I think there 's no need to fill the entire world population with computers or laptops, smart phones will do it and it is cheaper. Majority of netizens are using their smartphones that perform like a laptop to do some cryptocurrency transactions like bitcoin. I the near future, many sophisticated smartphones and tablets will come out the market to support the so called cashless transactions using bitcoin and other virtual coins.

...compared to say u.s. dollar bills which you can hold in your hand or stuff in your mattress.

this is why bitcoins will not go mainstream because majority of human beings on this planet do not have access to a computer.

successful gold standards are things like toyota trucks, ak-47's, u.s. c-notes which thrive in places like afghanistan and africa.

How sure are you that it will remain that way? If this was the 1900's then you'd be right. But the thing is that as technologies advance, more people get reached by it. I believe thay sooner or later, computers or smartphones won't only be present on cities but also on remote areas. Think about it.

I'm sure the technology will spread all over the world and will touch all levels of society. With the current conditions alone, bitcoin has been able to shake the world, what if most people on this planet already knew it? Certainly it will be even more fantastic!

this is not right because it's not with laptop or computer that crypto can be used word wide but with smartphone! easier to use for daily payment (like in a store!) Probably the best solution for a lot of population that can't access to the classic bank system. only 1/3 of worldwide population have this access!

if majority of people can't access computers nowadays, if this info is even true, then it still doesn't mean that won't change in few years. World is rapidly changing every day, few years is really long time.

You are correct that there is a limitation to this technology, however I don’t think this will make it fail. Computer companies like Apple are thriving even with these same people unable to access computers or smart phones. Internet providers are thriving as well, plus many internet companies. If these can all succeed, then why can’t a digital currency?

If only 5% of them gets invested i will get rich  Grin .What you think how many possess bitcoin right now?Not even 1% .Cryptocurrency will stay for some time untill new technology arrives

Smart people will see that those who cannot use computers are the target group for future BTC!
Computers and the Internet will slowly spread to these people. These people will also accept the BTC's thinking!
BTC will be used by more people and BTC will succeed!

Annually the amount of computer literate people in the whole world increases. Who said bitcoin would fail because 60% of people are still have no access to computers or not well-versed in the computer world? Every year we are one step to progression, We can't say bitcoin would fail just because the amount of people who uses computers is still relatively low.

It won`t affect and kill crypto, look, 60% of population is poor for a long time not just today and somehow it-technology lived up and brought money, the same is with BTC. It will never be adopted everywhere in the world, but it doesn’t mean it is going to fail.

of course, but you missed the mistake. today the era of digital technology all the more accessible information from smart phones. and almost the entire city community has it from the cheapest price. is not it able to access crypto and bitcoin? What do you think ? I think in time the digital technology will grow more rapidly and this will affect the development of bitcoin.

I didn't even suppose the the percent is so high. But look, OK comps cost more than a simple smartphone, so I guess with smartphones the situation is better and people can use Bitcoin from their phones, the only thing that needed here is Internet.

I think that bitcoin will go mainstream even if 60% doesn't have access to it. Just like the internet not everybody has access to it but it is needed by everyone. And it is already mainstream. Everything is online already so digital currency is coming
The question saying that bitcoin might die because only 40% knows how to use computer. How pathetic! then why does the bitcoin still exist up to this very day? Even if the percentage is lesser, bitcoin will surely survive up to the future because of its potentials. Dont underestimate the power of the first decentralized digital currency, the father of all cryptos.

No, not like that.
Computers will be the only thing in the future that rule the world, so the people who can't access computer will dissapear slowly and they have no power to beat computer's power.
I think 20 years from now, computer is already rule the world, robots is everywhere and human interaction is become less.

In countries where people do not have access to a computer, them are not at all up to bitcoin. They are preoccupied with more elementary problems. On investment and financial literacy, there is nothing to say.

yes, that can be true. but the world community today is also busy with social media, but if bitcoin like social media. I think developments will drastically occur.

With that amount of the world’s population having lessen or no access
at all, it is no surprise that Bitcoin hasn’t truly pushed through what
people have expected. But if does have access, changes with bitcoin
will surely have an enormous impact. Bitcoin will succeed.

As I personally do not think that 60% of the world's population does not use computers, the value of bitcoin goes down because of the many factors that drive it down. For example, 2017 is the peak of bitcoin, while the number of people using the computer is probably less than 2018.

But did you think about the world changing to globalization. I don't want to state it is going to be better with it, but for sure computers are getting more accessable. Even in poorer countries it gets inevitable to owna smart phone, on which you can do cryptos!

Yes, everything is correct. Bitcoin is an internet currency, and if people do not have internet, then they can not use bitcoin. But this is not a flaw in bitcoin. Bitcoin looks to the future. Cool
