There is many surprises in this World Cup. I have the feeling that European teams dropped slightly in performance comparing to less favourites teams or we are underestimating them.
No need to talk about Argentina surprising defeat or Wales hard draw.. Denmark is also having hard times. There is Poland and France that will have games today, we will see how they could perform.

Saudi Arabia played a great technical game with the offside trap, and they were really good scorers. I don't think Australia will end up winning the game, France will easily win with at least a couple of goals in difference.

Unfortunately reverse was the result in favour of saudi Arabia as against your prediction. S.A showcased a strong creative defensive wall one that's well alert in keeping a well professional offside. I believe there was no way Argentina expected a reception of such defeat in their opening game for the WC, especially not from S. A ending their long time undereating record.

In the FIFA World Cup, Saudi Arabia shocked Argentina. They became too comfortable after a long unbeaten streak, in my opinion. They should learn from this loss and stop taking wins for granted. I don't know what the result between France and Australia will be, but I think France should not take wins for granted but grab points by putting on a winning performance.

But in reality it was the opposite, Argentina lost 1-2 against Saudi Arabia. And the 2-1 advantage provides an opportunity for Saudi Arabia to break its bad record when it meets Argentina, because Saudi Arabia has faced Argentina four times and in those four matches ended in two draws and two defeats.

They are playing with that fire because they lost the euros and they know that if they end up winning the world cup everyone would forget about what they lost and love them. Plus, they are already all players that worth a lot of money, but they could also get a lot more offers with higher salaries as well if they play well here.

Even players who are very well know such as Kane could become a great player with a lot of salary earned and playing for a bigger club, like Real is having hard time with Benzema, who is to say they won't get Kane? So they all want that fame, that money, and also a way to make themselves forgiven for losing the finals.

30 minutes has passed and argentina was leading the match with 1 goal and i think that argentina will be winning the match with the score at least 2-0 for that. KSA was not strong enough to give a tough game for argentina with so many great players.
I hope that argentina will be making lots of goals against KSA but the important thing is KSA was doing its defensive pretty well from any attack that came from the argentina. this becomes an easy match for argentina until it will not lucky enough and KSA can make the match become draw.

After this match, you can see how much Senegal lacks a real striker, their main player Mane.
With him in the team, I believe that Senegal would not have lost the match against the Netherlands and that they would have fought for the first place in the group.
I think the match between Senegal and Ecuador will decide the second place in this group, while Qatar has no chance and is probably the weakest team in the whole world cup.
Honestly, the Netherlands didn't impress me, I expected a lot more from them. Some members of this forum mentioned them as possible candidates for the World Cup finals, but I'm not really convinced of that.

England are at a higher level compared to the teams in their group. They will pass first in the group with some ease. Then Wales and the USA will fight for second place. Now, it will be very interesting to see England playing against these teams, as they are always very emotional games and surprises can happen. Even so, I think England have the best conditions to win every group game.

Yes indeed England has not received a real challenge. But in my opinion at this World Cup the England squad is more mature and has strength that is evenly distributed on every front. Southgate currently has England's best squad. The big win over Iran is proof that The Three Lions are among the strong candidates this time. Iran is not a weak team in Asia, they are a regular country that entered the World Cup and were coached by Carlos Queiroz. The England national team will go fast in the World Cup this time.

We had 4 games so far. Out of them, two were quite lop-sided (Qatar vs Ecuador, and England vs Iran). I found these matches quite boring. The other two were quite interesting (Wales vs United States and Senegal vs Netherlands). And it will be difficult to select one out of the two matches. I enjoyed the Senegal match, but was quite disappointed with the way they lost it in the last 10 minutes or so. They had a golden opportunity to get 1 valuable point. All they had to do was to keep their defense strong for the last few minutes.

The match ended up for the favour of Netherlands to defeated Senegal 2-0, because they really displayed what made them to achieved the victory from the Senegal. The two teams really performed well from the beginning of the match but Senegal missed many opportunities that could have made them to defeat Netherlands but Netherlands defenders made their defense stronger for Senegal strikers not to achieve a single goal till the end of the match. If Netherlands coach can work on their strikers before their next match, I think they will definitely achieve victory that will make them the best in group A.

That's true, but England did show that they're in good shape, they all played very well and fast. Wales also is in great shape. The Wales vs US game was probably the most fun match to watch so far, and I'm sure there will be better matches soon.

Don't get overexcited with a win over such a weak team. AFC teams are not very strong and the real challenge for England will come once they face other UEFA and CONMEBOL teams. They have a match against Wales in group stage and let's see how they perform. And in the next stage, most probably either Ecuador or Netherlands will be their opponents. And that is going to be a lot tougher compared to their match against Iran. And don't forget the fact that England conceded two goals during yesterday's match. They were so focused on attack, that they ignored their defense.

Yes, that's why I have more confidence in England because I have seen how England's past was in the world cup so that this year England already have more great players and also have good skills on the field. England's proof against Iran was indeed extraordinary where England was able to win a lot without having pressure in their game. And if you look at the way the Iranian players are playing, I don't think England is the right opponent for Iran.

Well this is something that I liked, the fact that Gareth Bale scored for his country after Wales did not go to the World Cup, approximately 70 years that he did not go to a World Cup, I think they did very well.

The game got more interesting in the last 30 minutes of the second half. Both teams attacked each other and pressed both through counterattacks and others. Wales finally managed to equalize the score at 1-1 after Bale was fouled in the penalty box, that was Wales' advantage in this match. But who would have thought, USA turned out to play better than Wales even though in the end it failed to maintain victory.

USA looks like they will take the lead in the group stage if they put in a really good performance like this one. Maybe they won't win against England, but it's very possible to win against Iran.

The young English players gave a brilliant performance in this match but indeed this can still be said to be reasonable because it is certain that many have predicted this and of course this will be an easy match for England.
As for the title challenger, maybe we should look at a more equal match first.
