Based on my observations, it seems that only a few fans here are watching the games. Unlike before, there used to be lots of updates in this thread every time there was a game.

It's because the PBA new season hasn't commenced yet. Currently, still on PBA On-Tour or Pre-season.
Yeah, that's because they're still on the tour and that's why we have to be patient on this one. This is like giving it all to the fans that would like to watch some live games. The official season will be back in October and this is also because they'll give time and window for the world cup and Asian games. This is good to see that the PBA is coordinating and also giving this to the national team which has been criticized before when they didn't coordinate and allowed some players from the big franchises to participant.
We have to wait longer this time as PBA is giving time for our National team to prepare for the upcoming World Cup and this is actually good, unfortunately Gilas team didn’t start their training yet as they as still finalizing the players. MPBL is rising, let’s not just compare and let the players enjoy the basketball. PBA is too small for our big population, its good that there’s a MPBL now to accommodate other good players.

The PBA new season is expected to commence late this year as it adjusted its schedule because of Gilas participating in FIBA World Cup and ASIAN games. That also result again for PBA having only 2 conferences in a season, All-Filipino and the other one is still undecided for the import conference.

Back to that recent game between Magnolia and Ginebra, you can see that most Ginebra gunners aren't present there. On the other hand, it's good that Magnolia's Ian Sangalang is now returning in action after being benched out for the long-last Governors Cup.

For pre-games, it might be better to risk money on handicap or point spread, that is if that's available pre-game. Not really a fan of betting mostly on tune-up games, even in the NBA, as my fearless analysis can't be applied there. Smiley

It would be nice if the most popular gambling sites had pregame odds, but based on my experience, they do not list them. However, pregame odds are available in live betting. Nevertheless, we can still bet on the spread. It would be easier and more enjoyable to just bet on the pregame odds and fully enjoy the game by watching only.

Anyway, we have one game today between SMB and Meralco. I think this one will be a defensive game.

SMB and meralco both teams are good and strong enough like SMB they have Fajardo to take care inside the ring and also Pereez Lasseter and the rest of the team can still carry their team but now they have a record of 2-3 because they are loss against merlco. And without a doubt meralco manage their good start they are improve a lot this season but anyway it's too early to celebrate to they must trained well. And good.
It did indeed result in a great game, and it was also a low-scoring one. The total score was only 181 points (92-89), so that's obviously an under. Today, there was another game that ended up being under as well. It was the Magnolia vs Ginebra match, which had a total of only 171 points.

Based on my observations, it seems that only a few fans here are watching the games. Unlike before, there used to be lots of updates in this thread every time there was a game.

Yeah, there are no advance odds for pre-game and as per experienced live games can give you some hints when you are watching the game you'll be able to anticipate if whether the team are showing some defense or if both teams are letting one another to score more points, over/under can be possible to anticipate.

Betting just to add some entertainment or betting because you are aiming to win, watch the game and anticipate and read the possible outcome.

I believe the over will likely hit most of the time since this is just an exhibition game. There seems to be less defense or no defense at all being imposed by both teams.

Difficult to give some pointers and fearless forecasts regarding that since PBA games today might not be taken seriously. Or it's better to say that, teams are serious but not to the point that they will give and showcase their aggressiveness to the full.

Even though let's say there's no pure defense, if both teams have the worst shooting night, the Over might not be covered.

I have been using Duelbets for sports betting. They don't have pregame odds for these games, but they offer live betting options. Therefore, the opportunity to place bets is only available during the live games. Sometimes, if I watch the game live, I am able to place a bet. However, it's not the same when the PBA is in its regular season.

Who's betting on the over/under for the previous games, and what are the trends? Is it over? I believe the over will likely hit most of the time since this is just an exhibition game. There seems to be less defense or no defense at all being imposed by both teams.

Do you know of any sportsbook that provides pregame betting odds for these particular games?

Of course, you can check at https://www.betcoin.ag/sports

As you can see, they have a wide market on the specific game. So, even if the PBA has not yet officially returned, at least we have sportsbooks that provide what we need. Maybe the reason is they have a different odds provider. At least we have an alternative.

It's just unfortunate that my favorite crypto sports book has not covered these games today as they have not put odds on the pre-game but they covered the games involving SMB vs ROS and TNT vs Dyip just the other day.

Even the local sports book also has not covered this one as of the moment. I'm in the mood of betting for the NLEX today but well see if there odds in the live games.

There are two games scheduled today:

The 1st game is Blackwater Bossing vs Northport.
The 2nd game is Phoenix LPG vs NLEX Road Warriors.

I checked with my bookie, but unfortunately, there are no betting odds available at the moment. Do you know of any sportsbook that provides pregame betting odds for these particular games?

Ravena is back!

https://www.onesports.ph/pba/article/12503/look-who-s-back-kiefer-ravena-dons-nlex-colors

I was quite surprised, thinking he had returned for good. However, upon reading the article, I discovered that he was only here for training. Nevertheless, I have heard that there is a new rule in the PBA now that allows players who have already played abroad to still participate in the PBA. This is great news for those who choose to play overseas rather than joining the PBA as a professional.
IIRC, players who have played abroad are still welcome to play for PBA. It's just that some people in the management are butthurt that they're seeing players getting offers on KBL, B League and other leagues offshore. Regardless of that, the PBA should still welcome them as it's like a pride that's been with them and having players that have played for other leagues. Btw, have you seen guys the roster for the Gilas? it's an interesting line up and I guess we've got some chance with the roster they've released.

Not really, just recently they lift that sanction. You can read the full story here.

PARIS – The PBA has softened its stance on players seeing action overseas and altered certain draft and eligibility guidelines in an effort to adapt to the changing times

The league board bared it will no longer apply sit-out sanctions on overseas-based players who wish to come back to the PBA, although their signing rights will remain with their respective mother ballclubs in perpetuity.

Therefore they will not worry if they will play abroad and will not have a longer contract because the PBA will sure willing to have them.
Thanks and that's nice.
There will still be a league that these players will have if ever they decide to comeback to our country and play again for the PBA. For sure teams are going to rush and gonna get them whoever is a free agent and wants to have a team. But who knows if most of them just want to be at Ginebra or in short, MVP and SMC teams.

Playing outside our country is very good decision as we all know that the salary is much bigger and also the opportunity you've got once you are in a broad game. And about Ravena returning here in the Philippines is quite surprise to us maybe there's a chance that this upcoming Fiba world cup he is the one who represent our country just my prediction.
For me about our abroad players will have a chance to play in PBA then the commissioners must allowed that because they are Filipinos so they must accept.

Nope, the Ravena brothers are greatly appreciated by coach Chot Reyes, but they are disliked by the fans. I think we need athletes who are bigger, stronger, and consistent to represent our country. This is not just a simple game; it's already on the FIBA world stage. Therefore, I believe that Ravena joined the team for training purposes only, specifically to improve his game in the B league.
Yeah but we can't do anything if coach chot reyes will choose ravena in the Fiba world cup and we are all know that Fans didn't like Ravena in the lineup. And yes we are all agree that we need to be a stronger team and a stronger players and what we got id justice brownlee as a naturalize player and we won't be regret that as we all know that Justin brownlee is sa strong player that he can contribute a lot.

We really don't know if how long coach Chot will ignore the fans about the Ravena's seems that he's really admiring these two players even there are players who more deserving to earn the place, I will personally be glad if you are right that these two bros are just here to attend the trainings and just to improve their individual skills.

Though I won't be surprise if I will see their names when playing in FIBA world, the trust that Reyes have for these two boys is really unimaginable, ignoring the fans and let the bash to continue is something that a coach Chot is willing to accept for the Ravenas.

I think it's not coach Chot who likes the Ravena bros but i think it's the MVP group of companies honcho himself likes them to be on one of his teams (just my two cents hehe). They might be on the poll right now on the Gilas team but i think they would not be included in the final lineup because they are too small for their positions while playing in the FIBA. Dwight Ramos, Clarkson, Malonzo will be included so no need for the Ravena bros, they are just there for practice purposes.

Back to PBA betting, lost my bet for SMB as they lose by two points to the ROS Elastopainters and DYIP defeated also the heavy favorite TNT Katropa, congrats to those who bet on the underdogs last night.

Tomorrow's game:
Blackwater vs NorthPort
Phoenix vs NLEX

No odds yet but surely Blackwater and Phoenix will be the underdogs here.

He needs to ensure that these two players make significant contributions, considering they will likely face criticism once again. Despite the fans' call for him to resign, he continues to coach the Gilas team. It is evident that the fans want Coach Tab to lead the team again, but the SBP has chosen to disregard their wishes. It's not that we don't support our team, but rather we are unsatisfied with the current coaching style.
