The block chain actually isnt stuck. Its just 8% yearly POS at the end of the blocks so its going to take a while to find the coins i think.
why is blocks still 1888?

I can't remember the last time something like this happened and there wasn't a flash dump. Nice to see a little hiccup hasn't caused the usual panic selling.
No problem. A hardfork should solve this. Roadmaps ahead next week. Meanwhile I'm just staking my coins here 
looks like the chain is stalled, prolly due to high PoS diff and many people moving out of stake, guess we'll have to wait, or maybe dev can hardfork this to reduce minimum PoS diff.

Im 40 minutes away from a Pos block but its been counting down pretty slow like 1 minute each 10 minutes.
your coins will not mature any further unless the chain starts moving, maturity is based on blocks passed not on actual minutes/hours/days. the only saving grave is is someone staking currently finds a nounce to solve a high diff pos requirment

Proof of stake have been working as it kicked in earlier, now the chain is stalled probably due to high proof of stake diff and not enough staking coins, it will eventually move slowly. Anyway worst case this can be fixed with a hardfork.
The exchanges update their stuff if hardfork occurs correct?
Yes it will be fine, the exchanges will be contacted to update first, this will probably be fixed later today after the fork is made by the dev. I think this was caused by the reduced number of coins, and the minimum PoS 2.0 diff of 65k which will need to be reduced to match the low coins count for this coin.

In about 6 hours all wallets will go out of sync. Are we planning to wait that long?

Just a suggestion, fix the reason why the pos did not reward as it should have, and create a fork and a POS "do - over". So perhaps at block 2000 create the fork and pos reward schedule will be done then. Do it soon, or the chain will stop as there is no pow and pos is not moving the chain either. Also price will increase when people find out there will be another pos reward scheduled.

If the chain dose not move in the next few hours I will make a fix, inform
Exchanges and compile new wallets.
why not make a fix now and keep it in case, if ther chain moved np, if not u just release it. maybe the chain move and get stuck again for some hrs.
Not to worry I am working on one now just in case.
Waiting for an update here... in the meanwhile i stopped Stratums @ Suprnova.
