Tough break man, not much I could do flopping 2 pair but make it an expensive flush draw or hope you had a strong A that wouldn't fold. I was worried getting stacks in that early but when you 4 bet me I was pretty sure it had to be done. You've been playing great and I don't want to criticize, but I recognize some leaks I myself was and can still be very prone to.
You had a strong pair but a very weak kicker. Next time you are in that spot, remember people can also flop sets there and you are really behind those. I like the 4-bet sometimes but it should have been a 4-bet fold as I was pretty much saying I have the nuts.

Also don't be so sure. Most of the people playing today were already ahead of you in points, and some of the contenders need to place in the top 4 I believe to pass you.

Just kidding, even without your fancy math I knew the odds are stacked against me. I lost my chances in first 4 tournaments which I played with house full of guests and zero concentration.
Dont lose hope on this even if you have no chance to qualify for the Grand Finale, if you could get atleast the 2nd place today that would be nice though. Even better if you could get 1st place
and there is still the lottery if you are luckyBtw, Bitmutiny should be getting nice amount that is already close to the grand prize on Grand Finale because he won 3/7 qualifier so far and get the 2nd place once . Even if he fail to get anything from the Grand Finale or the lottery, he probably still get alot more from this tournament compared with most of us

You get the 2nd place twice out of 7 qualifiers, that is something you should be proud of. You were bad in the 2nd season but you have been playing so much better on the 3rd season but still goodluck trying to get to the Grand Finale

Today's tournament will be more interesting than the Championship in my opinion. So many close pointers in the table, this is the closest table has been in all of our three series. I think everyone has learnt how others play and we are reaching a saturation point where everyone is equally good (of-course, except 30K Kriller bitmutiny).
I am pretty sure, the Top 9 we are seeing right now won't be the Top 9 after today's tournament. Moreover, it would be interesting to see who take ITM positions in Championship Finale! I am super excited! Bring it on! Good Luck everyone.

If it helps, your chances of qualifying are next to zero, because of your bad average. By winning todays tournament, you can bring it down to 10.63 and would have the same amount of points as Improved/Steam then, if they fail to get any points today. Improved can only have worse average than you, if at least 22 players join today (unlikely) and he is the first to exit. SteamTyme would have to finish 17+ (I doubt we will have even 17 players today) to have worse average than you. And then you would still have to hope for the 4 guys in front of you to not get a lot of points, so all in all you qualifying would be a miracle
Sorry, if this destroys some of your hopes^^ Just play freely, go after all the super tight players and look to finish itm.

You are not alone my man! We are in similar situation, it's all or nothing, and it will be hard to get out from some hands even with bad cards! After some bad games and crazy hands I hope I will get super lucky too! Anyway there's no other way than to try it, and we will try to give our best tonight!

For me the ideal setup is to have final table and losers table at the same time and those who managed to get to final table have no right to enter losers table. But as I said that is something to discuss for next series.

No Man! Wait! It can't happen on 23rd August. I don't know how many football fans we have in our series but Champions League finale will be on 23rd August. If possible please make this tournament on 22nd. I have chances of making to the finals and I really don't wanna miss.
Well if I manage to take the first place and 10 points maybe, but just maybe I will have some chances to get a seat for a final table! This time it's a tight race, anything can happen in the last game!
We can watch it from a bright side, at least some of us will be free for Champions League finale, and the next day we will play a losers game!

Yes, it's new for this series. And in this series, everyone who can still make the Grand Final was itm at least once during the 7 tournaments. But in season 2 we had @CCwatcher420, who qualified for Grand Final, but didn't cash there and also didn't cash in any of the qualifiers. So he never got any money back, although playing good poker, which seemed a bit unfair (well Poker is of course not always fair).
It was brought up here and I thought it was a good idea, without thinking any further about the logistics behind it. And in season 1, the finals were not played simultaneously, so wouldn't have been an issue.
the small final isn't huge from an EV standpoint, less than a buy-in. i'm not too worried about it. tbh, i was fine with just requiring 1 qualifier and letting everyone play, vs barring the top 3 from the championship.

What about losers tournament? I would love to have that at same time as main final so I can keep one eye on the pros while chilling on the other table with my fellow losers.
In general this a good idea, the only problem is, that non-Top3 players from Grand Final are also eligible for small final, so this doesn't work unless all Grand Final players agree to forfeit that spot. and wanted very much to participate on losers table for fun. That was better arrangement in my opinion since it gives bigger opportunities for other players to get some reward money. 9 players that make it to big final have already probably earned some reward money while this losers table could be a good opportunity for the rest of players to get some of the buy ins back.If that is written in the rules for this series than we simply need to have a tournament in some other time. I am never for changing the rules in the middle of series and asking stuff from players. What if 7 finalist agree and 2 are against it, then they look bad and we have unfairly put them in that situation.
