ETH is the king of alt coin, please invest on that. and i suggest you to invest on ico's too. thats a smart thing. these days very hot icos are wepower, gonetwork and arkblock.

Yes I agree, do your own research. I would suggest some coins to research, and if you like them great, but if not then good. Even though you don't like Verge, there is a place for privacy coins. I would research DeepOnion. And another upcoming project I like is Genesis Vision. They are going into the private trust market. Good Luck!
I would advise to do your own research and diversify into as many as you can.
I will go with 50 % to big coins, BTC and ETH and rest 25 % - 10% - 10% - 5% for altcoins .. make your own math and probably let the small percent to something that is in the ico stage or something like that .. good luck, wich I had such amonth!

Buy this and hold it for good while you are still learning, put at least 50% of your invest fund and profit will come. You have a good capital to invest for, all you have to do now is educate yourself.
I agree with your suggestion that the op should learn to research on the token that will be invested. Not all suggestions here always make a profit, you can discuss with your local community and the best decision is in your hands.But if i be op, i will invest in btc and alt any other old.
