Bitcoind on webserver crashed 15 minutes after my last check and I was on the trip in the meantime. Restarted, running again. Looks like mndrix has no troubles with last patch solving deadlocks, so I'll run it on pool server soon, too.

Web site is down but the pool still is sending out getworks and my my miner is hashing them
Well... hopefully the server is counting them. It probably is, but I always get a little nervous when something like this happens to a site I have invested so much in already.
When this happened before all work was counted and paid.  I think it is just the front end.  While annoying there is no harm done.

Same here, so it can't be the bitcoin daemon then. Probably something to do with his web server. This is not a criticism at you slush (if you're reading this), but is it me or does this happen quite often Tongue?

502 Bad Gateway

site is down...

Can someone explain to me why this happens? Is this the bitcoin daemon crashing?

Yes.
From pool's home page:
"Every instance of your miner needs its own worker account!!!"
You could have also seen that your grand total hash rate was staying the same running the two PCs as the same worker, compared to only running one PC. I believe running two PCs as the same worker splits the work in half, so you were getting the same reward as you would have with just one PC. (I believe).

http://mining.bitcoin.cz/accounts/profile/worker-edit/

Anyway, register a different worker and you're fine.  Edit the batch script on one of the PCs so it uses a second worker.

Question: Does it reduce my reward if I run 2 instances of a mining program on 2 different pc's with the same worker account?

The reason I do it is: I use the same batch script, and I currently don't know how to log into a different account (since the pc's are completely identical)

Stats fixed, second one (pool id 3261) is 118491.

It took me a minute, but I figured it out. Also figured out how to read the block chain in the process, so it was a very worthwhile exercise.  Wink

The 500k blocks suck, but at least I'm not the only one miffed by them. Tongue

Variance is a bitch.  Hey tomorrow will be better Smiley

I hope so, this variance is killing me. Two 500k blocks in one day?  Roll Eyes

This was kind of curious as well:

Will the real Block 118490 please stand up?

hmm looks like we generated an invalid block..bad luck..

*pout*

Took us almost 4 hours last night for a block, too...and the Network Hash Speed is way lower this morning than usual, though ours is up. Bad luck indeed.

Hello,
How can I change my password on your website? It appears there is no such option on the 'My account' page.

I tried to set the thresold to 0.50 but doesnt work.

What kind of trouble you got? You can set threshold to 0.01 and system will send almost everything to you (rewards under 0.01 will remain on account, because Bitcoin client cannot handle sub-cent  amounts properly yet).

sorry Slush it worked, i received the amount now, thanks.
