I stand with Ukraine.
fI have told you before, SwC is a great place, they are amazing but you should have kept your cards open (pun intended) about the possibility to change places if there was a better offer on the table. Not like that should mean you do not like SwC or you are betraying them or anything like that, you are running a poker series on bitcointalk and I feel like you should be attached to bitcointalk and users here that join you more than the place that you are running it on.

Once again this doesn't mean SwC is bad or good, I am not saying anything about them at all, but to ask around to other places with poker and trying to get a much better deal can't be a bad thing, maybe you will not like the offers and continue with SwC in the end? That is what I was talking about, and now with this I think I am even more right.

Whether we would continue to play our series on SwC Poker isn't even a question. Of course we would. It's a great place to play poker. The question is whether they(SwC) would like to keep going with their sponsorship and providing their platform, taking no fee at all, considering the low participation rate.

Honestly if the series falls apart it would suck, but I'm sure we could find a way to reboot it down the road. If not a small cash game here and there might work out as well. Hard to say really.

i'm cool with a weekly cash game. the variance of these tourneys is killing me. Smiley

I saw what Efi wrote, and I agree with Steam, it would suck if we don't continue with the series.
Cash game here and there can be interesting, I am for that, but I would like to play tourneys too. Maybe back to basic can be a good option, weekly tournaments without lotteries, final tables, etc... simple tournaments for us from btctalk.
But let's not lose our hopes guys, maybe Efi will work it out. What we have here is a good thing!

There aren't really any/many other options that I'm aware of. So it's not like we just said here forever, but with sponsorship and when things were smoother it made no sense to look elsewhere. Prior to efialitis getting this going I had been reaching out to ACR in an attempt to set up private games for our group... never heard back.

i reached out to ACR a few months ago and never heard anything back either. i'm pretty sure it's SwC or bust---particularly re any sort of sponsorship.

unfortunately, it seems like SwC has much bigger problems right now than dealing with us. they are a very small team and we're an afterthought. all we can do is wait and play it by ear. hopefully they'll eventually get back to @efi. if we have to push the consolation tourney back a bit, no big deal. if SwC doesn't come through, maybe a few of us can match on a donation and put something together. i'm open to that.

Sportsbet was an option but the software they were using was like having someone flicking your ear at irregular intervals while another randomly unplugged your keyboard. They also won't have a poker client until 2021 iirc, while they weight their options.

Hey thanks for trying, and putting in all the effort. No losers tournament can be rough for anyone who didn't make it but that lottery was a nice touch for helping with that. If it takes a while to hear back from them not a big deal. We'll take a breather and go from there.

Looking forward to the final this Sunday.

Yes, I agree with what you wrote - even though I would be lying if I said the lack of communication is not pissing me off (a bit... a lot?!), I still appreciate they gave us the chance to make all of this happen. Just don't get what's so hard about responding more regularly - seriously, receiving a message in the recent weeks feels unreal and very special, like birthday, name day, x-mas, easter all in one! I think don't bust your balls over the loser tournament.

If it happens it will be great, but we will all live without it if it does not.

No hard feelings from us. Thanks for trying.

Did some more (useless) stats. Not as good with visualizing them as some other folks, so please bear with me.

Like what @iv4n said, it's amazing, man! I'm very grateful for your work! Please, keep doing it.

Number of players has gone down again, but looks like we are nearing the bottom Wink
~

And what usually happens after bottom was reached? Right, a bounce up is inevitable!   Wink

I have just paid out lottery prizes @Iv4n, @Globb0, @Betwrong - congrats guys! Smiley
~

Received! Thanks! Smiley

Also, thanks @tyKiwanuka for making the table with ticket numbers, and thanks @Hhampuz for doing the draw, and especially for posting that video! I keep re-watching it. My ticket numbers were: 0854 - 0960. Here comes the last draw ... drum roll... BOOM! 854! Can you imagine that?  Grin

Good morning everybody,

unfortunately, I am rarely hearing back from SwC, like I am sending 5 emails, PM's, I hear back and then another week or two... silence. I can't give an update about losers tournament, so I am not sure if it's going to happen, at all. I have now sent them another email with the finalists' usernames.

I am glad for the sponsoring and the way they set things up for us, really am, after all, we have established a regular poker game for the first ever time here? Still, the lack of communication has become pretty tiring. Will shortly post about the future of our games in the discussion thread but tbh, it's not looking too good atm.

For some people useless, but for me it's amazing what you are doing, thanks a lot for all the work you are doing for all of us here.
I need to improve my stats! I will try to do my best in the next series for that!

Now that was super quick - thanks @Hhampuz! =)

It was super fast from you too! Prize is here and let's try to double that and try my chances for BBJ! Smiley
Thanks Efi, you are amazing! Anything about losers tournament!?

You are welcome buddy!

Regarding losers tournament, I am still waiting to hear back from SwC - sorry about that. Will post an update as soon as I know more.

I've started playing Texas holdem Poker this year but pretty sure I'm very inexperienced in the big picture, I do watch some streams of poker but it'd help me to watch more probably.   Does anyone intend to stream this on something like twitch at some point or would that not be possible because it'd upset things.   Hopefully I'll get upto speed on this particular setup and confident enough to enter the next series.

Fingers crossed for 500 krill before the next one *gulp* (66.23 no chance lol)

Good luck my man! Play 25/50 and win that BBJ! Smiley

I saw the hands combination the other day but in the wrong room.

The problem with those tables for me was rebuy was far too easy. Click click I spent half the tournament money in an afternoon.   Smiley

I also just joined poker stars and I was playing grand tour. But again I get my ass handed to me a lot   hehe

Ask and you shall receive @tykiwanuka!

I just entered the available tickets in the random.org generator and got 5 results (1 was a re-roll as Globb0 hit it twice) and I came up withe this list:

1192 - Iv4n
1072 - Globb0
1769 - Beethoven92
1085 - Globb0 VOID
854 - Betwrong

Video: https://streamable.com/u3ttee

I don't know if you like this or not, but I did it as soon as I saw who had what tickets so correct me if I'm wrong and let me know if it's all good Smiley

Now that was super quick - thanks @Hhampuz! =)

I have pm'ed Beethoven92's regarding his prize - he hasn't been online for a while and I think it makes to confirm with him regarding his SwC account.

Nb. Full disclosure: Iv4n and Globb0 received an added 7.7 chips! Yeah, I typed wrong first...  Cheesy

Average Entries

Number of players has gone down again, but looks like we are nearing the bottom Wink

Most Points All-Time

Point Finishes Ratio

(active players in blue, not mentioned players have 0%)

Money Finishes Ratio

(the second column in the table should say ITM and not ITP, my bad)

bitmutinys & SyGamblers stats are really impressive.

Average Points when finishing in the Points

(only active players)

This is a very telling stat Wink Globb0/Hhampuz/SteamTyme don't finish in the points that often, but when they do, they get big points and some money. Figment/Betwrong/me finish in the points quite often, but don't get a lot of points on average and rarely any money. I like the first way better, but what can you do unless you change your style, which is not easy Grin

Regarding the final, I am fine with any day.

goddamn it, another bubble, seriously? @Hhampuz is so lucky against me, every single time. he's raising every single hand, i have him dominated of course, jam in his face---and of course he hits his 2-outer. dude is consistently the luckiest guy in our series.

and no, i'm not bitter at all! Tongue Roll Eyes

~

And look what happened to me when I flopped a set:

Steamtyme rivered an Ace-high straight, and I lost a significant amount of chips, but luckily not all of them. Smiley

GG, everyone!

Regarding the Finale - shall I try to move it from Sunday to Saturday - would that be fine for all you sharks? That is if I hear back soon enough from SwC of course... Wink

I vote for Sunday, and I agree with your next post that "we will find a date that works for everybody". Even if only one of the finalists wouldn't be able to play at a particular date, we should consider rearranging, imo.

Oho ho! I totally forgot about the lottery! What a nice surprise, at least I am first somewhere!

GG everyone!

You only needed 19 points to make the grand finale in the first series, now that threshold is up to 27 points. This goes to show how competitive are games have been. Too bad for those who missed it by a few points, and congrats to those who qualified. Iv4n will miss the final game for the first time, he was the only one to make the finale in the first two series.

I will definitely remember this series! I miss the first game (I got drunk as ...), I lost focus and luck in crucial hands in later games! Anyway congrats to finalist! Good series, I can't wait to start next ones!

Fingers crossed for 500 krill before the next one *gulp* (66.23 no chance lol)

So close in the end 2 spots out.
