But if you want to take some bets, no one's gonna stop you and you can just do it over and over again until the season comes back. It's still gonna take a lot of time and months until we see the regular ones. So out of boredom and as long as you're wanting to bet for some PBA games, you're good but you expect the unexpected with these games and as per results of it.

Same with regular season shit can still happen but in this kind of tour games maybe if you have some spare and you are okay taking the big risk, taking the underdog may give you some decent benefits. Though like what you have said out of boredom or if you feel lucky and you want to take that chance, betting on this kind of some sort of exhibition match might do for you.

Gambling always attaches with both luck and risk. It's up to you if you are willing to take your shots.

I am going to forever regret not placing a shit ton of bitcoin on last nights Miami Heat versus Miami Celtics game.  It was one of those times where you looked at the spread and thought "what the hell are the odds makers thinking".  I mean Miami dominated games one and two, and were being give 5.5 points AT HOME..I mean cmon.

Now though, that both series are 3-0, I'm just not real sure how to bet these next two games (tonight and tomorrow).  It's going to be difficult for either team to make a clean 4-0 sweep, so I think I'm putting my money on LA and Boston these next two games.

I'd avoid games until the end of this pre-season. But anyway, nice win for the Bossing. It's still quite far for the next season but with this, since we don't have games yet.
If you are for the betting with these matches then we've got no option but I'll choose not to be with these games since it's hard to have teams determined knowing that these are just preseason games. Anyway, with such a win of Bossing, I'm not used to see them win at these preseason but then hopefully this is just the start and sign that they'll do better next season.

Yeah it's too risky betting with pre-season as coaches is very unpredictable if they will use their star players or whatever the game plan it might be, it's something that we need to anticipate if we want to continue taking that big risk, but like what happen here Bossing is not quite good when regular season so maybe a good potential profits for those who take this pick.
It's like just to comply with the rules of PBA that they should play some tour games from any part of the country. So it's just a tour game that nobody knows if these players are serious about it since it's just gonna be a stat for them but the games aren't really counted as per regular season thus, it's a preseason of games.

Nothing else but more on the side of a gambler's instinct when picking which team to bet with or whatever kind of bets you'll going to pick here.

By the way, the outcome of the game yesterday.

Anyone here was able to place a bet on that specific game? Because if someone was able to bet, then we should expect that tomorrow evening the betting odds will be available for Northport vs Meralco and Phoenix vs San Miguel.

TBH, i don't know that there are already pre-season/tune-up games in the PBA.

I'm not really keen on betting on tune-up games as both teams are just experimenting and not showing their true capabilities so you might end up wasting our money as it will be the same as a "guessing game".

Anyone got an idea on when the PBA season begins?

We always do the support because it's our own, but being realistic all the time is important.

So how about you, do you really expect that the current line up of Gilas will bag a gold in the FIBA world cup?
We have good players, and they just need a good system and a good support from us.
I'm confident our Gilas will perform well in the up coming FIBA World cup, let's not just expect too much from them.
The government should start focusing more on improving our sports system and have a solid one, because corruption and politics are still the problem with our sports system.
They have to do their best because the teams that we are into is a top contender and I agree, we should not expect from them because those players are just practicing for a short period of time and its hard to build a good chemistry if there’s a limited preparation. Let’s just support them regardless of the result and just enjoy the whole FIBA games. Tickets are quiet expensive though, for sure many will watch the game of USA.

You got the point kabayan and we all know that thier are many corrupts here in our country even in our sports system they are trying to corrupt it and that's a big mistake we have. Anyways we have a good line ups to compete other country in Fiba world cup as we have Justin brownlee, and maybe Clarkson will play With us so we have a competitive an strong lineups but as they said above we can not expect too much it because there are many strong countries out there but still support our team.

We can be competitive, but let's not expect to win the gold. It's important to be realistic about our chances against top teams in the competition, such as Spain, USA, Australia, Argentina, and France.

Considering the performance of our representative teams in the EASL, like TNT and SMB, who struggle to be competitive, it becomes even more challenging to excel on a bigger stage.

Currently, our national team is ranked at number 40.

For us, simply qualifying for the World Cup is already a significant achievement. The most thrilling moments for me as a fan are watching Gilas compete in the FIBA Asia Championship, where we have had success in the past.

If we are contented with that kind of achievement then why the hell the Philippines is giving too much attention to a sport where we are not really a contender globally? I want to slap that reality in PH basketball but look at them, spending lots of money, spending lots of time, and focusing too much on that sport instead of other sports where we can match globally, then in the end, just being a World Qualifier is already an achievement? Hehe. Cheesy They should stop those bullsh*t efforts and work if the goal is to only be qualified in the World Cup.

Just to be clear, no offense, no hate, no crab mentality. I love basketball and I'm playing that sport.

I understand that the team is putting forth their best effort not only to qualify for the FIBA World Cup but also to win it. However, let's face it, our brand of basketball may not be as strong as that of other countries. I'm confident that the SBP (Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas) is aware of our realistic chances in international competitions. Nonetheless, they continue to work towards developing the basketball brand we have in the Philippines, with the hope that one day we can become champions.

As a fan, I simply want to express my expectations for the team. I don't expect them to win a gold medal, but I would be ecstatic if they can make it to the World Cup and compete strongly against higher-ranking teams without being easily dominated. This is just my perspective as a fan.

So how about you, do you really expect that the current line up of Gilas will bag a gold in the FIBA world cup?

I'm glad they won the gold because it brings happiness to the people and validates the Gilas lineup. It appears that Brownlee has proven himself to be a great player, affirming that the decision to make him a naturalized player was the right one.

That's it for now. We shouldn't discuss the FIBA World Cup yet as we can't expect to excel on the big stage, even with Brownlee as a great leader on the team. Let's focus on celebrating our victory in the SEA Games.

On another note, it's been a while since we last had the PBA. Is there any schedule announced for its return? I miss betting on games already.

I just checked the official website and there's a schedule tomorrow, a game between Bossing vs NLEX, and if you scroll down for more schedule, it seems that PBA is already starting, not sure if that's legit or the site is not being updated. I was under the impression that the PBA is adjusting for the said SEAGAMES and world cup preparations.

Let's wait for those who can confirm about the games and who have the broader knowledge if the adjustments were already done.

I also miss betting and analysing games and the players inside the teams.

It's not part of the regular season; it's more like exhibition games.

BLACKWATER and NLEX collide at the Caloocan Sports Complex in Barangay Bagumbong on May 21 to kick off the very first preseason "PBA on Tour" of the Philippine Basketball Association.

The tour allows each of the 12 member teams to bring in their regular players, and invite free agents as well as rookie aspirants for the 2023 PBA Draft scheduled this September.

You can determine if a game is part of the season based on the availability of betting odds. In the games scheduled for tomorrow, if there are no available betting odds, it indicates that those games are likely just exhibition games.

Thanks for the update and the heads up regarding to how I can determine if the game is part of a regular season, That's also what I understand PBA will not start until September to giveaway for Gilas preparations, but it's good to see that they are giving the fans an exhibition games maybe for my personal assessment to counter those ligang labas and to keep players and teams busy.

It's giving them a chance to compete and established good chemistries while preparing for the upcoming regular seasons.

Conflict with schedules that's why PBA needs to adjust for the National team.

- SouthEast Asian Games - May 5 - May 17
- FIBA World Cup - August 23 - September 10
- ASIAN Games - September 23 - October 8, 2023
- PBA 48th season - mid-October ETA with only 2 conferences (All-Filipino or either Commissioners Cup or Governors Cup)

Good thing that Gilas got its revenge on Cambodia. Seems funny to watch that game honestly since it's like watching Gilas vs another country because of several naturalized players in Cambodia. Gilas actually killed Cambodia with those rainbow shots and we have nice stats on that area.

Unfortunately, even that's a win for Gilas, there's an obvious problem that I see on that game - the defense. There are lots of times that Gilas is having a difficulty on both offensive and defensive rebounds because of those Cambodian's naturalized big man. What's more we can expect in a much heavy competition this year like Asian Games and FIBA World Cup.
To be honest, I don't expect us to be competitive in the FIBA World Cup, considering our low ranking. For us, simply qualifying for the World Cup is already a significant achievement. The most thrilling moments for me as a fan are watching Gilas compete in the FIBA Asia Championship, where we have had success in the past.

The last time I recall seeing the team perform well in the FIBA World Cup was when TR47 was part of the roster.

As I said before, if Gilas won't be a champion this SEA Games, they don't have a chance at much bigger competition. Goodluck to our Gilas this year.

Indonesia was just a better team last year and there goes the "learning experience" made by Chot. Anyway, let's just forget about it, and congrats to all who have won this bet with them.

Coach Chot has redeemed himself, and I hope the critics will also appreciate what he has done for the team. We have achieved the greatest success in the SEA Games for our basketball team. After a tough loss, we were able to bounce back with outstanding performances from not only NOYPI Justin Brownlee but also players like Newsome, Lassiter, and CJ Perez, who contributed greatly to our big win.

The fact that they had all naturalized players is not a problem for us. The coach of Cambodia can now have a good night's sleep.

Aside from Brownlee, those mentioned players really played well to help the team in winning this gold medal, they are down if I'm not mistaken as the naturalized of the home team really giving the Gilas the hard time, but we witness how tough the Gilas are they do everything to support the leadership of Brownlee and regain the title back to our country.

In regards to coach chot, just the same and always be the same sentiment...

Congrats team gilas! Mabuhay kayo!
