Even if people can't access a computer, can they access a mobile device? A tablet, cheap smartphone, anything along those lines? If they can then they can go ahead and use and buy bitcoin whenever they want. A computer is one thing, and I kinda understand why so many don't have this yet -- but a TON of people in the world have phones capable of using bitcoin, even in poor nations.

Your point is invalid.
Yeah, even poor country can have access to bitcoin, not much but some actually have bitcoins for transactions.

That is why I disagree with your opinion because surely next year will grow more in the numbers with bitcoin benefits and many entrepreneurs will accept bitcoin as payment. And, yes, internet connection is a necessary condition for using Bitcoin and although we are in the 21st century many people still do not have internet access or it is very limited. In addition, the amount of Bitcoin is also limited. That will keep Bitcoin alive.

I wonder if the same thing happens when a credit / debit card is introduced. Over the years, many have speculated about the failure of bitcoin, but this great code is still working very well. Bitcoin will check the time though the large number of people lack access to the computer and the internet.

I think you are trying to say that bitcoin will fail to become a mainstream currency because 60% of the world population don't have access to the computer. If I am understanding you correctly, then let me assure you that bitcoin is not structurally built and fit for becoming a mainstream currency in any way. It is an experimental virtual currency which implemented the idea of a decentralized currency successfully for the first time through blockchain technology. It is not trying to become a mainstream one.

So bitcoin will always be used by those with a certain level of technological expertise  and not by any common people. Even though the process for bitcoin payment has been made very simpler by many third party wallet provider, but majority of the governments will not want to allow bitcoin to mingle with their own centralized currency system. It is and will always remain as a digital currency and an excellent store of value.

I totally agree with you. Bitcoin doesn't mean having to be massively used as currency replacing traditional fiat. Bitcoin is a technology product that lives with its own market. Supply and demand holds big control over Bitcoin, and it is still there.

BItcoin will not fail, it is not always computers who give support on this, some people are using mobile phones at this age.

...compared to say u.s. dollar bills which you can hold in your hand or stuff in your mattress.

this is why bitcoins will not go mainstream because majority of human beings on this planet do not have access to a computer.

successful gold standards are things like toyota trucks, ak-47's, u.s. c-notes which thrive in places like afghanistan and africa.

Just by the amount of BTC available I would find it very hard for the majority of people to own some, but that does not mean it will fail. Even if you do need a certain level of technology to access crypto, other cryptocurrencies could still become mainstream.
I wonder if the same thing happened when plastic (credit / debit cards) was introduced. My guess is that many people thought it would never go mainstream, yet it did.

Over the years, many people have speculated the failure of bitcoin but this amazing crypto is still doing amazingly well. The world is fast advancing in this digital age as a lot of education on blockchain technology is on the rise now. Bitcoin will stand the test of time despite the large number of people who lack access to computer and internet.

Right now 60% of people do not know the bitcoins and have no idea what they really are. But why is 40% aware of bitcoins and it only happens for 2-3 years. That is why I do not agree with your opinion because surely the next year will be more growth in the numbers who have an interest in bitcoins and more entrepreneurs will accept bitcoins as payment way.

I don't think, if true, this will cause bitcoin to fail. Close to 5 billion people have mobile phones and 3.2 billion have internet. These
technology leapfrogs eliminate the need for computers.

It's true that very limited number of people in the world are using Bitcoin. About 2 millions they say. And, yes, internet connection is condition necessary for using Bitcoin and although we are in 21st century many people still don't have internet access or it's very limited.
But to my opinion for Bitcoin success it's not crucial that whole world uses it. Also, the number of Bitcoins is limited too. It's crucial that has support of critical number of users, that is curculating on the market and regulated properly. That will keep Bitcoin alive.

In order to own bitcoin and any other crypto currency, it is not necessary to have a computer. Now they are issuing plastic cards, with which you can pay with crypto currency.

Though I agree with you that a vast majority of people is still not able to have  the facility of computers and internet.  Without this basic facility they can not use bitcoin and other crypto currency.

But because this basic facility is not available with many people we can not stop advancement towards the crypto heights of the future. Day by day the facility of computers and internet is increasing.  More and more people coming into the fold of bitcoin.

So being optimistic will be good for all of us.

i have been thinking about these too and yet to get a convincing answer as to why it will not die an untimely death, The possibility of eliminating the rural areas will never come into existence, and who are people in the rural areas? people with No good electricity, no computers or access to internet or even the know how of how a computer works, so how would bitcoin rule the world when there are people who have accepted their destiny and chose to remain in the village. what then would you use to patronize their farm produce??

1% of people manage 99% of the money all over the world! not everyone is destined to be rich and successful! Moreover, the crypto market is developing only 8 years, and it is already ahead of the development of any payment system! Now a very large part of people are already using and even more chat will use crypto coins!

1% of the people own 99% of the money (I would rather use the term wealth), because they are the most intelligent people on this planet. IQ is the key. If you are an idiot, then you will lose all of your money even if you were born as a billionaire.

No it is not necessory that Bitcoin will fail due to unaccess of people to computer. Online banking is a good example. Bitcoin can only be fail if all countries of world ban togather in united nation by voting in council. Bitcoin can only be succesful if a bank is organised which work in bitcoin.
Even if all the countries banned the bitcoin we still can send and receive it and the only way to completely stop the bitcoin being used is shutting down the internet world wide.which is also highly impossible so no one can stop us from using the crypto currencies.

Thats not correct. 40% of population is still way more customers, than the biggest bank have.

BTC will fall because its a scam and its core technology is not scalable.
