I'm working on a game through unity at the moment, little side project, first person, cartoon styled, magic, melee attacking, open world. Cheesy would love some free hosting.

What will be max amount of coins in circulation? coinmarketcap shows only circulating supply of 1,4 mil.

There is no max cap currently. The supply grows steadily by 1.2 8BIT per minute. It means the inflation rate slows down over time, as 1.2/supply ratio becomes less and less.

Edit: Thank you for answering.

I see, that is quite a lot, its 600k coins a year or 50% of current supply which is made of years of mining. Maybe in upgraded coin it can be changed to significantly lower minting and include max coin supply so older holders do profit as new supply dramatically influences the price while it doesnt add much toward coin except for mining profitability (if price increases minnig profitability would increase with lower amount of coins too). Coin with 1,5 mil supply and 100 mil supply will still do the same thing, just with 100 mil supply early holders get diluted significantly (in this case, some holders are here since years, and still their share is diluted with 50% this year after so many years of mining). Max supply as in bitcoin and most other coins adds a lot to attractiveness because scarcity of bitcoin plays significant role in perception compared to other commodities which are usually abundand in nature and their mining depends on current level of technology. (crypto is not commodity but most often in eyes of investors is closer to commodity then equity in company).

In fact there are around 1.7M coins now, so with 1.2*60*24*365=630720 coins generated yearly, we have 37% yearly inflation at the moment. That number will become less with every year (for example in a year it will become 27%, then 21% next year, then 17.5% and so on), even though the supply is not limited. Limiting the supply like it is done in Bitcoin (or just decreasing the inflation rate a bit) could be a good idea, but inflation is not the biggest issue with 8bit at the moment.

I would be really interested to listen some news from 8bit-party on how the development is going on...

can I get more money?

Yes, sure. Fort Knox has a lot of them. Try asking, maybe they will share.

Yep - we are almost there, although the gitian (building) box has caused trouble recently and we are waiting for a diagnosis / hw replacement. Stay tuned.

I've also put together a guide to running multiple masternodes on the same VPS:

http://btcca.ca/masternode-setup-guides/8bit-masternode-setup-guide-2/

I couldn't have done it without drays, who on page 253 posted code for a patch (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.20238850)
