I remember this triggered a little dicussion, if we shouldn't just let everyone play the small final no matter the # of participations. Looking at the sheet it looks like all more or less regular and interested-in-this-series players are covered (apart from maybe 1r0n1c). But since our host is not qualified by the rules, I am requesting an exception rule for efialtis to play the small final with only 4/8 participations. Only if you want and have time though Wink

I also vote we let @efialtis play. That rule about having to play at least 5 tournaments sounds a bit harsh to me. It would make sense if we had a big reward but with reward on level of 10 mBTC I would let in all who played at least 3 tournaments and did not qualify for final table.

Sorry I dont follow, Why would it be password protected if only names that has been registered on the Grand Finale will the only one that can play on it? Huh

I am referring to the Small Final that will be played at the same time as the Grand Finale.

Code:

Every player who joined at least 5 of the 8 qualifying tournaments, will be eligible to play in the Small Final, no matter how many points they accumulated. Players that didn't finish in the money (i.e. outside Top3) in the Grand Final, will be eligible to play in the Small Final as well. You will automatically get registered for this tournament and don't have to pay an entry fee.

it's not just us. if you check their official thread here, or the SwC thread on the 2+2 forum, players consistently can't get reliable email support lately. there's been a lot of weird stuff happening, and i've seen some speculation that ownership has changed hands.

none of this bodes particularly well for our series going forward, but all we can do is wait and see.

Even if it changes ownership, the new owner should be operating the site as normal to avoid suspicion though. How long has this whole fiasco of bad support started? It seems efialtis has been having bad support experience with them since 2nd series probably? or the first one

Great news for that 10K GRAND MEGA FINALE with all the best fun our series can offer. That tournament sounds great and if only we could remove that 500 krill requirement I am quite sure there would be some epic conversations going on there. I'll try to do my part and farm that krill (missing about 200) but it is nowhere near as fun if all of us can't chat.

No Balkan Mafia for now don't worry, just me coming to make a serious dent on your alcohol and food stores if I get pissed Grin

Correct - I heard back yesterday finally and we are all set for the Grand Finale!

SwC also confirmed we will have a 10K Losers Finale running at the same time - this one will most likely be password-protected but I will post an update as soon as I know more!

Agreed. So definitely don't stress or worry on it anymore. The ball is in their court, and while annoying and surprising the lack of communication is not the end of the world. I hate it when people are flaky while trying to hammer out the details but there's not much to be done about it. So crack a beer, stress work on your site, and crack 5 more Cool

Hell they update the SWC thread, but even then it's not consistent whether or not they do it daily which is the easiest promotion they can do for themselves here. It's how I found one of my favorite tournaments Wink

I do know that it is either swc or no tournament for us but atleast they should be sticking to their promise. They promised to sponsor this 3rd series which means it is their responsibility to follow this up until the The Grand Finale and not making us ( actually you ) extra trouble
