It depends the kind education you mean. If you are talking about formal education that involves going through tertiary school, that will not be necessary. The education needed is just that related to the business, terminologies and analysis of the market.
In trading, a lot of experience is needed not a educated people. Trading is not for all the educated people. If it will, all the educated people will trade. Good analysis, experience and more knowledge about crypto currency is needed for trading.
The best way to become successful in trading is the rich experience you get from bad to worst trade decisions and then will get better.

Educated means knowledge and educated in school and in trading is different. Time will say when a trader will be successful with right trading. First of all, Educated term is fully relative, you don't mean that only degree holder person is not an educated person. When you have a lot of knowledge about a particular thing then you must be an educated on that issue. Obviously, Without proper knowledge, you can't gain anything, you have to gather proper education in every aspect if you want to win.

Well for me a lot of successful trader right now is really educated so there is no doubt that to became very successful in trading world a lot of traders should be educated on all cryptocurrenct that can make them profitable or successful. 
There is a truth in that .. but it is not a must I think. I know some traders who are doing great without a good educational background. what I think is a good trader must have a good decision taking ability + little bit luck
Education can be obtain even by ourselves and no formal education needed. That depends on how willing we are and the effort we spend in order to realize our passion, if we will love what we are doing and we are capable
