You guys realize that we have had 4 straight months of exceptionally good luck in this pool, so don't say even out cuz that would mean to get bad luck for months.

Not particularly superstitious but did change to "pick back up" see if that helps.

anybody seen Lady Luck, if so tell her we are still here?

Get some popcorn and a comfortable seat, we often get a 10 block day after bad luck like this.

Your gonna jinx us with talk like that,, LOL  Grin

Too late, I think he did. Like I said earlier anyone seen Lady Luck if so point her back this way.  Smiley

Ouch. Maybe I did. I did not know I had such power, LOL. I'll shut up for a bit.

No need, just looking for something to blame this dry spell on  Grin. Like you said earlier it will pick back up it always seems to pick up out over time.

Here is a link to a prebuilt cgminer with DD OpenWrt and cheap tp link router to flash. Cgminer build is for technobit, but it's a good starting place. Note: this is the most stable controller I've ever used.

3D Printed!
Do you folks know if there's any ARM board cheaper than the raspberry pi which can do the (allocating?*) to my miners?
I am happy to make a filesystem, do the cross-compiling and whatever.  But 50USD is kinda expensive for a single-board computer which only needs to run a very small footprint program.

*(what's the correct term to use?)

Tp link routers($25usd) can be flashed(dd openWrt) to run cgminer. One of my rigs run on a tp link MR3020 router. But with the pi you can get sd card images from other members/companies with stable firmware.

There is also a version of pi made in China that's $36usd on Amazon. It's the one with the black audio jack.

*The pi use software to configure your miner(chip speeds/voltage commands) along with pool info. This software is usually built on top of a stratum proxy program. So the pi is actually a local proxy server for your miners. It also allows you to monitor what your miners are actually doing since the pools numbers are just good estimates of your hash rate.

Hmmmm, me thinks I found my next video-guide project! First I should search for Google/YouTube for any current guides for a CGMiner/router hack
Thanks for posting this info...I ams urprised I never thought of using a DD-WRT router for such a purpose but I don't do code/programming (very novice coder/programmer)

I submitted 18 shares to slush's pool and I still have 0 BTC. Why?

At current network difficulty, you will have earned 1.038283e-09 btc. However, as noted by the poster above, one bitcoin is only divisible up to 1e-08. In order to earn 1e-08 btc, right now you'll need to submit 174 difficulty 1 shares. This amount will increase as the network difficulty increases.

so is that why I don't see the values change?

Yes. That and pool luck.

Is their a way to see the entire block history for Slush?  Or is there a way to see a months worth?  Just looking at the current stat page, we seem to have a long block every 12th block, for the past 3 long blocks.  Is that a coincidence?  Just wondering.

Luck, or lack of?

Out of curiosity what was that time period on those 18 shares?
