Gambling addiction can be frustrating and very frustrating if the player isn't taking his problem seriously. Many cases as this which I've seen from Australian gamblers, resulted from debt. Don't know why the man would take his life for losing money. If he's debt free, it's not a big deal to lose money in gambling. Maybe he needed to multiply his money for business purpose which failed him. However, gamblers shouldn't go as far as spending so much time and money to a stage where they need to pay with their life. Gamblers rarely feel bad about themselves, but the society does because of news such as this, it's quite sad that gambling is always tagged at the end of the story. Making it look obviously bad in the eyes of the society. 

No amount that will make me think about that. If I want to be dead, I want it to be the natural way and not because of gambling or some sort of debt that I can't pay.

There are people that can't move on with any amount of debt that they have and it's not just all about the debt but the shame that they've brought to themselves.

And just want to disappear after being known in their hood that he/she has got that much debt and known to be a gambling addict.

This is only a small part of the many incidents that occur and indeed even if we think that something like this is a ridiculous act but in fact there are not a few who do it.
Gambling if not accompanied by common sense and accompanied by a mature attitude then indeed this is one of the negative effects that occur.
Not a few we see a lot of criminal cases because of gambling such as murder human trafficking used as collateral or even other crimes are proof that in the end gambling can be a terrible thing .All can happen if we are already addicted to gambling and it is clearly not recommended because after all even if we gamble, it does not mean that we are a bad person who does not know anything and even does not know our identity just because of gambling .

Easy to say but if you are already on such condition or situation then you would really be hardly be able to make yourself having that kind of control on which it would really be that a common thing
that there would really be those people who do make suicide just because they've seen it that this one would really be the only solution.Its sad that there are people who do really took their lives
just because of extreme financial problem or issues because of too much gambling. If you do find yourself having that kind of problem since from the start then you shouldn't have made yourself that getting
dealing up with gambling the the first place. In every problem, then there's always a solution - it might be hard but doesnt mean that it would be impossible.

There are really those people who are really that emotional when it comes on dealing up with things on which on the time that they would really be on such extreme conditions on which they are really that suffering too much with stress and into those life conditions or moments on which they've seen that theres no other solution then this is the solution that they do think come up with and this is something which is a normal approach to have by most people. Some would be able to realize but there are those people who do really ends up on having those kind of actions because of too much stress and impulsive emotion on which we know that taking suicide
is never been a solution. It did really just turn out that there are people cant think up well about these stuffs.

Every problem does have its own solution on which if you do find out that you are on a tough situation due to problem then you could always think up on possible or various
solutions on which you could really be able to take so that you would be able to solve out such problem.

Whether you are in a developing country or not, we don't have to commit suicide because made loses in betting. There are people that don't have the luck in gambling and they always incurred loses but that do not mean that we have to keep gambling without using our brain. Once we know we are not always lucky in betting, it's good we become conscious and stay away from getting too frequent because by trying to hard, we might keep seeing loses. Gambling could be a good way to earn fast money but others might be very hard for one to earn from betting which we have to know what area we fall into.

This story keep appearing on my timeline during the early time of the suicide so I could not help but I read what really happened, he actually borrowed huge amount of money to stake a bet and he loss so he could not resist the force and frustration. Just imagine paying such huge amount of money but suicide is never an option. He never really had someone to talk to like a family cause I believe his family would have stop the process, why will a grown up man decide to commit suicide because of depression for not winning a bet although with such huge amount he would have respected himself when thinking of taking loan to bet.

When we do speak about value then it would really be that totally different to each other when we do speak about dollar or equivalent on which you would really be that surely having a hard time even on acquiring it for the rest of your life or even working for several years but still not really that enough on which there would really be those people who would making out those kind of gambling bets on the amount that is something that most people would really be struggling on saving up with.

This is why on the time that we do see those thousands of dollars been gambled out by those whales gamblers then we would really be trying out to reflect those amounts
for us to make use in our daily lives or something that pertains on imagining on where these money is being used from.
We do know that each person does have their own financial capabilities on which there are ones who are really that huge spendor and there are
ones who are really that sensible on their spending with gambling.

One should not take any life-threatening decision because of gambling losses. The gambler must remember that life is worth more than money. Maybe 3K or more is too much for some gamblers but it should be remembered that no matter how big the amount of money is, it is not bigger than life. I believe that gamblers who take such suicidal decisions are gambling with emotion which should never be acceptable. A gambler must not equate emotion and gambling. Moreover, it is never advised to bet any amount of money in gambling, which will put the gambler in serious trouble if he loses the money.Not only the person mentioned in this discussion, but there are many gamblers all over the world who, on impulse or due to various pressures, take the decision to lose their lives, which is nothing but a kind of stupidity.

maybe in some developed countries $3K is not that much and is very easy to get, but if you are in a developing country $3k worth of money is very valuable and it is even very difficult to get it even if you have worked for years, but that guy seemed to have lost his mind so he took his life

Well, it's rather very unfortunate that some people will gamble to this extent where they end up in such a very tight corner in their own rat race, some who have gambled to the extent that he or she lost every penny he or she had, should have know that, borrowing or taking a loan to continue gambling will likely end up in the same way he or she lost his own money, a person does not keep doing the same thing and expect a different result, yeah, in gambling, things are not static, loses are not static, and so also is winnings, but in times when a person is experiencing a constant loses, or going through a long losing streak, besr thing to do is to take a break for a while, don't be overly anxious to gain everything back over night, for this is the trick our emotions plays on us, which most of the time leads to even more loses.

Last year here in my country, a student used his school fee to gamble, and lost it all, not knowing what to tell his parents happened to his school fees, he was determined to get his school fees back, he then collected his friends school fees and also used it to gamble, believing that he would win, and replace his friends school fees, replace his lost shoool fees as well, and also have some change left to keep for himself, but unfortunately, he also lost his friend's school fees as well.
When the whole thing broke out and he was being pressured by his friend to provide his school fees he took, he could bear the shame and pressure, he went and killed himself, this is a young promising 22 year old boy.
Gambling out of control have ruined a lot of lives.

Sometimes people get addicted in gambling and after heavy losses, then want to restart again. As they already lost everything, he try to take loan or borrow money from friends or relative and assurance them that he'll return their money with profit. But when a gambler ended up losing more again, he can't face anyone even other people will pressure him to return money. That's the reason, a gambler sometime take his life to get rid of those problem.that's why it is necessary to have control in yourself and become so responsible & maintain discipline while gambling. Although I don't have that much courage and I'll never take loan for sake of such uncertain things gambling

Case to case basis actually but you do really got a point that in every problem there would really be that a solution.It did really just turned out that he had opt in on taking his own life
for him to be able to solve out that problem on which we know that it wasnt really worth at all on trying to kill yourself just because of money. This is why i can say that people who do really
have this kind of thinking are to those people who have those weak mind and emotion on which they do really easily give up just because they've thought that it is really that over for them.
We cant really just make things to be that easily be able to resolved it out on point but its not something impossible. So better look up for some ways on doing so
rather than on taking up a suicide.

The weakest human in the world is a human who is willing to take his own life, his mind is very short, there are many gamblers out there who lost more money than him but they have no intention of ending their lives.  Therefore, every gambler must have good thoughts and strategies when gambling, try to set a budget when starting to gamble, not more or less, don't create debt just to gamble, if you lose and run out of capital then stop for now, continue tomorrow, capital that has been lost is impossible to return again in a short time.

That's right, and actually the solution is only those closest to him and also people who realize that he is in big trouble, and the problem is because he is not honest or open about his problems, especially with his gambling problem. If he opens up, there will definitely be some people close to him or his family who always look after him and can also provide advice while he is gambling, and may also know when he is experiencing stress and depression due to experiencing huge gambling losses.
Actually, there are still many ways out in any problem and no matter how big if we are open and honest. And if not then he will increasingly lose his mind and Satan will support him which will make him lose a lot of money because of gambling and also make him commit suicide because of his weak faith. And I am very concerned about this incident, and the people who commit suicide not because of their actions, but because they are not honest or open to those closest to them and their family. Because there is a possibility that they will find out about it, prevent it, advise it and so on with kindness.

I think the biggest trouble is that we are talking about people who already have psychological issues, that's the main root of the problem. If I lose everything I have to gambling, and I mean everything, my house, my car, my possessions, my money, have maxed out credit card and maxed out loans and all, basically ALL is gone, which all would be worth a ton, and would mean I will never live a decent life ever again, I would still not consider that as a reason to hurt myself.

You can leave me with one pant, one shirt, and leave me on the street with none around me, my family disowned me, my wife divorced me, living on the streets and I guarantee you that in 6 months to a year I will build myself a life where I could just sleep at a tiny room, and have food everyday to eat, sure not a rich life, quite poor, but not homeless drug addict or taking my life levels. This is mental health, you need to have mental health at good level to be like this, it's not talent or skill, it's not seeking help when you need it.

Yes, they are aware of the risks they will face in gambling. But the problem is that most gamblers get greedy when they win and don't decide to stop immediately. Apart from that, many gamblers end up gambling with large amounts of money, which causes them to experience losses that they cannot bear. It makes them not think about what they should do after experiencing a big loss so they decide on what they think is a shortcut to end it all and that's what makes them decide to end their life instead of solving the problem. They won't be able to win as easily as they imagine so they should think about never using a lot of money to gamble.

The level of winning that gamblers will get is not as big as they imagine, especially if they use more money to gamble. They will only experience bigger losses if they repeat the same things. That is why gamblers understand that they do not need to use big money to gamble to avoid losses that can also be bigger. They need to take good care of themselves when gambling so that they don't experience problems that could occur after they finish gambling. It is true that if a gambler experiences a big loss, they will feel pressure, which can make their emotions unstable and in the end, they will decide to commit suicide to end all the problems resulting from their gambling losses.

This is not a good one taking your life because you got loss? Sounds bad for me no matter what happens we need to control ourselves we need to focus on the real life bot in gambling life. That gambler failed his life because of losses maybe that money he use for gamble is the money that they really need. And that's the reason why he take his life. That's a quite big amount if money but before he doing anything he must think thrice or even More the outcome of his plan. But it's already happen for sure his soul will regret what he doing.

He lost 2.5 million naira in their nigerian currency if it will convert in USD it’s around 3K$+, Apparently, it was not such a large amount of money that caused him to commit suicide, so i agree with you here other reason behind gambling losses or it was such a big loss for him that he mentally lost control of himself and did this.

Well, I am so sad for him and for his family as it is a very heartful accident that happened to them. We all know that gambling is not always on our side not fully work on our desires but still, people doing this. If you are not comfortable with an amount or can't afford to lose then why do people put into gambling knowing that if they lose they will lose all of their funds? There is some person who takes the gamble too seriously and when they face such a situation they do not see any hope and last, they do suicide. One thing that I wanna highlight here is that the fund you lost did not come automatically, you are the one who earned that money and if a situation like this comes then think for a while that you can earn this money again because you have the ability and you can rid of this situation but if you chose suicide then nothing will change and the tough time on your family after you will be increasing day by day.
