I’m watching the Lakers vs 76ers game and man is this De’Anthony Melton kid lighting up the scoreboard. He is 8/11 from 3 point range on his way to 30 points.  I don’t think the Sixers would’ve won this game without him. A great performance for a relatively unknown player against multiple hall of famers. He’s going to be one happy guy when he gets home tonight. I’m happy for him, but would have preferred a Lakers win as they’ve been playing great lately.
Melton for the 76ers, Reaves for the Lakers. These guys stepped up their games.
The Lakers did great at their comeback in the regulation and forced it to overtime. They may have not won but that is some game they showed tonight.
It proved they are not to be messed with anymore unlike the 1st ten games of the season.
Bucks were able to use their experience in clutch time, I'm happy they won but not so happy because my bet didn't cover the spread. I have a bet on Bucks -1.5 but Bucks only won by 1 point, so I lose my bet. Giannis beginning to explode in the 4th quarter but his very aggressive move cost him an early foul trouble, he was fouled out but good thing they still win.
Sorry for that bro.
Mine was player props for Giannis at 43 PRA, he only got 41 PRA and then he fouled out. Sad. I thought they could win that challenge as Tim landed first before him but the refs decided it was still a foul. Luckily, all Mavs free throws missed, and that got Luka frustrated to walk out after the game.

I didn't get to watch that game, but I saw some highlights of that match and it was interesting.
Indeed Melton played well, but Harden (28) and Embiid (38) also had a great performance in that game.
I was imagining, if the Lakers could win that game, I believe that if LeBron James stood out, maybe LAL could have won this game.
By the way, AD had a relevant performance, and also collaborated with the team, Westbrook had an acceptable performance, with a triple double (which is one of his main characteristics)

It was a good foul made by Jordan Clarkson and the refs just romanticized it and it's all good not until Kuminga probably said something that made JC in total rage. I'm not sure what he said but it seems that those words flamed JC and made him react that way, maybe as an insult or what.
Anyway, it's great revenge being done by the whole Jazz against Kuminga. They've won in the last few seconds of the game, JC's smiling for sure in the locker.
I think it was not a good foul, he was behind Kuminga and still tried to get the ball, so at that angle, it was a clear foul, he was only penalized for Flagrant foul 2 because he showed his fist as if he is ready to fight. I understand that frustration but he has to realize that to win, being cool is always the best thing to do. For the refs, the actions are more visible than the words, so that alone I'm sure he knows that already.
What I mean, they're about to lose the game and usually, that's normal for a player to do a foul like that just to stop the opponent. JC just did the right thing on this one.
But the surprise was there when Kuminga said probably something JC didn't like and made him react like that. Well, he's been ejected and punished and the game was over already and Utah Jazz still won.

Big win by the Bucks, although Giannis was fouled out late in the 4th quarter but his teammates were able to do the unfinished job for him. Their defense is the key to the win, and Dallas lots of turnovers and miss FT's cost them this game. It was an entertaining game to watch overall, hopefully Dallas will learn more how to play better in clutch times.
Something that coach Kidd need to address inside the dugout, they blew that double digit lead after the 3rd quarter. What a play for Lopez. Not sure why they forget about him.

I mean, he's the tallest guy for the Bucks and giving him space close to the basket is an easy basket
for him, a perfect execution from Holiday seeing that the defense collapse inside and Lopez take that
opportunity real quick to snatch the win in front of the Mavs fans.

I'm surprised that this game went to OT, I was watching in the 4th quarter but the Sixers already had a good lead, I'm surprised when I come back that the game was already in overtime. Still plenty of time left, but it's still the sixers who are leading in the OT period.

Ya, I didn’t expect them to take it to overtime. I think when I made that post they were down by 8 with under a minute left. Almost a great comeback.

How about Zion tonight also? The guy was putting on a show. I think the MVP race might now be between Luka, Giannis and Zion. If Zion stays healthy the Pelicans are going to be making some noise in the postseason.

Luka was the most consistent of the 3 IMO, but the season is still too early, still plenty of things that are gonna happen, so let's wait for the exciting part. By the way, Two mvps are playing against each other now, Luka vs Giannis but it's Luka's team who are ahead now. 12 points lead by Dallas, 66-78.

The Suns vs Pelicans had an interesting ending. Look it up on Twitter. Zion got the ball and did a 360 windmill dunk on a fast break after the win was already secured. This made the Suns pretty angry and nearly started a brawl. I think the Suns are a little full of themselves all the sudden. Devon Booker and Chris Paul are a couple of the biggest prima donnas in the NBA now. I don’t like it…

Dunk away Zion! Nobody in the NBA can do shit to you. Smiley

That'd probably have ended as one of the biggest flop in NBA history If Los Angeles Lakers had been able to secure that win, having come backing from 9 points down with less than 30 secs to go, I felt it was pretty much game over already for 76ers after Anthony Davis was sent to the line with just 3.4 sec left and AD proceeded to score the first FT only to send the game to OT, it still wouldn't have been short of a famous victory if only the Lakers could win it in OT, but they lost all their composure and momentum as the OT got started and couldn't even get any bucket until their 9th attempt.

And you know what was the great thing about Denver Nuggets? They were playing really good and almost a title contender without Jamal Murray when he was injured. And without him, Jokic played crazy and they were quite successful for a team that lost its star. I think that he is a really great player. Maybe can be called superstar even. His highlight plays are unbelievable. I also agree that in that last possession, he was obviously planned to get the ball and use the last second opportunity. And he executed perfectly. Well, too bad for Portland. They indeed did everything they could. But sometimes other team just have one of those moments.
There's some key parts in the game and there are also keyplayers who always have the way to change the game completely with their performance and effective teamwork. The nuggets played very well, just that they were underrated. We all know what always happen to teams that are underrated, they always ended up shocking their opposition with outstanding performance. They really did well without the presence of Jamal Murray and Jokic took the burden upon his shoulders as he had a high profile performance in the game.

Yes, I do agree, it was all on the shoulders of Jokic last season and that's why he put another statistical numbers to win the MVP. But now that Jamal Murray is back, it will be interesting how far they can get into this years' playoff. Porter Jr is also going back if I'm not mistaken, so Nuggets could be another contender this year.
I am waiting for MPJ to be back on the line again. He started 16 games this season and it is a productive one especially that game against the Chicago Bulls where he made 31 points. Let's not also forget Gordon, he is getting better and the chemistry is clicking between him and Jokic. Eye-to-eye contact plays are happening unlike last season.
They have the reigning MVP and now have the second and third option for the team. But it's going to be a very competitive West, lots of good team obviously so we will see if the Nuggets can at least go the finals with their solid lineup.
Playoffs first, this part of the league had become their major problem but now they will deal with it in a stronger roster. DeAndre Jordan had become a good backup center too and it was seen last night by registering 3 blocks.

That's a huge improvement for the Nuggets, I see that they aren't dominating now but slowly they'll show their consistency. Having Murray who is a clutch player is such a relief for the team as they'll be unpredictable in the playoffs. Murray and Jokic as their leaders, would already make a team better, look what they've done with the Blazers in their previous game, looks like they still owned the Blazers.

crazy last couple of possessions in the Blazers-Nuggets game. Dame did everything he can to win the game but Jamal Murry showed up just in time to match Dame. Very clutch 3's at the end for the win by 1 for the Nuggets.

It was indeed as they expected but they forgot Murray is on the court with the Nuggets this year and they miscalculated how sharp-shooter he is and Boom! that was one of the greatest wins for the Nuggets this season. Dame will remember it because he was supposed to be doing it and he was known to sink that kind of end-game score but that's just the way it is because sometimes when you comfortably dunk on someone, one day you will get a dunk. No doubt with this game, Jokic's score in the MVP race will rise as well.

I don't think they forgot about Murray though, it's that Jamal is really this player that we are expected of him, so he hit that big shot.

You will see that the design of the play what to give the ball to Murray's hand, that's why when Jokic gets the ball, he immediately pass the ball to Murray and just a few dribbles and then feints and they he let it fly and nothing but net.

Hard breaking lost for the Portland team though.

Alperen Sengun, the guy we talked about a bit time ago here had another game and it wasn't enough, I really thought that Rockets would beat the Spurs and Alperen had one of the best dunks of the season, he had a coast to coast run and then dunked on Collins and it was epic, they called an offensive foul on that, and we all know it was not, just look at every players reaction and every pundits reaction and you will see that it wasn't and there are a million examples when this wasn't called, so it was a bit about how they like to call everything a foul when it comes to Sengun.

He must be hated by the refs, it is really frustrating to see as a Rockets fan, they just hate the guy, he could have been a much bigger star if refs just give him leeway as much as they give to other players like Morant.

I hate to see how they treat him but I also like how media and every single NBA viewer back him up. It was one of the best dunks of the season and a big humiliation to the defender but it didn't count in the end. There were a lot more controversial calls on the game against Rockets but anyway, they should be happy to stay at the bottom. Smiley They can get number one pick next season and it would be more beneficial for them in the long run, instead of winning against poor Spurs.

I found out that they will be surely sitting on 8th seed or even lower than that because the competition in the West is far more intense than the competition in the East.

Doesn't really matter as that was always the scenario of most East teams when we put them on Western Conference standings.

There is even a scenario before where those teams that competing for the final playoff spot in the West, can be in 4th place when put in the East.

What matter is, to secure a playoff spot, would be better if they won't go through a play-in tournament as that was really a hassle game, especially that sitting on either the 6th or 7th spot is still a critical spot to gain a playoff ticket.

Yes, they are indeed improving in the past couple of weeks especially after Irving's return. Although they still got beaten by the heavy teams, but they are still showing some signs that they will be bouncing back on their next game and let alone Nic Claxton for being a reliable in the center so that Kevin Durant can be more free to chase points and do what he's best at. If these Nets duo will be find their rhythm soon, I bet they will be much harder to defeat.

I'm surprised to see them at the 4th seed but when I look at it closely and compared their average on the opposing conference, I found out that they will be surely sitting on 8th seed or even lower than that because the competition in the West is far more intense than the competition in the East.
Yes, I believe this will be the trend, day after day they will improve until the team manages to improve its chemistry with the return of Kyrie Irving, and with that, they will have an easier time participating in the playoffs.

Today the Nets will play against the Hawks, both are with similar wins/losses, Nets (14W/12L) and Atlanta (13W/12L).
I don't know, but I believe that the good phase that Brooklyn is going through, they will have chances to win this game today against the Hawks
