2019 can be the best year for crypto also. I guess people learned enough the hard way last year about ICO project scams. With this they are now more aware this year plus developers can produce more useful projects compared to what they have for the past years. So this also follows up to your theory for 2020.

Bitcoin Halving really doesn't affect the market in 2017 and in 2020 it will be the same. The thing here is that once the legal regulations for crypto become more and more clear and transparent, it will create a trust foundation for investors in blockchain projects.

I bet we will see better and baddass projects in 2020 simply because bitcoin halving is 2020 ,since what most devs care about is market condition and fear of dumping there tokens 2020 will be a better target for upcoming projects and that doesn't mean there won't be scam projects too ,profits is all we care about isn't it?
We care for the profit, but it doesn't mean 2020 is the best year for ICO because we see and we know that right now, many ICO has been dump too deep after they are released on the market. Many of them still trying to survive and alive after the bear market that was still happening now and they still figure out how to solve their problem. We still have less than 1 year to see if it's happening or not and meanwhile, we can try to search another profit from the other coins.
Seeing our market conditions have not been able to predict well the ICO problem, this year alone the ICO looks more tough and still concerned with the number of scams. So it needs to be reviewed to find ICOs that are truly qualified and produce well. Hoping that it could be in 2020 is the best year for ICO, but we see the facts.

I hope that it would happen but as we all know, scammers and low end type of developers always wanted to gather millions of money, we could not predict their moves, as they are also riding the market conditions, but you know, we always hope for the best of cryptocurrency, and i am looking forward that after the halving next year, it could be the best year of crypto, together with ICO's.
Indeed, no one can predict that 2020 is the best ICO, but this is the hope of speculators about the ICO in the future. There is nothing wrong with hoping that even if it disappoints later, this is the crypto world full of speculators.
well how can you predict 2020 is the year of crypto nobody can predict its just choosing a year of crypto just like the gambling as satoshi says in next 2 decades people will decide its useful or not so lets see more 10 years after what will happen.

In case, my suggestion for you make your investment a listed coin in popular exchange. Low cap low value coins with known team and active development you might give priority. but I’m telling you look upon the Long term project and Cheap ones. Rest is your choice. Best of luck.
