Yes thats true fiat is more convenient to use for individual or in a place that bitcoin is not famous and its not widely known because if its not known in that place there will be no merchants that accepts it and no one can do transactions if people has no knowledge on it..but if all people will know bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that already exist nowadays and they will know the benefit of digital currencies in our lives im sure they will prefer to use bitcoin as a currency to use in their daily lives.

I believed, the most convenient use no other than is fiat money. Crypto is generate only on internet and we know that, for now it is helpful to us because it can easily to transfer money, it also easy to paying bills and other country they can also shop online here in crypto but the fees is too high and the problem is what if the internet has been turned off or there's no signal in the store that is why fiat is the most convenient use no matter have internet or not we can use mode of payment our traditional fiat and it has no fee. And its true that 99% of people wants to use fiat because not everyone here in this world also appreciate the modern technology.

I do think that the reason fiat wins is because it's constant and doesn't require internet or Anything else.
You can go around the world with fiat without any power supply or anything but you cannot afford to do so with cryptocurrencies because

It's not acceptable everywhere
It needs a constant internet supply
It's price is highly volatile

These kind of things makes people believe that fiat is the winner it's not their fault we do need to solve these issues first.

It is no denying that fiat still has better feature than bitcoin. Unlike fiat, bitcoin needs transaction fee and cannot be instantly used. Fiat is still more convenient as a form of payment. But I think fiat and bitcoin are very different with each other, bitcoin is more like an asset while fiat is really meant to be use a mean of buying and selling. I think there is no need for bitcoin and fiat to be compared, they are can actually go alongside with each other. Bitcoin has still fearures to develop and to advance, and the limitations it has must be covered by fiat.

This depends on how we understand things. Different people in different races with different perceptions and principles in life. As an individual living in poverty I myself seek for financial freedom and fiat never ever give us the chance to have it instead it lead us to debt while in cryptocurrency they are fast in international transactions, we can even reach the moon and the sun with the tokens/coins we had in a little effort and patience for as long as our hands aren't weak. Though fiat money is still way more convenient of course we can't deny it because fiat is stable but still not safe from tax to those who has allergy on it and also governments will of course hunt you and let you explain about the secret stash of wealth if they'd traced it since it is a centralized asset. Therefore, having both assets is wise.

I think bitcoin has also its disadvantages and only fiat money can fulfill that disadvantage. Some people can't be force to use cryptocurrencies for the reason that some of them do not really know what bitcoin is, and some may know and are using it but still as what I've said earlier, bitcoin has its disadvantages and one of them is that, it can't be use anywhere, anytime. Transactions with the use of bitcoin can't be done without internet and also it can't be use in daily lives just buying a piece of something in a grocery store. Fiat on the other hand can be used in that instead of crypto. Also people who doesn't have gadgets like beggars and poor people can't afford to use bitcoin/altcoins as a currency, even old people, it would be hard for them to use it as well.

As far as I am concerned, what we have right now is the freedom of choice as there is a new form of money we can use for many intent and purposes...meaning we are not anymore limited with the fiat money. Personally speaking, I have no problem with the fiat money and there is no need to say that it would soon die because there will always be many people who can not use new technology and we have to respect them for their choice. Can you just imagine a woman who is already 85 and you insist that she should be using the crypto form of money instead of the paper bills she might have in her purse? That would tantamount to be an insult.

There is no need to choose one over the other because both have advantages and disadvantages and that is a big reality we have to accept in life: there is no perfect invention ever and all are subject to change that is why we always say that there is always some room for improvement. We have to remember that there is no law or any moral code for that matter dictating that we should be prioritizing the digital form of money over its printed counterpart. In other words, we can have both and I think this is quite true with all people here in the Bitcoin community. We have Bitcoin and we also have the traditional paper money. No need to dismiss one in favor of the other one.

Great point. I agree. Fiat is still a more reliable medium of payment and investment compared to cryptocurrencies. That is the reason why many are still more comfortable and believes in it as well. I think for us who believe in the new age currency cryptocurrencies are offering, there is nothing wrong with some people siding on the negative because there will always be people like that. I think as more and more changes are brought about by the cryptocurrency market, it would also insight change to so many people.

I think most people prefer fiat money over crypto because it is more convenient as of the moment. Since it is still decentralized people still prefer to convert their cryptos to their local currency to buy stuffs because there are a lot of countries that does not accept cryptos yet, although there are some that does accept them but only in a limited establishments. So that maybe one of the reason why people still think fiat money over cryptocurrencies.

I am sure they do because there is no reason for us to say positive things about the bitcoin or other alts at the moment. The cryptos are not being used at the pace and quality at which they should have been up until now. Though they carries very advance tech like blockchain but it is still not fulfilling the needs of common transactor. I mean I can't send money to my family or friends due to ridiculously high fees and slower speeds of transaction. There is no altcoins for which I dedicate my time because they could turn out to be scam if wtih few exceptions only. Then what is the reason I should be happy about the crypto at all and hate the fiat currency which is best in every ways. I can have it physically and I can also have it digitally. The speed of transaction is fraction of seconds and I can send pretty good amounts too. So yeah for now fiat looks great.

99% percent of the people, while knowing it is probably not the most just, still think that the current system of creating money by banking multiplication and lending of FIAT currencies, with "so called credit rating agences" (which were already proven to be nothing more then Government approved speculators) deciding about interest rates for whole countries..... is the best way to go because it is not creating hypernflation, it is easy to use etc.

Well, they couldn't be more wrong. But crypto world is already gaining critical mass, and more and more people are getting the idea every day.

Only few people in the world has an idea of what bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are so most of the people think that fiat money is better than digital money without know what cryptocurrencies can do. Also, some people that think fiat money is better than digital money, experienced a bad thing that make them realize cryptocurrencies are not that good enough.

Even around me lately, my cousin and I were discussing about bitcoin and its present value and the people around were looking at us like dummies and asking questions in the sense like what is bitcoin again ? Is it a Ponzi ? And all that…

The thing is the population of people who know about bitcoin right now is still low and until we start seeing real life usage before we start seeing that population increasing. We here right now are just privilege which is why I keep saying bitcoin is still very low with the present value, wait until then.

It seems that what you are talking about is a matter of pro or contra in discussing the advantages or disadvantages that will be in the financial savings either in the form of crypto or in fiat money in general. I think this is a commonplace where everyone has an opinion with all the arguments they say about the form of investment using crypto currency. And despite all the arguments you have mentioned I think now crypto is a virtual currency that is very popular among investors who want to invest in it and of course this is what I personally can say that I think invest in crypto and especially with investing in bitcoin is a very profitable thing. Of course the bitcoin price that keeps on increasing over time is already able to prove that crypto is a very good future to invest and apart from that all of course all back on the opinions of each person about the pro or contra because I think every people have the right to their respective opinions.

Even most of us who are spenders today will still have to convert to fiat in most cases before we can utilize what we have to buy some of the things we need. Still, it is just the way it is for now, and gradually things would change over time when we start seeing more adoption and more usage.

If I can spend what I have without having to convert to fiat, why will I ever want to convert to fiat ? Until then, fiat will still remain easy to use, but does that make me prefer fiat over bitcoin? Absolutely not!

Not everyone know and understand how blockchain technology works, for them it is just a bunch of numbers in a computer. There are also people who just do not trust crypto currency. I really think that more and more people will understand what crypto currency is in the future.

I suppose the reason why some people think fiat money is better than bitcoin is that, they have no idea about what is bitcoin or its capabilities. They dont want to know it and ignore all the things that you will say to them about bitcoin. Or maybe they have some experiences in bitcoin that make them realize that fiat money is better than bitcoin.

Agreed! There will be hardly any reason to deny this fact that at the very present moment, there is only 1% of the population of the entire world who actually knows about this concept of bitcoin. They are even unaware of this word of bitcoin as well as crypto currency.

We cannot expect anything good from such kind of peoples. The thing is, we actually need to make people aware of this concept which will for sure change their minds.

I would not say it in that sense that 99% thinks fiat is better. I would rather say most of those 99% do not have any idea what bitcoin is even all about. Sure, there are some people who would like the traditional method way of doing things.

Even with what you have mentioned with some people in the world not having access to internet which makes them limited to the information about bitcoin, that does not make them prefer fiat to bitcoin but they just do not have any choice as that is the only means of payment they are aware of.

Well, even 1% of the people is more then enough and you will see that the number will go up significantly with time. This is depending the usage of cryptocurrencies. Maybe some countries will start to use them instead of their national fiat money, who knows.

That is true, even 1% makes a big difference. Crypto is like a virus that keeps spreading around the internet. Maybe for now people still in favor of fiat but will see in the near future that crypto will dominate over fiat.

This is simple real money is better because everyone is doing their jobs for earning real money and have the power to be legal worldwide that’s why people earn real money while bitcoin is also better because is also a decentralized cryptocurrency and people investing to earn bitcoin for many purposes like online shopping and money but also important for future.
