Warriors, and it's really hard to see a team break up like that.  I mean they have built dynasty already, Curry, Dray and Klay and we wouldn't forget his records that he has done in the Warriors uniform and his clutch 3's.

For Buddy Hield, I think the expectations from him are big as others or fans think that he is a going to be a replacement or even a upgrade of Klay. But we can't predict the future, but for sure Hield knows the pressure and if he is really a great players then he block all this noises and just play as he used to be and contribute in his own way.

I just saw this news that Evan Fournier probably have played his last games in the NBA last season. He's signing with Olympiacos, in Greece for three years. Maybe he might come back after this contract or if there's a team that will still take and sign him once his contract expires there.

Source: Evan Fournier signing with Olympiacos for the next three years

I don't blame him honestly.  He made a good amount of money here.  He is pretty much relegated to riding pine for most of the games so what else would he want to stay here for except for that championship ring.  In Greece he will be playing meaningful minutes in meaningful games.  Liked when the Knicks picked him up and won't forget his first game in a knicks jersey against Boston.

Yeah, I think he had a good career, he was once a Boston Celtics as well if I'm not mistaken and one of their perimeter specialist and then move to NYK and still has that kind of shooting touch, however, he hasn't been given enough time to really show his talent.

But at least he still had a career outside of the NBA and most likely his showing in the Olympics could have been a big factor for him to be sign by olympiacos for the next 3 years and it could have been a good contract as well.

But it's hard to think Buddy to be a true replacement of Klay, he could be a upgrade or downgrade, we will only know once we get to see him working with Steve Kerr systems and if also the other new players can adapt very quick.

Buddy has been shifting between different teams, so he’s still looking for a team that fits him. If we compare Hield to Klay Thompson, I think Klay was better, but that was before his major injury. There’s a reason why he’s out of the Warriors now, despite his contributions to their past championships, and that’s because he’s not the same player anymore. So, this Warriors lineup is more of an experiment, but hopefully, it will work.

Hield’s best seasons were actually with the Kings, but he’s still a legit scorer, averaging double digits with 40% shooting from beyond the arc as his career average.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hieldbu01.html

He will of course not be a replacement of primo Klay, be 100% of current Klay. At least that's what I think. Today I saw a picture of BH and he looked super bulked up. Man they gave this man a lot of protein this summer, I'm telling ya.

Hopefully he will be a good addition to the roster, the GSW need every help they can get after missing out on so many players they were initially persuing.

Prime Klay was an elite shooter and defender, but he lacked athleticism that made him a liability at times. Buddy is an athlete and a premier shooter. I think he’s going to have a great season with Steph spreading the floor for him and will open up possibilities for offense that Klay couldn’t. After Klay’s injury he lost a step and his shot, so Buddy is a massive upgrade over the Klay that is playing today.

Buddy Hield looks a lot ripped, but the reality is that images never tell the full story, before the season we keep getting images but the reality is that most of the time it is not real and we need to wait until the season starts to see the real state of the players. Plus, when you gain a lot of muscle, it ruins your shooting motion, why do you think players like reggie miller, ray allen, steph curry, all all time great players look like they are skinny?

Curry is the most ripped out of them all, think about what that means for shooting. Have you seen too many three point shooters who are ripped? I can't remember any at all, it is not an easy motion when you are ripped. He could be good at defense this way though, which is something they need a lot and he is a decent shooter, even if he is worse, he won't be bad, he will be ok enough for them. So this should be a good period for them, they have what it takes to be in the playoffs, we will see how the season goes.

We sure do.
He's a good player and Indiana Pacers sure won this contract and as well as TJ, there's more for him and let's see how his value goes when he's done with his contract and Indiana Pacers is looking like a great team to wait for.
I've heard that Tyrese is recruiting everyone to go to the Pacers when they're on the Paris Olympics, cool guys.  Grin
TJ is a player that just never seems to run out of energy, guy is all over the court going 100mph. I love that type of player, he is out there wearing down the defenders. Good to see him get paid and glad he is on my Pacers. We couldn't have spent better money IMO.
He'll be appreciated more with all of the seasons coming as long as he maintains that posture of his. The meta for NBA is changing, coming from big man having threes, to guys like him that seems to never run out of energy and always on the go, I'm sure that he'll go far with his NBA career and hopefully he'll get a chip although it's too early for him.

Maybe they are looking forward to see him contribute in rainbow area but they are also exploring on a possibility that Podziemski will be their replacement to Klay. They give him license to shoot in 3 pt area so that means they are looking forward for him to contribute and maybe can fill the space left by Klay in Warriors.

But I guess they already got what they want since they got good shooters in exchange plus a defensive player like Slo mo Anderson. With this current roster they have I think they have more better shot compare to their roster last season where everything seems like so unsure to reach far and we already see the result. But then again let see what will happen to Warriors and how far they possible reach this season.

I agree to that, I think they are spending this break to blend and established chemistries between players, and with Steph and Green they can developed that same system and try to execute good plays. Like what you mentioned, maybe they bringing those guys to contribute outside and take shots if they are free or they've got that chance.

Hopefully they'll be able to maximize that trade and build that competitive squads as the West always full of competitions.

Buddy Hield is looking crazy ripped in the images the Warriors released today. I think Golden State will be interesting to watch this year. I always wanted to see Hield paired with LeBron so he could have another opportunity to play with a great shooter, but Buddy and Steph will make an interesting combo as well. Buddy can shoot like Klay but he’s much faster. The Warriors are going to be doing some launching this year.
What I like about him is that he’s clutch, just like Curry, and could be a solid second option to take shots. With his high three-point shooting percentage, he fits well with the Warriors. With their announced starting lineup having Draymond as the center, it’s clear the Warriors are still committed to playing small ball. They’ve mastered it, so I hope it will work next season, especially now that Klay is out, as he was inconsistent last season.

Yeah, I think they will still continue to go small as it is very effective for them so I doubt that they will not change that. Maybe a chance in personnel like what we have seen, having Buddy and then Slow mo to be another big guy to set picks and then Wiggins and Kuminga as other option for them.

But it's hard to think Buddy to be a true replacement of Klay, he could be a upgrade or downgrade, we will only know once we get to see him working with Steve Kerr systems and if also the other new players can adapt very quick.

Buddy Hield will be taking the position of Klay Thompson and I am not underestimating the talents of Hield but there's always something lacking from that guy, it's the lack of attacking the paint so that he will be unpredictable. Well, he will be in the Warriors now and I don't think they will need that, catch and shoot will be his job and he better put some numbers in the scoreboard once the season starts.

The next two in the starting lineup will be the key for the Warriors. But, as I checked the ESPN website for the starting lineup, here is how it will go.
https://www.espn.com/nba/team/depth/_/name/gs/golden-state-warriors

I do like the 2nd line-up, with Melton out and Curry in.
Well, we all know how Coach Kerr could rotate the players even in the early first quarter so I don't think the first five will be playing the whole 1st quarter. I think they need to strengthen Wiggins on his offensive side, he is becoming inconsistent again like in his younger seasons.

But as what others says, it's hard to image if Buddy Hield is going to be the one that will save the franchise of the Warriors. We still don't know if he can fit on the system of the Warriors and for me he hasn't been that much of a offensive player in his career as he is more focus on defense. So it will be interesting a shift in focus as a Warrior and become their number 2 option.

Warriors need a solid bench players and key player in able to be on top of the league. Other teams is already a natural super team unlike before when Warriors manage an unexpected championship run without KD.

They will need more players that can be reliable on crucial moment. I highly believe that they will more years to develop young talent if they will go this way or they can just get back KD or other player capable of doing his role properly.

Current Warriors has no defense at all while their offense is just centered with Curry.

TJ McConnell gets extension contract (4 years) with his current team, Indiana Pacers.
He's underrated but his contribution during last playoffs especially against the Knicks was so good.

Definitely deserves this money. He works his ass off every season to get minutes on the court and he often delivers.
45million for 4 years is a good pay day for a player of his caliber. He is the kind of player you always underestimate when you are in the opposite team because he is not tall, not strong, not flashy and what else not. But he has game and he proves it night in and night out. Pure skill, intensity and commitment, I really love that kind of player!
We sure do.
