I'm expecting they will release on the public their preparation plan for next month including what kind of setup they will do.

2 months preparation is enough for all of this including regular testing (actually some teams are now doing this).

I'm wondering where should be the supposed venue or their options. If I'm not mistaken Smart Araneta and MOA Arena have been a busy location for Covid-19 related response although I don't know if there's still activities there related to that. But I think not a problem since there will be no live audience, they can even play in a much smaller arena compare to these 2 big giants. I hope they will create their own bubble and not after the game, all staff and players will be allowed to go home just like normal.

Good news guys.

No more stopping PBA team workouts as Metro Manila reverts to GCQ

Quote
NO turning back as PBA teams finally gear up for workouts starting next week.

The Commissioner’s Office is already looking at August 25 as the earliest possible date for teams to begin players’ training under a strict health protocol.

Therefore with this announcement, it's expect that PBA will resume its season this year which is good.

As the NBA is holding its playoffs now, maybe right after the NBA finals, we can already see some basketball again this time coming from the locals.

Good news indeed. The last game of the NBA Finals this season would be on October and this coincides with the resumption of the PBA if everything went on smoothly, hope it will. For us, basketball enthusiasts and bettors, it seems that no rest from now on till the 45th PBA season commenced.

Quote
October is the target date of the PBA to resume its 45th season that has been suspended since March due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Looks like PBA is back, been off the news lately but great to see that it's about to restart in 2 months, tops.

Resumption of the season is getting closer now, we are seeing some light here, and the expected month is October this year.
There's still 2 months to prepare and get back on shape, then we can start betting and enjoying PBA again.
Yeah, the test results should be done next month so there's more space for those players (hopefully none) that would be tested positive.

For the NBA and PBA games, there's no conflict between the two as NBA games are usually morning and PBA games are afternoon and evening in our time zone.

For now, even with the healthy Cstand Bolick, I still not see if they will be a contender at All-Filipino. Aside from the San Miguel Group of Companies, there's TNT and ROS that also can give a headache to Batang Pier. I might be wrong so let's wait once PBA resumes.

I guess ROS are playing pretty well, they have a good team work and this team is bound to improve.
We have young players in the ROS that are ready to contribute like Mocon and Nambatac, these are two consistent young players, plus they have veterans.

James Yap is also in good shape, this guy is not getting any younger but still in big game he can give quality minutes.

Hopefully bisdak is correct so NP will have a chance to battle the SMB teams in case they'll reach to the top.

The only way to find out is when the season resume, North Port despite having a healthy Bollick would still not be the favorites to be a contender, I don't see a line on the betting sites yet since there's no assurance that PBA will resume soon yet, but that's what I believe.

What I only like for them now is to gradually improve, add some piece of important players to make them a better team.

Their experience is necessary, so if they'll continue to qualify in the elimination, that would make this team a mature one and chemistry will improve.

With Cstand and Bolick healthy, Batang Pier is a championship contender in an All-Filipino Cup even if Fajardo and Slaughter are back in the PBA.

Good positivity there Kabayan but being them being a contender right away is too far from me.

Standhardinger and Bolick are good players but to carry a team just within them is too much of a work. They need someone as support. No need to look for a good player for traders but to be a contender, their current roster should also step up.

That's a wild statement, you really have trusted these two a lot I guess.
Well, maybe it's time for them to prove if you are right, once the season will resume, we will see a healthy Bollick laying with C. Stand.

I hope you are right my friend so we will not only see SMB teams in the finals.

It's going to be the first time that both of them will play in an All Filipino Cup, C. Stand dedication on his sport is what makes him better and better.

This news : Christian Standhardinger misses sister's wedding while on Gilas duty tells how dedicated he is that he is willing to sacrifice for the team and for his sport. I know it was an old news but it just came into my mind so I did a quick search to find the story.

C. Stand have a better IQ, I have same sentiment.  Junemar, have lots of achievements inside PBA since he's being encircled by good supporting stars who can stand up if he's not having a good game.
It's too early for C-Stand if he and Bollick blend well just like how he and Romeo does when he still playing with SMB, that kind of pick and roll will give them a high chance of winning the title.
If only C-Standhardinger remain at SMB he could get the chance to win Grandslam in the PBA. But now since he is traded already to BATANG PIER he could only now wish the best of the previous team SMB. This is the problem with PBA because the players had no permanent team and mostly they do trading of players. This is one of the stunning trade of the PBA between C-Standhardinger and Moala Tautuaa. Well, Batang Pier team is not a bad team either. It is just a matter of time they will get to know their play and make it as an advantage.

CStand is a good player, no doubt about that but the problem is he is not a good complement to Junemar Fajardo. The longer CStand stays in the SMB team, the more tension it will create in the team as the latter was demanding more playing time which coach Austria could not afford since he is winning with Fajardo.

That trade to Batang Pier is a prelude to a bigger act. The plan was to move CStand to Ginebra in exchange for Slaughter, fortunately Greg ruined it all lol.

that kind of pick and roll will give them a high chance of winning the title.

That strategy should fit on them, Bollick is good in driving the ball inside so C. Stand can get some good pass from Bollick if Bollick will be trap. I know there's a lot they can improve, they haven't played a lot of games yet, they will know each other and build a good chemistry with their leadership in the team.

There's a lot of team that goes after C. Stand, I think he is better than Fajardo, what do you think? Well, I know Fajardo have already accomplished a lot in the PBA, but C. Stand has some good basketball IQ and he actually excel in international competition unlike Fajardo.

I the PBA, there's no question, Fajardo is the better big man, but in international competition, I agree with your observation, C. Stand really stands out.

I like when the announcer say, "Stand the Man".

Coming from the mouse, I think these two really have a great future in the PBA.

Alapag is amazed by Bolick, Perez

However, for a team success, I think Bollick's team has a better chance to succeed compared to Perez's because Bollick is surrounded by more talented players than Perez, not to mentioned C. Stand.

Abueva is gonna come back soon, ,but where do we find these other stars? Smiley Smiley

I'm also wondering where to find that stars, maybe if they can get C. Stand they might be a contender. It looks unlikely to happen but with the current list of big man in the league, there are only few who have the star status, or maybe they'll fill the other position.

I think Phoenix lacks good outside shooter, Wright can drive and shoot outside but at least there's some reliable shooters he can trust who would do the points if he is trap inside or got double, that would help them not to predictable a team.

Wright needs that man to back him up when he already been trapped.

when Abueva's still there playing with him he creates space and he also help in terms of scoring.
but the team needs big man to help them if they can only afford to have C.Stand he's perfect filling
this position.

That's why I said Phoenix should market some players, mainly for Center position. Looking at their lineup, they are lacking players that can hold the inside offense and defense.

Unfortunately it's hard to find good a good center in the PBA.

SMB, Ginebra, and Northport, they all have good centers, but the other teams, centers are not tall and not so athletic.
I am not familiar with the newly drafted players, but if they can get some talent to help their inside, maybe that would help for their team to improve.

Honestly I like Phoenix as they are a defensive oriented team, but they just lack something.

Maybe if they'll be able to sign Kai sotto ahahaha.. Kidding aside, Phoenix needs  additional ace players if they are really aiming

to win a title, if they continue having same squad the chance  to snatch one is too slim.

Kai Sotto will be playing in the NBA as the first Filipino NBA player, let us not drag him to the PBA mate, haha...

Let's not include Kai in the discussion yet as he has not failed his journey yet and I'm optimistic he will make it, and let's just put it this way, if Kai will get drafted, he will not go to the Phoenix, he will go to the shittiest team in the PBA.

add to the list of champions.
