Airdrops is what no serious trader and no serious investor will do. It is a waste of your time and energy. It was relevant and could bring some income only two or three years ago. Now this is all - no one is interested.

I still participate in airdrops until now and with my experiences in the past 10 months here are what I notice.

Tweeted in Twitter Airdrops - Highly indentified as scam. Especially if you check the previous tweets and all it tweeted about is the airdrop and selfdrop with 0.01 ETH you get 1,000,000 XXX. Somthing like this scam.

Google Form Airdrops - 60% real, 40% scam. Almost half of the percentage are scam when airdrop is done in google forms. Still the same with 0.01 ETH you get 1,000,000 XXX are mostly scam. Just trying to get ETH in exchange of their shitcoin.

Airdrops done in websites - 85% real, 15% scam. I noticed some scammers now have evolved and now knows how to encode a website. But if the content of the website is again with 0.01 ETH you get 1,000,000 XXX then its highly possible to be scam. Other identifiables are that the website is poorly made with no Team members mentioned, no white paper, roadmaps and et cetera.

Selfdrops in Etherscan - Now this is like 2% real, 98% shitcoins. A lot of selfdrops now happening and that only a few gets real value. Some are just farming for ETHs and some are just making it for fund.

Airdrops Sponsored/organized by Airdropio, AirdropKing, et cetera... - 90% real, 10% does not pay or scam. I think joining airdrops in this way is the best option with little chance of getting scammed as they maintain reputation and do investigations before they tell us of a new airdrop. Sometimes they also receive a pre-payment for them to post about the airdrop.

But overall, despite if you get to join all, you will only earn very little if you sell your coins/tokens right away as soon as you see $$$ in etherscan. For me the best way is to keep them for like years and check them back after to see real profits. Ofcourse with this method, some of the tokens/coins may have already depcreciate and becomes 0 in value. The only airdrop I have known so far which become costly was with HYDRO for 222,222. But too bad for me since I did not participate at that time.

NOTE: THIS IS JUST BASE ON MY EXPERIENCE, NOT SOURCES AT ALL TO GIVE YOU.

Of course, most Airdrops scam. The fact is that too many scammers appeared on this market, everyone wants to make a lot of money with nothing. And of course, if even a normal project, then you earn very little because there are too many people in the projects.  Cool

The title of this thread is bit provocative, but the fact is that most people have a bad experience with airdrops. According to several airdrop hunters I spoke to, the majority ICOs don't pay out at all.

What's your experience with airdrops? Did you get scammed most of the times?
This is not true! in fact there are still many airdrops that are not scam and proven to have good selling points on the market. maybe you have not been lucky.

Now is not the most favorable time to participate in ayrdropah. Personally, I have abandoned this occupation. After all, 99% of projects simply do not pay. And the 1% that pays does not go on to the stock exchange.

Well most of them turn out to be scam project but i would not rate it as high as 99% because there are still some clean airdrops that are still running in the crypto community and they do pay their bounty hunters real good. I think the tiny bad nut always spoils the taste of bunch of good nuts. However, if you want to increase your gains in bounty hunting is best to participate in bounty campaigns other than airdrops which only gets you some meager amount of money.

indeed there are so many airdrops that are currently scattered and most of them just become scams, but not all of them are like that because there is also an airdrop which is really good in terms of innovation because I have followed that kind of airdrop

I disagree with this topic, these days many airdrops are being run by existing projects that are already listed on exchanges. or some projects running ICOs. so it is not upto 99% airdrops that are scam, let say may be 75% at most.

Not really. If you are more careful then no one will be able to scam you. Looking for high quality airdrop projects, projects that attract many large investors....
For me, airdrop is something very interesting ... and I like it.

Yes it is true. But they are not exactly scams, but you won't get anything from participating in Airdrops. 99 percent of them are equal to 1 USD or less, so try to be more careful with the time that you are investing in participating in different airdrops. Try bounties, you will earn much more.

at this time I rarely follow the airdrop whose coins have not been listed in exchange, so I just follow the airdrop if the coins to be shared have been listed in exchange first, this I do to avoid scam airdrops or just to find participants for promotion, so I never get a scam coin when following the airdrop

Totally agree, I gave up airdrop somewhere at the end of 2017 and don't regret I have a friend doing so far and he hasn't had anything sensible with the projects yet

What a mistake. Show me the sample data and whether it was representative that you are making such conclusions.

An awful lot of people who say that an awful lot of Airdrop is a fraud. And from my experience follows the Airdrop, the majority are indeed a fraud and still have a very good result. Token Airdrop when already logged in in Exchange for a very low price. And we have to wait for a long time, until the token price rises.

Many airdrop are scam and that is well known to every one , and more reason I don't participate in it any more , I believe they use the Google form to collect people's details for some reasons and before you know it your mails are full of spam mails , many of them don't have site or team even the project and will send a link of form to fill for airdrop and because of free money thing people don't bother checking some relevant things before giving their details and end up having nothing in their wallet , some even go as for to distribute but the token is no where to be trade or seen any where for years .

The world's largest provider of bitcoin wallets Blockchain intends to help cryptocurrency projects with airdrop-campaigns for its users. Representatives of the company are convinced that airdrop has no investment risks, as in ICO, and difficulties in interacting with hardware devices, as in mining.
