The law of the universe!
I also use bitparking as a backup pool because of the namecoins, ixcoin and devcoin - it actually adds about 8% to my mining income.

hmmm..... forced to leave Slush. Don't want to be punished over and over again because I can't log on.  Angry

Yeah I like them too - if only they had a bigger slice of the cake I would mine there - chicken and the egg I spose - but it's a great failover

I wonder who gets the reward or how will it be calculated if no one can connect?  Huh I'm a bit confused...

In the last downs we learned that even though mining goes down for the majority of clients, there are still some that continue mining (according to the stats page).

The hashing power of those miners still standing is comparatively low, so it is improbable thy will find a block. If they do, the longer the mining is down for everybody else, the larger is the proportion of the reward the still active miners will get.

You can see your personal “Estimated reward” on your “My account” page. You estimated reward goes down the more time it passes since your last submitted share.

I do not have a backup pool setup.  It is becoming obvious to me I need a backup pool.

I hash at 6.5gh/s.

Can anyone recommend a few mining pools?

Any PPS pool, as it does not penalize hopping.

I use BTC Guild as my failover.  Not my favorite pool, but the ppnls does not penalize for hopping.

bitparking needs your spare hashes - admirable pool - only 2-4TH/s normally but they offer NMC, DVC and IXC when you mine BTC.

Looks like the pool has issues again.... Slush?!?

Yes. I wonder if this has to do with the DDOS attacks from earlier???

Speaking of which, how do we go about having a strong network with DDOS attacks? Is there a thread somewhere regarding this?
