Did someone else noticed that every time the thread title is updated to reflect the total speed, it jumps up quite a lot, just a bit after that.
It was updated to 100TH and in few hours went to 120TH after a stable week of 90-100

I personally don't think they can build the monarch , because of the heat generated , big power small unit with single fan . the monarch is a fluff device to keep you interested in BFL. i personally don't think it will every be built and if it dose i don't think there's anyone left who will pre order it

BFL is just a complete failure.

Late shipments doesn't describe the situation well. They fucked their customers without any willingness to offer any compensation.

They produced utter crap in terms of quality and more than a year late.

Anyone who send money their way is a tool. All the information is available to make an educated decision. AVOID BFL.

they shipped a friends jalapeno 2 months early, it seems in response to him disputing the charge via his credit card company.
but regardless the price of asic usb miners makes them a better instant delivery option

I jumped from cpu mining to gpu mining to asics,  I side stepped the FPGA period, (they appeared to be a pointless device, someone will correct me here)
I still have some BFL (clones) on the way this month, and then low power 28 nm devices due for delivery in December onwards.
These could be too late to market (same as BFL mainstream devices) so the order is limited.
I would have loved to replace my GPU's with devices like the Monarch.(maybe the next generation will follow this path?)

What I am looking for now is an early step onto the next level, whatever it may be. The pool will continue to grow, its called progress.
What we need from the hardware vendors is scaleable devices, not replaceable devices.

Does anyone know a video step by step instruction on getting asic miners to work on this pool .
I got one gpu here .
All my asics are with bitminter since it was the only instructional video I could understand .

I tried for hours to get bfg miner running with this pool but gave up .

I know this stuff may be easy to a lot of you but I cannot follow the written instructions but can pause videos till I get it right .

Thank you for any advice .

Have you tried -S all? I am using BFGMiner and I find is easy setup comparing to CGMiner... ugh...

I made a .bat file (name it whatever you want) on my desktop,
open notepad and paste the following:

cd folder
bfgminer -o stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -u -p -S all

save it then open the bat file and it should work.

Have you searched YouTube?

You can PM me if you'd like with any questions, I have ~60 ASIC USB miners running with BFGMiner. They can be tricky to get working at first.

where do we start to look for the new tech?

miners need to buy new picks & shovels regularly.

The current state of the mining scene is quite uncertain in regards to the vendors. All the involved companies need to prove their capability to the community.

I applaud the fact that KNC didn't let us down and I look forward to cointerra's entry too.

I think it's best to keep calm and don't rush the purchase. I have an early cointerra order, if that falls through for some reason I will wait until 22/14nm is announced, probably in late 2014-2015.

At the moment I would rather buy bitcoin. So far it proved to be a (very) good investment, not to mention the surge in accepting places. For a few months I don't even cash out any BTC as there's always something I need which can be bought with them.

@bspurloc:

You cannot be serious. We have real information on the volume SR handled. It was a spec of dust considering the volume/transactions for other aspects of the market for same period.

If anything, it will make bitcoin stronger:

1.) It's a proof that bitcoin is already much more than SR

2.) Adoption will continue because of #1

3.) There will be a dozen of SR like sites competing (which is positive, as war on drugs is just idiotic and this is the only way fighting against it)

I'm not even sure why you spread nonsense here. Maybe bitcoin is only drugs and gambling for you, but don't think everyone is like you ;-)
(in short: fuck off)

Wow, hashing power keeps increasing.  My cut keeps decreasing.

Exciting and sad at the same time, isn't it?

Exciting because the project goes on, media talk about it and even with the latest value drop after SR busting everything seems going fine.
Sad because my hashrate is everyday less significant Sad

Actually the BTC Value dropping then coming back up after the SR Busting is pretty disturbing.
The only possible way it did that is the Winklevoss twins force investing in it, or other richy riches.
There are 2 major uses for BTC, Gambling/Drugs and one of them just got cut off hardcore.

ROI? Mine 5 bitcoins with £1000 worth of equipment and you have lost ROI............... what happens when its £1000 Per BitCoin!!!!!!!!! you people need to look at the long term , now silk road gone and more investment from the millionaires club we are perfectly , Stop Moaning Keep Mining!

Think of all those BFL mini rigs yet to be delivered, by the time they ship, ROI will be gone and return on power costs gone as well.

Time to skip a generation and start booking the next level of hardware (does anyone know what WILL follow 28nm miners?)

Our problem is that even though our hashrate goes up, it isn't going up any faster than the other pools. If it did, we would get more blocks at our lower rate and come out ahead.
On Sept 1st, I was making .0214 a day.  Yesterday I made .00628.  The pain, the freakin pain!
