Honestly rushing won't get you anywhere and you will end up messing up, fast rank up doesn't work out well if you are always in rush instead love what you do and you will be loved back, talk about crypto, solve problems, create interesting topics that people will want to talk about, there is no short cuts to growing

Lots of newbies fall in to this problem where they tend to rush posting while sacrificing quality.

Like what I previously mentioned to similar posts such as this one, the more you rush on getting merits, the harder would it be for you to actually receive one. Instead, focus on contributing to the forum (i.e. reporting scams, creating meaningful and insightful topics, share knowledge, etc.) and the merits will be the one chasing after your posts.

Every legendary member in the forum was once a newbie. Even the top ranking members here were once a newbie. But what separates them from at least 90% of the newbies is that they pushed harder and contribute enough to attain their respective ranks.

Your main aim should be to provide quality content via posting, sharing your knowledge with other members and promote a healthy discussions on the forum instead of making a thread for every small news or making irrelevant posts.Increase your knowledge and try to learn new things from experienced forum members and implement them. With all these your post quality and knowledge will rise which will eventually make you legendary or hero member with lot of merits and trust. This forum is open for all and you can share anything which is useful for the community and learn which you don't know.Soon you will see results if you keep the pace.

Growth is what we all anticipate for and it brings in some level of fulfilment. I was once a newbie so was every one who have earned merits as well as activities. Knowledge been the principal reason why we are here has to be our major concern not just the level we have attained because fame without knowledge isn't useful at all.

Are you sure that needs to be manually enabled for each account?
I just checked LoyceBot2, and it is indeed enabled already.

...

keep making quality posts dude, then merit will come...

Newbie and legendary ranks have the same freedom here and I noticed most newbies don't want to learn from legendary posts. I will definitely give merit to the newbie if the account deserves it.

You have to enable this first: Click Profile > Notifications and Email > Automatically watch topics after replying to them.
I don't think you do. I think those options are ticked by default. I don't remember having to manually make any changes, but then again, it was a long time ago. Are you sure that needs to be manually enabled for each account?

Ranking is just an award that you achieve even I don't want to be legendary but want to be knowledgeable about bitcoin and provide the latest education to post on this forum so that it will attract a lot of interest by other members.
The ranking is how we have reached the peak of the highest score where people give us merit for the insights given and make them amazed, that's what I want the very broad knowledge I want.
You have a good example of goal that you wanted to achieve but what about op and other lower ranks?. I always read in a thread of a lower rank like newbies, jr. member or even member wanted to rank but did not set a goal to achieve. There is a reason why this forum is created which the answer is very obvious and that is to RSL (Read Share Learn).

When you post in a thread, that thread gets added to your watchlist.
You have to enable this first: Click Profile > Notifications and Email > Automatically watch topics after replying to them.
See:
I don't understand why anyone would not use the watchlist. You can configure the watchlist to be exactly the same as "show new replies to your posts" by configuring your posts to be auto-watched and adding your posted-in topics to your watchlist. After this is done, you can unwatch topics that you don't want to see.

Thank you very much @DdmrDdmr and @Pmalek for the answer to my questions above. I am very grate.
Now I can link my account to telegram to receive notifications and also I have learnt to reply/quote more than one person on a single replying in order to avoid serial replies.

You have only three messages, and you conclude that experienced participants do not quite treat beginners correctly.

Which could only mean we have an alt here or someone trying to play the pity game. The funny thing about most account complaining about them not recieving merit is when you try reviewing the account, hardly will you find any outstanding contributions. Mostly average post you'll see and yet they go around crying they're not been merited.

Instead of chasing after the merit OP make it get attracted to you due to your contributions, if you observe closely, we have members recieving merits in their numbers not because of some privilege instead as a result of their dedications to they forum.

All their posts are always construction and worth reading. I doubt you won't get the appreciation you deserve if you can level up your game and make it become a habit and not merely a disguise to get rewarded and rank up.

a Hero or a Legentary member can have his account hacked and return back the start...
happened to me
my stolen acount was hero account: Lowbander80
I see that you already created a thread in Meta about your account being hacked and you were advised to get in touch with the account recovery team. If you have access to the original email you registered the account with + you can provide a signed message from an address posted somewhere on the forum (an unedited post), your chances of a successful recovery are high. Did you do all that?

It's sometimes difficult for me to know when there are replies on my trend. I don't know if it's because am not used to the forum. Is there no way a notification can bimp to me if there is a reply to my post.
When you post in a thread, that thread gets added to your watchlist. The newest replies are shown on the top. Just search the first couple of pages of your watchlist by entering CTRL+F KingsDen to see if any of the threads created by you have some new replies. That wont show you if someone replied to one of your posts, just if there are new replies in your threads. That's how I do it.

To see if someone mentioned me or replied to one of mine posts, I use LoyceV's notification bot. Instructions on how to sign up are in the 1st and 2nd post.

There is no forum based notifier when you are quoted on the forum, but you can use one of multiple mechanisms:
a)   Use the forum’s search function at will (which is what I do):
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.57042061

b)   Use external sites and/or notifications through Telegram. The two most popular I believe are:
-   https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/telegram-yet-another-bitcointalk-notification-bot-merits-mentions-topics-5248878
-   https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/loycevs-notification-bot-7-days-retroactive-5331343

Concerning your second question, you shouldn’t really post multiple posts in a row on the same thread, especially if it’s in a very small timeframe. It you want to answer to 10 people on the thread, you can quote the relevant part of each of them, and answer below each quote, providing multiple answers in a single post. If the post ends-up being rather long, you may reach the post size limit and need to post a couple in a row (reaching post size limit should justify this).

Dont get trigger with other high rank members here in forum. You have privilege even you are newbie to speak and discuss knowleagble things about bitcoin and crypto.
Many members here that are high ranks now are also kust like you before mate. Learning and keep making mistakes but thats fine. Along the way youll correct some of those and be recognize as one of the reputable member of thsi forum.

Remember rank is just a bonus, you can even surpass them in knowledge and charisma once you discuss amazing thing about bitcoin. Goodluck with your journey.

All of the people who are experienced or with a higher knowledge were once a newbie before they got in that position.

There's no such thing as an instant success or high rank, you need to work hard for that in order for you to be in that position.

Don't mind the struggle, learn how to overcome it and achieve it as soon as possible.

Don't focus on earning merits, just focus on your goal and your duty here in our forum.

Best of luck to your journey and I hope that you achieve your desires.

I made this post in two categories; first to encourage the newbie and second to advice the old members.

For the newbie, I believe most of us are sharing in my wish. My wish to become a legend, a legend with so much merits and positive trust.  But dreams do not come true without hardwork.
First we must appreciate and accept our newbie status by showing the inclination to learn.
We should learn by keen observations, by reading through the posts of the old members, this will help pattern our attitude in the forum, it will also help us to grow with the norms and ethics of the forum.
By so doing our passion for the forum will be high, it is the passion that creates the way to success.

For the Old members, I will liken the forum to a building from foundation to roofing.
The building at the foundation stage does not make it less building, but it is the stage at which the engineer puts much efforts and expertise. Take the newbie as the foundation, help us grow, for if the foundation is wrongly laid, it will have a significant negative effects at the completion stage.

Congratulations to me for having an account in this forum, I am looking forward to a rapid and sustainable growth with your help.

Thank you everyone. I have been reading replies, and they are all awesome. I will never forget this trend, I would always return here for some guidelines because some older members have done noble already through their replies.
But, I have some questions please.

It's sometimes difficult for me to know when there are replies on my trend. I don't know if it's because am not used to the forum. Is there no way a notification can bimp to me if there is a reply to my post.

I understood that my post should not follow one after the other, without another's post interfering (I don't know if I have rightly conveyed what is in my mind) Assuming I am offline, before I come online, I will meet like 10 replies, would it be wrong to be replying the posts serially. Please I need answers.

You should not only apply patience on waiting for different cryptocurrencies price to grow, if you have been in the forum for a while you clearly know how much perseverance is required for you to achieve a high ranking. Before, you can rank up through the number of activities but now, you need to gain merit from other forum members before you can level up. This somehow filtrated the real ones who posts and comments and those who only does this for post count. Other than the benefit it gives once you join a bounty, having a high rank gives you the reputation of being a useful and helpful member in the forum.
