My suggestion to new investors is to stay away from ICO coins. It is very difficult to predict which ICO will success and when one is new to crypto world, this task is almost impossible. So better invest in coins which are already listed on exchanges, this way you won't lose all of your money at least.

I think there are still many altcoins that have very good potential to be able to generate very large profits, if you are in doubt with jinbi then you can try with other altcoins, and jinbi jiga is still classified as a new token which is still not seen how its development in the past ahead, it doesn't hurt if you save a little coin jinbi so that when prices go up you can benefit from jinbi.
don't believe in JINBI, I am one of the victims of JINBI bounty, they are asking for ID data. but to date they have not distributed allocations to bounties. in general, most projects today are a bad idea. because it cannot have progress before or after listing on the market. if you want to invest, you should invest in ethereum, ltc, xrp, waves, etc. and especially bitcoin. it's better than a new project at this time.
Knowing what are the legit coins should be taken seriously. It's not just the voice of the people but you need to understand the things that the project you have invested is trying to endorse. My money is on Ethereum and Bitcoin and I don't want to take risk at this rate because the market is continually swaying.

I had heard the news about the jinbi project, and they said ICO funds were inadequate (did not reach softcap)
so they decided to return the money that had been collected, and told it to the public, I think this is better than a person who suddenly disappears without news.
of course there are still good projects, if there are no more ICOs, it means that no technology has been developed or has reached the maximum.
for now it is still in the development stage so there will be an ICO until it really doesn't need any more updates, though I doubt that.

Yeah, something happened in this project. Jinbi coin make hype and i think they raised millions of dollar. It’s added in coinmarketcap and price is very good $13.21 USD (9.53%) but listed two big poor exchanges. There are no project update from the long time even still bounty hunter didn’t get payment. Team is very unprofessional so i don’t trust in their dev. We never expect such activities from the legitimate projects. You have to spend more times to find legit projects. Altcoin still carries a very serious risk to buy. It's not easy being able to get your way in this market. I will invest as soon as I feel the rise again. I keep waiting for now. Making a quick entry can cause huge losses.

second i always do my research before investing,,

Risky or not actually depends on us looking for which are the potential to be invested because of course not all altcoin is bad. it all depends on us doing research which is suitable that we can invest in the long term or short term as an investment

it is getting harder and harder to identify which new crypto is legit. Moreover, almost no new altcoin shows good results after the token sale, thats why I prefer to hold my funds in BTC at the moment.

Altcoins are still very trustable, but I can't blame the community to see some altcoins have such a bad image because of the 2017 scams. One way to know if they're truly legit is if they have an existing company behind or launched it. One of Korea's major telecom have now started to use crypto/blockchain to solve nasty issues that we're getting from our local carriers such as high fees and data issues. They really can't mess up if they have such a huge brand behind them running.
But it's definitely recommended to not go all in on altcoins, better have 1/4 of your portfolio to be allocated for that and the others should be on major coins like btc, eth.

I cannot say that all altcoins are legit and good for investment. Many investors are being scammed by fake projects, according to reports.
