I agree, Ronaldo isn't longer old and has no energy to make moves that he used to do a few years ago.
However, he's still a leader for the entire team, just the fact that he's on the field and with his experience guiding and motivating the other players ends up making a big difference.
You can't underestimate that.

Imagine Ronaldo, for some reason (injured, for example) off the field for some matches, what impact would that not have?

Assuming the goal scored by Yerry Mina for Columbia was allowed I believe Ecuador wouldn't have accepted. It was a though one though but Columbia was a better team it was a goalless draw (0-0). My only issue with Columbia is the weren't utilizing much of their opportunities they just needed a better game plan but the tried in making nice passes and having the ball more
