No, this is only 2018 current condition. If I compare with last year (2017) there are many legit airdrops. Like BLUE, ELTCOIN, EREAL, BITWHITE, REBL, and many more. So, I can say 2018 is the worst time for airdrop. I think the last Airdrop which gives good token was POLYMATH.
POLYMATH, HYDRO is 1%. Without cheating, you can't take any profit with airdrop.

Yes, that's the very truth. 99 percent of airdrop are fake. And it's very hard to find the remaining real one percent airdrop. I've been scammed like 2 etherum out of me. As from then I decided not to participate in the airdrop again.
99% too big for judge airdrop is scam. because lots of airdrop are real and not scam. so do not always think the airdrop is a scam, take a look at their roadmap and who are the team and their partners, it can all be taken into consideration before joining airdrop.
A lot of people just don't know how to wait, they want to get everything at once. Most companies do not pay immediately, but after one or two months.

I agree that a big part of airdrops are scam , but I think 99% is to pessimistic value . I know that some people didn't received their airdrops from a most part of their participations , but I think the reason of that is they didn't followed the rules and not qualified for airdrop . Thats it. I believe most part of "scam" airdrops are fair , participants simply not meet requirments .

Maybe you're just unlucky? I don't think airdrop has that many scams. If you look well, there are excellent projects. After all, no one wants to spend time and effort to find a good airdrop, because the payments are small.This has nothing to do with unluckiness...

In the subject there are not enough examples and where such statistics about 99%? If you participated in 1 ICO Airdrop and you were deceived, then this experience will not be enough. The second factor is better choose ICO.
All are not scams, no, I can talk because of my experience, I only haven't got 4 from 27 airdrops till now, but I don't do airdrops anymore and I did only promising ICOs, not every airdrop which was sent to my email.

I find the complete oppostie actually, I've participated in numerous airdrops and I got coins for pretty much everyone I participated in, now they weren't all worth a great deal of money but I always got something so IDK maybe your just having bad luck. try airdropalerts.com.

(of course there will be scams outside of the whole token airdrop scene as well, but I'd bet my money on it that the amount of scams with tokens is abundantly bigger)
Those tokens are too easy to create and were always almost instantly tradeable on etherdelta.
Mix in an airdrop to get a community going and start dumping, before you have ever put in any dev work at all.

I also join to people who say that this doesn't worth to try Airdrops. I have no bad experience but a lot of my friends had bad experience! So i wouldn't recommend it but only your choose.
I think the companies are just aware of the fact that for such low payments no one will fight and do not neglect us. Airdrop itself does quite a lot for the company, so in the future, when the last person refuses, the company will rush over the return of trust.

I have participated in many Airdrop programs, only some of them have been rewarded, many of which have so far failed to reward or even disappear.
That's why I really do not like the program Airdrop, and now I have left a program like this, I currently only focus on the ICO Project and some bounty programs.
That is almost the fact. Most of them just produce some tokens that will never be listed on any exchange. Some too, they will just list it, pump it and dump it and it will never rise again.For this reasons, i have decided to ignore almost every airdrop nor matter the token it is.

If 99% of airdrops are scam, then we need not participate in airdrop again. Well, i won't deny the fact that there are scam airdrops, yet i can confidently say that there are still legit or better still good airdrops. I have seen instances of such like ENU. Although, sometimes the developers are just out to make profit,but there are few with good products.
