My gaming pc has an x4 slot but no m.2.  Any chance some of these will be made for an x4 ff instead of m.2?

I imagine the market for this product will be a lot of smaller time miners who can't afford to risk $4k on a full fpga.  A lot of older mobos have a spare x4 but no m.2.

I filled out the survey. Would like to test a few before installing in clients rigs or recommending to others.

Looks interesting, do you have an aprox. order/ship date or not yet?

Mid to Late June for all orders and information. First batch ship a few weeks after.

Are we still on target for this time frame to order?

I'm in Australia and that would tie in perfect because I need to spend some money before tax time (June 31st)

I've been looking for a fpga to program that is around this price point. I've tried the cyclone demo boards as I want to make a html coin miner. Html coin algo Is unique it does 3 rounds of sha256. Basically running at 2/3 speed of bitcoin algo. 700Mh/s on a 1070.. would the fpga be any use for this bitcoin style algo. I'm thinking it would be prob same speed but lot less watts.
Cheers.

I completed the survey and am looking forward to more detailed information.  Unfortunately about half of our motherboards do not have a M.2 slot, so I'd like to hear more about the pcie to m.2 adapters in particular.

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?

the slot the pcie->m2 adapter plugs into needs to be run at least as x4 pcie lanes (gen 2 or better iirc).

All of my pcie slots are set to gen2 in bios.  So presumably the adapter would work under these circumstances?

as long as the slot has at least 4 pcie lanes assigned to it, yes. check the mobo manual to make sure the slots are set up right, the pcie lanes per slot vary depending on bios settings.

You speak of 30 MH of increase using it of hybrid form, that increase with how many GPU's would be?, You have approximate date of commercialization? A greeting from Spain.

Maybe I missed it, but some clarification would be needed..

Is the bump in hash per gpu or combined bump per gpu group?

I have the exact same question re: the ballpark 30 MH figure.

I was also disappointed that the GTX 970 and RX 550 aren't on the list. I'm a baller on a budget!

Finally, (another repeated question) does the software work in combination with existing mining software to bridge the gap between the GPU and FGPA or does it do all the mining itself?

Incidentally could researchers benefit from it to do whatever research it is they do with GPUs?

I notice on the survey that RX 480's are not listed.. will they not get a bump using this new tech?

I took the survey.  Some of the questions are difficult to answer with any certainty without more information.  I'm not sure how many I want until I know whether going from 1 accelerator to 2 produces diminishing returns, for example.  Hard to say which model I'm interested in without knowing anything about the difference in performance.

I think this can be used with an m.2 to pcie adapter, right?  For a motherboard that has open pcie slots obviously.  My boards don't have m.2 slots (TB250 BTC PRO and TB85).

Would be nice to get a timeline for orders.

How do you handle orders?

Preorder and wait?

Pay and quick ship?

BTC and other cryptos?

Escrow accepted?

Paypal?

CC?

I would think  you could sell a lot of these. I hope  to get some soon.

Thanks to OhGodAGirl I found this thread, now I have some ques to ask, Kristy mentioned that this FPGA will be reducing the load from GPU for GPU demanding Keccak and others part (NonFP ) which most known algorithm uses - ETH/Equi/(ProgPOW if it becomes reality). That means if this can do say Keccak part at 15W then the GPU Power usage will drop significantly - as mentioned by Kristy again. So can you confirm in details? Also your in-house test say for a OC'ed RX580 how much power can you save?

I also found this thanks to Kristy and a Youtube video from Seth Estrada, really exciting stuff! Put me down for a few, survey completed.

I am not on Discord... Have there been any more information about the release / ordering / shipping of the Acorns? Would be a nice little addition to rejuvenate existing rigs...
