They're already losing on that very last seconds of the quarter, why it feels like it's a disrespect on them? is there an unwritten rule if it's like that?

Yes, in almost the entire league in the world, there's an unwritten rule about that in basketball once the team is already a sure win, please don't make any attempt to bring down much the losing team by doing "unnecessary shots" where the game is already called.

If it happened in the Suns' home, the Pelicans will surely react the same.

It now depends on who's team will ignore that sh*t and just walk off the court without showing any reaction.

Did you watch Philly - Lakers game last night? Smiley What an ending! Both teams want to lose the game so bad. Lakers made a great comeback after Philly's stupid mistakes one after another, but they couldn't use this opportunity to win the game. Anthony Davis could've finished the game but missed the most important free throw. Overtime was the worst for Lakers, they couldn't even score (except the one layup in last 30 seconds) and deserved that loss. Fun game though, Philly could've won comfortably but they created last moment excitement.

It was really a close game at 1st but the Overtime just suck the life out of the Lakers, they are not fit in having some Overtime because most of them are already exhausted, but surely the game is really great to watch and I thought the Lakers could have won this one, Davis could have just slammed it to the ring but maybe due to exhaustion he was foul and just could shot 1 free throw,  you can see that the Lakers just manage to make 2 points from the OT, and Lebron James doesn't really care anymore, but I don't blame him he might be gas out aswell,

What to like in there? He is a basketball player and should not be acting like he always wanted to brawl when hurt. As Filipinos, we sure like when we hear Pacquiao or players displaying courage in the court or ring but this is basketball. They should not even think of punching or squaring off players on the court. It sends negative message to his young fans out there.

I really am being sarcastic in giving examples to be of Manny Pacquiao inside the court, but yeah they are Basketball players and should not be doing such things, and I really salute Kuminga in just ignoring Jordan Clarkson, well as I am saying when emotions are high the intelligence is low and this surely applies to all sports and not just with combat sports when people become aggravated by something they would tend not to think 1st and could do unnecessary things like what Jordan Clarkson has done his emotions were in high alert he would surely going to give Jonathan Kuminga a beating for sure because that is what is going on to his head, in beating the crap out of Kuminga but luckily it was stopped in the right time, and not uncertain damage for both players,

Embiid played really well for Philadelphia 76ers. He started the game in a really devastating way. And that was very challenging to contain for Lakers. James Harden was at the heart of everything that was happening for Philadelphia 76ers. He had really smooth coordination with both Melton and Embiid.

Embiid is really a monster in this game. He is a monster inside the paint and in the offensive, he is shooting almost perfectly on the outside and in the perimeter. And with 12 rebounds and 5 assists, no wonder the Lakers were not able to pull the win. They had the chance with the free throws in the last minute, but I guess pressure and exhaustion got Davis and Reaves in the final seconds of the regulation.

The inner Manny Pacquiao came out.  Cheesy Well, that's the thing, it's a contact sport and Kuminga just acted that way because he felt like the contact was too much. Frustration really does things and sometimes it gets out of hand. I remember Jokic doing a clothesline to Cameron Payne due to frustration too as they were losing against the Suns in the playoffs, it's actually the refs that should be blamed but he took it out to another player which is wrong.
Same result, flagrant 2.

I really liked the inner Manny Pacquiao got out of him, it was sure a touch that he really likes to brawl but yes frustration usually seems to get out of hand in a heated game, and with that players surely get insane stuff and I think we all know that when emotions are high intelligence is low pretty much it will surely get out of hand every player is really not immune to it, but it can surely be avoided if one has high self-control,

The Suns vs Pelicans had an interesting ending. Look it up on Twitter. Zion got the ball and did a 360 windmill dunk on a fast break after the win was already secured. This made the Suns pretty angry and nearly started a brawl. I think the Suns are a little full of themselves all the sudden. Devon Booker and Chris Paul are a couple of the biggest prima donnas in the NBA now. I don’t like it…

Dunk away Zion! Nobody in the NBA can do shit to you. Smiley

One of those unwritten Bush league rules.  All of the drama is just jockeying for the next time they play.  No one likes getting smashed in the face.

It is Pelican's court though and he did it for the fans not to butt-hurt the Suns (is what I thought. Then Zion said that the Suns sent his teammates home last year, so that windmill dunk is a get back to the Suns. Zion is keeping receipts. ). The Suns are just too sensitive when they are hurt but they also show disrespect to other teams before.

They're too dramatic, just leave to the fans that have been cheering when they've seen that dunk. These dudes are too much of a drama, I acknowledge how good they are.

But just give it to the fans to make their ticket more worth it on that game.

It's always funny to see how the losing team reacts to moments like that. Of course, Zion's dunk could be seen as disrespectful to the opponent, and it clearly hurt the ego of the Suns' players. However, I think any losing team shows its unprofessionalism by making ridiculous altercations because of it. At moments like this, they look more like kids on the playground rather than NBA players.

I think the fact that the game was played in New Orleans made it OK. Most of the people there came to see Zion put on a show and he delivered. The Suns need to relax and let Zion do his thing for his fans. If this was in Phoenix, I could see why the Suns would take issue with it. I personally hate seeing my hometown team turn into a bunch of snowflakes. Chris Paul should’ve left that crybaby attitude in Los Angeles.

I’m watching the Lakers vs 76ers game and man is this De’Anthony Melton kid lighting up the scoreboard. He is 8/11 from 3 point range on his way to 30 points.  I don’t think the Sixers would’ve won this game without him. A great performance for a relatively unknown player against multiple hall of famers. He’s going to be one happy guy when he gets home tonight. I’m happy for him, but would have preferred a Lakers win as they’ve been playing great lately.

I'm surprised that this game went to OT, I was watching in the 4th quarter but the Sixers already had a good lead, I'm surprised when I come back that the game was already in overtime. Still plenty of time left, but it's still the sixers who are leading in the OT period.

Lakers made a good comeback in the fourth quarter that's why it went into OT. It was wild as we thought that Sixers is going to win already, I mean 9 points down with less than a minute if I'm not mistaken then forcing an OT that could really hurt the Sixers.

The Lakers though have a chance to win if only Davis hit both free throws with 3.7 left.

But the good thing is that they keep themselves, composed and didn't let that huge comeback by the Lakers hurt the team.

Not only Davis, but Reaves could have given the Lakers a one point lead if he just make all 3 FT, unfortunately he hits 2/3. And they still have a good chance this time it was on Davis shoulder, but then again 1/2.

In the OT it was not even close, the Lakers scored their only point in OT when the game is already decided.

Pat Bev drives for a 2 point and that's it. And this could be one of the greatest comeback though if Lakers win in OT.

Could've been one of the greatest come back if they have won it, unfortunately they're still a team that's still struggling how to close out the game. Though there are improvements, but I hope they'll finally figure it out.
Their top priority this season should enter the 2023 playoffs, i believe they're a much stronger team in a 7 game series, than in a regular season games.
One thing to consider to achieve this is to keep AD healthy all throughout the season, otherwise they'll end up missing the playoffs again.

They got tired in the end that's why the comeback just fell short.

Yes, I do agree that a series is very different as they will have to face each other in at least 4x and chances are Lakers can win at least one and the rest could be very close. So they need to enter the playoff first, and as much as possible not go into a play-in because it might be different for them because against their legs might be tired. Just keep on grinding every game and try to win games and keep Davis and Lebron healthy.

Indeed! It is one of his best nights against the heavy names on the league of which I bet he will boast it to his closest friends and family because it's not every time that Melton can have that good points. He got the most points contributed next to Joel Embiid, and if not because of his successive 3-point shots, the 76ers will really have a hard time battling against the Lakers. A good close game that at least needed an overtime to know who's the winner.

But in other news, knicks playing a nice couple of games lately.  Thibs definitely is only playing 9 amd the rotation is set.  A little miffed cam is getting more run at least to boost his trade value if he isn't part of the plan.

I really think he is quite familiar with what he is doing from the 2018 draft pick for the Phoenix Suns, then Memphis Grizzlies in 2019, and now the Philadelphia 76ers this year, pretty much the kid got some experience in balling and is doing lately but if it wasn't for him the 76ers will surely lose this one, as Anthony Davis, Lebron James, Austin Reaves and a triple-double from Russell Westbrick is surely a big win for the Lakers,

Both teams really played well, it just that the Los Angeles Lakers are not really a defensive team, I think they need to invest in players that can defend or more focus on defense than scoring but surely a well-rounded player who can do that, only one because Anthony Davis can really defend very well but regarding Davis he is not enough on his own,

As a result, the Lakers have now lost three games in a row. They are not the only team with several superstars that is having trouble this season. The Warriors and Heat are both having trouble breaking into the top eight. Nevertheless, the Lakers demonstrated that they can compete with the best teams. They have six straight road games; their final one is against the Pistons, which they should be able to win before returning to Los Angeles. It will be intriguing how they will do against the Celtics and Nuggets at home.

It sure is, Harden made sure that won't happen. He went berserk at overtime and did it all. I think he made 9 of those 13 points in overtime.

Keep AD healthy, that is their key to win every game. Rest him if they think their opponent can be handled by the other players.
Make him the VIP of the team as it is a fact that he is the only one who could bring them more wins than any players. Yes, that includes Lebron and Westbrook.

Bucks were able to use their experience in clutch time, I'm happy they won but not so happy because my bet didn't cover the spread. I have a bet on Bucks -1.5 but Bucks only won by 1 point, so I lose my bet. Giannis beginning to explode in the 4th quarter but his very aggressive move cost him an early foul trouble, he was fouled out but good thing they still win.
Sorry for that bro.
Mine was player props for Giannis at 43 PRA, he only got 41 PRA and then he fouled out. Sad. I thought they could win that challenge as Tim landed first before him but the refs decided it was still a foul. Luckily, all Mavs free throws missed, and that got Luka frustrated to walk out after the game.
It was just close for us but still an L..... Anyway, let's just bounce back next time, that's normal in betting, we lose sometimes and we win sometimes, if we will stop betting, that would also stop the excitement in watching, so just get used to it, eventually we will be able to hit the jackpot. haha

I didn't get to watch that game, but I saw some highlights of that match and it was interesting.
Indeed Melton played well, but Harden (28) and Embiid (38) also had a great performance in that game.
I was imagining, if the Lakers could win that game, I believe that if LeBron James stood out, maybe LAL could have won this game.
By the way, AD had a relevant performance, and also collaborated with the team, Westbrook had an acceptable performance, with a triple double (which is one of his main characteristics)

It went into overtime, so the Lakers has the chance to win. Unfortunately, they have gassed out in the regulation, they have to climb back and again, forced an overtime. But it seems that was the last straw as they were able to score 2 points only in the overtime.

Austin Reaves for the Lakers did a good job in this game scoring 25 points. WB triple double, but Melton's 33 points was too much for the Lakers to contend.

Melton for the 76ers, Reaves for the Lakers. These guys stepped up their games.
The Lakers did great at their comeback in the regulation and forced it to overtime. They may have not won but that is some game they showed tonight.
It proved they are not to be messed with anymore unlike the 1st ten games of the season.
